Yeah the media were like hyenas that time, they were making all kinds of baseless rumours and speculations which put the fans in more stress and frenzy, I will never forgive media for the chaos they created that time😒

I think Namjoon crying always makes army's cry, especially here that he was sobbing and being SO vulnerable with us, it's not a new thing but he really just put everything on the table here!! I'm so glad you finally watched this and hope it opens your eyes for some things you didn't know, and you understand a little better the importance of their solo's journeys!!! Also, while I know it's light-hearted, hope you don't put too much pressure on Jin when he's back!! Whatever he decides to do we should be happy about, tbh just because he'll be back it's already perfect, and he'll have so much outside pressure (media, society etc) so as army's we should just be a big support!!!

Jungkook went Live the day after this because ARMY was in shambles...and he reassured everyone they weren't going anywhere then proceeded to drink wine out of a coffee cup with ice in it and then gave us a whole concert 🥰 Jungkook is not from this world!

You gotta understand all Army was excited about Festa, the majority was expecting tour dates and what not. This dinner was hard for us in different ways. We were heartbroken, not only because there was a kind of uncertainty of what was going to happen but because they were so honest about what they were going through and their feelings, my heart was in pain seeing Nam cry, and seeing the others get choked up. And after the dinner, the media was talking about this, saying they are disbanding and twisting their words (as usual). And it was so bad that JK went live to tell us that was not happening, Nam wrote a letter... it was wild.

They come to LIVE and say that they met each other, they are always there for each other, they always tell Army that everything will be fine and I only trust them!
This TEAM. I just can’t explain, but the way they understand each other without words, they always know when a member needs help and know what he’s thinking. And the way they open up to each other. They also share with Army and tell us about their experiences.
In the solo era, there was always support and connection with the group. BTS is a real FAMILY.
2025 will be the return of a new chapter for them, with new sides. It will be legendary.

I think we can all agree that when Namjoon broke down like that, it spoke volumes about how they were feeling. When he cried, the whole fandom felt it
The point that BTS cried because they felt guilty and apologetic for taking some time off from group activites, it broke me. These men have been constantly and continuously working for the past 10 years, not taking a break EVER, always delivering their best even through burnouts and exhaustions and the thought of taking some time for themselves made them break.
It blows my mind when I look at their journey in Chapter 2. They have grown and evolved so so much. They were in a situation that was completely out of their hands, had to go on hiatus partially sue to ME at the peak of their careers, worked on themselves while still prioritizing their group - we have been without any one member for JUST 6 months in a 3 year hiatus, they planned everything when they must have felt so much uncertainty and fear and they have only grown stronger.
My respect and love for them has only grown over time.
Yes. It also feel awful that as soon as they are in the military, where they continue working very hard while trying to not disappoint anybody. There are these shady people trying to ta drag them in the mud.

Jimin and Namjoon crying breaks me every time 😭 Also, Jin saying his album will be last makes perfect sense because he already knew he'd be enlisting later that year. They had so much to think about and go through, I can't imagine how pressuring and hard it all was. As much as this Festa and break hurts for us fans who love them, I'm SO happy they got to take this time for themselves!

After this Festa, numerous media around the world reported that BTS had begun the process of disbanding. This was because when many previous boy groups spoke of a "hiatus," it was usually just another way of saying they were disbanding. However, BTS confirmed to us that disbanding was absolutely not the case by completing their contract renewals for activities in 2025, before enlisting for military service💜💜
as a 2015 army that went through everything live, i just want to put things into perspective. bts were at the top that time, peak success, 2021 was amazing (butter era: #1 bb hot 100 for weeks, grammy nominations, performances, followed by ptd, everything) and suddenly festa 2022. everyone watching the festa dinner video was expecting a happy, cheerfull dinner as usual, as they always do years before. but halfway through the video, something started to feel off. things that we didn't know (they moved out of the dorm, their anxiety, them losing their desire in music, etc.) revealed. it was a saaad night for us. we were shocked, hopeless, we felt guilty, everything started to feel like a dream, not real. twitter was crazy. everyone was confused and sad. to all army that went through that night (and just all army ever, the baby army, veteran army), we are all strong. thanks for always supporting the boys. I cried so hard watching that dinner, I had mixed feelings of happiness that they can finally release solo works and sadness that they're thinking we might get disappointed with their decision. It was really a hard time for all of us but I'm glad we're getting through it together.
and I've never been so upset and mad about the media's reaction too, they twisted their words so bad and a lot of chaos happened that the members had to explain AGAIN.

