I bought this projector because of your video and I’m excited to play with it, but I hate trying to use it with my strobe because I can’t see what the light is looking like until I take the shot and it’s a lot of guess work! Can you recommend an affordable led light (preferably godox brand) that works with the godox projector and is powerful enough to do portrait photography with?

I think you could create a slit like that also with bare bulb and blocking with some v-flats … seems cheaper

You probably don't even need the shutters or the optical unit.. just the barndoor directly on the sa 17..

You can also just put two flags or v-flats close to the model to make the strip of light.