Everyone watching must have cried when Namjoon did -- along with what he was saying about not having to care about "the rules of the world"... oh, man... I wish I'd found BTS earlier -- I fell down the rabbit hole in late 2020, and completely lived it and breathed it for months, absorbing all the inside jokes and 'famed' moments that fans like to replay and their history and everything (alongside the music and performances themselves); so I felt like I'd internalized and actually "lived" all those years with them... because of that context, even as a younger Army at the time, it felt like the planet actually tilted on its axis or shifted timelines when BTS launched their INDIVIDUAL Instagram accounts! Like, yep -- chapter two is well and truly here now. Even as a younger Army at the time, I really felt what V said about how BTS' whole identity is so rooted in their being a group, in being together all the time. The start of chapter 2 was a real case of growing pains -- knowing it was necessary and yet still feeling heart-achy. Seeing each of them traveling, creating, working, promoting, and performing alone felt so lonely at first (for them and us). Now, I think everyone is stronger for it.
And seeing BTS -- like most other SK males in their 20s -- fulfilling their military duties just makes me even prouder of them. I mean, we'd all prefer a world where any kind of military doesn't need to exist at all, but things being the way they are... I'm thankful and proud of them. In many ways, the tough and rigorous idol life (especially for a group like BTS that ran full steam for almost a decade already) prepared them physically and mentally for the next-level challenges of military life... and in turn, military life will prepare them for the next chapter as well. Just thinking how a decade of learning and perfecting a million intricate choreography routines must have prepared them especially well to follow directions and pick up movements and formations and synchronization -- just military-style... 😅
I won't say they were never this vulnerable or raw with us before, you'll get to it soon enough, but this really was the peak!! Even tho 2022 was a tough year and as the Festa/Proof release was going we knew something was coming, nothing could have prepared us for what they talked about here!!! It's very refreshing to watch this now actually because obviously I don't like them crying or feeling like that, but since it's been 2 years since this Festa and they had their solos, feel like they really got over a lot of it, matured and thought of themselves first before the team after a long while, so while I don't like that they felt like that it's good to see recent stuff and how they got better and improved!!! I'd love SO MUCH if you watched Mini&Moni Music because they talk a little more about it too and how Namjoon felt during the making of RPWP!!! But it does spoil some of his songs from the new album so i don't think you will 😭
This is THE group I stan. There will never be another that can both make me feel completely blissful and extremely emotional. Their sincerity is so palpable. It hurts to see them being worried about letting us down. How can they ever? I mean, look at all these amazing solo works they have been giving us! I love these boys💜🥹.

you may have noticed they didn’t mention military service here! they hadn’t announced that yet, so that’s part of what they’re dancing around every time they’re saying things like “it’ll be some time until we do this again,” or that jin will be the last to release an album. they would’ve had to take this break anyways, but i’m glad they got to do it mostly in their terms, taking advantage of being forced apart to take some time for individual development and solo projects. and allowing themselves to rest from the hectic life and intense pressure of being a member of bts.
so much has happened since this…, they did the concert in busan (that wasn’t planned when this dinner was recorded, that’s why they said they would show us a run bts performance when they’re back together (after their service), but ended up being way sooner than they expected), all the suchwita episodes, the disney+ bts documentary, suga’s road to d-day, hobi’s j-hope in the box and j-hope on the street documentaries, most recently the mini moni music album exchange, so we’ve gotten to see glimpses of how each member has felt since this dinner.

I remember waking up the morning of this Festa video release, and the Internet was EXPLODING with wild spectulation that the group was really disbanding because of one word Namjoon said during this Festa (or was interpreted as): "Hiatus".
When other former bands have announced that they were going on a "hiatus", that word was sometimes a code word for "disbanding", so, International Armies were literally going crazy thinking that the members were actually disbanding, and all chaos broke loose. The Media speculations, assumptions, and false reports just added fuel to the chaos.
Hybe investors also believed the same as International Armies did, and pulled their money out of Hybe, and after the release of this video, the next day, Hybe stock prices plummeted which made Hybe employees question whether they should start looking for jobs with other companies.
Armies were confused, Social Media was going crazy with speculation, Hybe's valuation and worth as a company was plummeting, BTS and Hybe were confused as to what was happening or why (since they didn't understand the hidden meaning of "hiatus"), and Hybe employees were contemplating looking for jobs elsewhere, all because Namjoon said that the group was going on a "hiatus".
Namjoon had to release a follow-up statement letter that he wrote himself onto their Weverse App after the release of this Festa video reassuring Army, Hybe Investors, and Hybe Employees, that BTS was IN FACT, NOT disbanding. That letter calmed everybody down, and things slowly went back to normal.
Also following, the editors of this Festa video deleted the word "Hiatus" from the subtitles and changed it to "a short break".
Namjoon kept telling us afterwards: "Forget the word, forget the word!" (Hiatus)

I remember seeing hiatus in the subtitles of the Festa video before it was changed. It was part of the translation of the video. Whoever translated the video into English used the word correctly. They just didn't know that it had a double meaning.
It was a lot to take in when it was released (it was my first Festa and totally not what i was expecting 😆), people started panicking, the media came out with unnecessary dramatic articles but then JK came on live soon after and clarified everything assuring everyone that "BTS is forever"! 😊
I am also so glad that they were this open and candid about everything they were going through and now we can tell how much they needed to explore music individually, with their solo projects/albums. I really believe those experiences made them grow even more as musicians and artists!

The reason why they have to explain this is when they were announcing to have a break, Media took it as if they were disbanding, which is not. It's just the circumstances and the situation was pulling them back with the issue of them going into the Military. It just sucks that their gov also doesn't even appreciate them. It was such a hard year for them. And that break really did something good to them looking at their solos, im so proud of them.
Namjoon made me cry again and what is happening right now between hybe and ador and all those articles about them. Made me realise again that they don't deserve this hate 😭😭😭
ARMY twt was in shambles that day.. I myself cried for hours even before watching the FESTA just seeing posts on twt. I remembered being so heart broken seeing them going through such a hard time. And on top of that the articles next day pissed all of us off. I remembered RM's post on Weverse back then where he directly said that the content was for ARMY only. We have been so thankful that they decided to discuss this with us during Festa rather than just by agency notice. It just shows how much boys think of ARMY 😢😢

I remember scrambling to read posts, trying to figure out what was going on, then seeing clips of RM .. I actively put off watching the whole thing for quite awhile, until I knew I could process it properly .. but it still broke my heart 😟
Also, not long after I bought something BTS related & remember the cashier casually mentioning, "Oh, you know they're breaking up, right?" & immediately felt my blood pressure rise 😤
This day broke my heart. Not because they were going to take a break, but because we finely heard what they were feeling and that the biggest reason was to be afraid to disappoint us. I felt guilty, even though I always wanted the best for them, the fact that they always think about us and not about them, broke my heart
It is funny watching this in hindsight as they didn't even mention their military enlistment during this chat but there was a press release about Jin not long after. So this is obviously what they were gearing up for.
After this ARMY thought we would all be having a break, but came to discover we are busier than ever during chapter 2!💜
The heart-pounding sadness we felt while watching that live broadcast, fearing they might announce their disbandment.
Looking back now, every member were actually scheduled for military enlistment after that festa. However, we didn't know that at the time, so we were all bound to be cried. (fortunately, there were Jungkook's reassurance on Vlive the next day that there would absolutely be no disbandment ).

Honestly Yoongi gave us such s blessing with Sutchwita, seeing the members together on the show we got that interaction we were missing. Also since they renewed their contracts we know they are def coming back. Plus they had so many interactions together last year that we werent completely cut off from bts,💜
"Don't take this the negative way"
I'm gonna honest with you- i took it the negative way.
It wasn't that I didn't trust their decision. I understood them in my mind, but watching that festa dinner LIVE, my heart was still breaking. My heart was breaking from all sorts of reasons.
I've always felt that ARMYs and BTS are family, rather just mere artists & fans.
And in this house, there's ARMY and there's BTS and we coexist tgt, as family, etc. So, imagine you have multiple family members living together, and you're close, and youve lived tgt for many years, And then one day, not 1 but 7 of your family members simultaneously announce to you "we're moving out". Rationally, you understand their reason. But the shock and heartache, you still feel it.
And second, was the fear of change and anxiety. BTS is always evolving, yes, but they're always tgt. N back then kpop groups were NOTORIOUS for secretly hating eo and bts was such outliers in that they actually care n love for eo. So when they announced that they're moving apart, not just physically but also music-career wise, it scared the living hell out of me. I kept thinking, but what if they grow apart, what if they get so used to being alone that getting back tgt as a group would feel impossible.
Im so glad that at the time, when this live dropped, ARMYs showed up for eo, encouraged and reassured eo without invalidating how hard some ARMYs were taking the news, all while reminding eo to trust BTS and to trust our years of experience standjng by BTS, and watching their sincerity n love for eo and for ARMYs.
Retrospectively watching this again, i would say, yeah everything turned out okay in the end. But back then, how well these past 2 years have been, how good their music exploration was,,how we can see them everywhere in eo's projects supporting eo,, back then all these were in the unknown.
ARMYs were hit with this fest dinner live. And by the time this live ended, we were facing an unknown future. And that was scary as hell

"Hiatus" was the word in the subtitles, which they did change it to "a short break", that confused International Army's thinking they were disbanding, and Hybe stocks drop after this show. RM had to, in other words, calm the world down with a letter. Someone posted a video about what the word Hiatus means to BTS than other bands Hiatus. Army knows BTS usually keep their promises. 💜 Army's let them know we'll wait. I hope I said this right. 😊
One thing i realized is when i watch this video for the first time back in 2022 i was CRYING and BAWLING my eyes out till it gets swollen, the second time i watch it i was also crying but more manageable than the first time. and the third time i watch this with you guys i teared up a bit and it shows that the trust i put in them is not a waste. Fast forward now, 2 weeks till jin came home. gosh armys we've been through a lot
This is the first time I’m watching this after 2 years. It still hurts but Jin is coming back so at least it would hurt less. I honestly think they were talking enlisting instead of breaking up but we didn’t know any better. We all cried with Namjoon and I think I was just shocked and totally forgot about this. It’s nice to watch this again and know everything worked out for them and army at the end. Can’t wait for Jin and BTS anniversary this year. 💜

To explain the whole break confusion, it was because the subtitles in the video said “hiatus” before… the media saw it on the internet and ran with it and started saying they were going to end up like other groups that went on hiatus. So, that’s why the whole commotion started. Then they changed it to “break” because that’s what they actually said in Korean.
The sad part is hiatus literally means a break, not disbandment. But other groups who have gone on a "hiatus" have tainted the word to mean break up.
That's right, Taehyung in chapter 2 was the most demanded in many fields and showed diversity, tae the most restrictive because it has many aspects and demand that were rejected because of the BTS schedule ... FINALLYY

This moment was tearjerker and makes us ARMY so sad at that time even until now whenever we watch this. Now we know why Namjoon is crying here, He is going thru something ... having existential crisis and he is kinda mentally and physically exhausted that time... Now we all saw it on his songs and mixtapes, like WILDFLOWER, and his album RPWP. Even Jimin let all his emotions in his album FACE.
after the dinner, the media was talking about this all over the internet and in Korea , saying that they are disbanding or going on hiatus and twisting their words (as usual and as always). JK even went live to tell us that was not happening, Namjoon even wrote a letter on weverse telling the media is twisting their words, they are not disbanding or going on Hiatus ... as we all now, they have lots and lots of contents for us from that time up until now that Jin is coming back, they're even more active even they are inside the Military.
Taetae is so respectful. He never once cut anyone during the whole conversation and never get angry whenever other member cut him off. He is the most patient person i have seen in my whole life.
You guys are lucky that you know that they’re gonna come back in 2025 at that time we didn’t even knew about the whole military and 2025 thing so I think it was super hard for us. It breaks my heart to see them like this and see them thought that they can ever dissapoint us. I hope all worries will go away with time and we’ll meet each other soon in 2025. 💜

I had a feeling of devastation that didn't go away for several days or even weeks...
This video was emotionally difficult for me, but now I watch it and understand how right it was for THEM.
They are very strong ,they have always been like this and it’s incredible to realize how much strength it took for them to walk this path and remain such sincere and honest people.

I watched this dinner party video as soon as it came out and while I was surprised and sad, I understood what they wanted to do and where they were coming from. After this video went up, international media and korean media all went nuts misinterpreting everything and saying BTS is going on hiatus, BTS is disbanding, etc. ARMY were already super emotional and BTS were bravely so vulnerable in this video. Namjoon had to write up a weverse post, saying he never got so many text messages in his life, that this video was meant to explain their situation to ARMY only, and clarifying that they are not disbanding but taking a break from group music. Korean ARMYs also told us that the tone of his post was very firm and protective. The head of some Korean singer society even had the gall to release a statement asking BTS to reconsider their break, afraid it would damage the kpop wave. Honesty, I hated how the media treated them after this video came out. It was a rough time.

I've been an army since 2015, i spent my whole teenage years with them, i love them to bits, that even when i heard rumors that jin will enlist in military way back before pandemic there has been rumors about it, i'd cry a river just the thought of it, the first time they had hiatus, way before the military thing, when they had vacation themselves and even vlogged it, I got so sad I even felt depress, and the first time I watched this festa, I cried for a week, it broke my heart, I can't even explain the sadness i've felt. Just to hear there thoughts, just to know that they are tired of exceeding our expectations, broke me a lot, because while we enjoy their music, their company, their journey, they are in the verge of quitting, that behind their successful albums, they feel that they've lost their identity, but despite that they still think of us, they still consider what we would feel with their decisions, I feel like in this video we see their weakness that even they are a successful group, they still are fragile and
This is not over reacting but this is how i really felt, to be honest, i still hoped that they will be exemptedd because the korean government at that time are still discussing whether they postponed or exempt in the military, i got shocked that it still continued but when i heard that they are the ones who pushed through it, who decides to do it, i got sad but i became prouder of them, because of how brave they are to do it, the did not use their power, they did not abuse it, they still do what is right and what is in law, whatever happens in 2025, i may have other priorities but I will always bee proud of them, i will always boast how i witnessed their journey, how i've been with them through highs and lows, i will always cherish those memories, they will always have a special place in my heart

Is so hard looking him crying, there are so plenty expectations and pressure under him as the leader, I saw almost diary people insulting him, telling is bad at music, that he's ugly, that he isn't like the maknae line and even this days after minimoni exchanging music even people told him to k i l l himself, I think he was suffering so much and that's why it was his idea to stop and find who is him in music, I'm so proud to see him and connect with him and his music since RM to Mono to Indigo to RPWP and collaborations in between, so proud of his work and proud of him as a person, I hope he at least know that even when it's not the whole army that loves him, he will always have his Namjoon biased... ❤ I remember that I used to hated and talk about bad of kpop until I know Joon, I hope one day he realized how important he is and how loved, I hope he find his happiness and he could live the life he want❤
i remember where i was what i was doing when this dinner video dropped. i couldnt watch it live bc the subs were not synced for me so i put it off till the video was available for rewatch. went to twitter instead and my heart dropped even more with everyone going "what.." 'oh namjoon...." found out what was going on and bursted into tears. my heart ached for them, then comes the guilt. so more tears. fast forward months later and we got the busan concert. fast forward the day after and we got the military announcement. and that was really when things felt real. but fast forward to present day and we're 13 days away from welcoming our big brother Jin home. 💜

Hearing and seeing Namjoon break like absolutely tore me. I think Namjoon isn't someone who cries easily, but this was just like a punch to the gut. It's not the first time they've been so open, but it felt more intimate as it was a subject that is hard to bring up, for both bts and army. Watching this again after two years and seeing how we're all anticipating a reunion really makes me happy
Seen this live, me been a baby army by then with only a few months tear me up😭 Meeting them at that time was the best thing I have ever had, getting to know them each individually and as a group. We as fans most of the time forget that they are humans too and experience all the emotions and feelings we experience too. I think them taking the decision to take a break and be themselves enjoy their time and be able to live in peace and with no stress or anxiety is the best decision they’ve ever made. I remember watching this when it came out and let me tell you i was bawling my eyes out i felt so bad for them all i want for them is to be happy and now that 2025 is approaching im so glad because this whole burden of going to the military will be lifted of off their shoulders and they won't have to worry about it anymore jin is coming back in 2 weeks and im so excited army will welcome him back with an abundance of tears and love 💜
i watched this two months into being a baby army, i was already emotionally attached and everything, so excited for my first festa. it was my first time being so attached and loving a group again after one direction had disbanded. when i saw this it was a slap in the face and reminded me of when 1d said they were going on hiatus. now remember i was only 2 months in so i didn't know bts well enough okay. i got like ptsd from that and was so scared i came too late and that this was the end. i even thought about leaving the fandom. but they said to trust them and only them and i was hesitant but i decided to trust them and I'm so glad i did. bts's bond is like no other. I'm so glad they truly have each other and that they truly love and cherish each other like real family.

Remember, these guys had a whole corporation of thousands of people that depend on them. That also has a role in what they decide to do.
This was in june and they didn't announce they'd be starting to enlist until october, so watching this now makes it really clear that they're talking around that. Saying (in part one) if they'd done what they planned in 2019 they'd be 'back by now' without saying back from what. Yoongi saying he's packing his schedule now because he won't be able to in a year or two (because he'll be enlisted), etc.

Also even for us who were fans for a while before, and knew the members individually, it's still been SO eye opening seeing each members individual projects since the hiatus. It''s really driven home just HOW different and uniquely talented each member is. I keep seeing people say how crazy it is that these 7 very different powerhouses are in one group, but now that they're all getting a chance to explore and develop their differences, I'm super excited to see how all of this will influence their group work in future
The funny thing about this Festa was.. it was bittersweet for sure. And... a feeling of "It's been 9 years... why do you think we (ARMY) won't understand???"
We had no expectations of them.. that's grand. Whatever they gave, we took. Took it to the sky. I was somewhat painful to know they think we demanded a lot from them.

About Run BTS, when episodes 154 and 155 came out the boys said they would stop filming more episodes for a while as they wanted to take a little break. You see they would release a new episode every tuesday which meant they would film a lot in a short time for them to be released every week. This "last episodes" came out around october 2021 and the special espisodes started a few months after Festa 2022, not before.

This was the hardest watch in real time. Everyone was expecting a festa dinner like before but the news of the hiatus and solo work took EVERYONE by surprise. At that time I thought it was related to military enlistment which was announced a few months later the day after the Busan concert. Media articles in the days following this dinner aggravated Army’s fears that BTS was disbanding and not just taking a break because a hiatus from previous groups meant disbandment. Jungkook went live to assure Army a few days after this (and clarified the number of mattresses he had 😊), Joon wrote a letter and even Yoongi talked about how media said they were disbanding in his show. Watching this again in 2024 and with Jin’s return in less than 2 weeks, means that the promise of OT7 made 2 years prior is almost upon us. The individual growth of the members that Army has been privileged to witness in Ch.2 has been gratifying in so many ways.

this is my third time watching this dinner festa and I cried for the third time even though it had been 2 years since chapter two started!! but I feel so freaking bad that they felt that they're disappointing ARMY by taking a break and going solo to discover themselves even better and show the world what they can do as individual. I lost it at Namjoon crying. He is the one who has not shown alot of his vulnerable side. I was crying but when RM started my family had to come n ask me what's wrong because i was sobbing. It was so much altogether (not living together, going on a break, their pressures, their exhaustion, their fears etc etc) and then the fact that we didnt know this was coming. N media went crazy later and JK had to come live and explain that they are not disbanding.

Watching this in real time was... whew! Seeing it again almost 2 years later still made me cry. I still cried for all of them. But so, so glad they were all able to really do what they said they would. Get that friendship tattoo, release solo albums and show their individual colors! I've seen this Festa dinner 3 or 4 times and Namjoon's comments at the end still make me cry. ARMY got hella angry, too, because people who weren't ARMY made fun of him for crying and some people even made it into a meme. It was something along the lines of, "You aren't ARMY and he was talking directly to us, so why are you even watching it? Go away!" On the plus side, I don't know if you noticed it or not, but Jin confirmed that he does plan to release a solo album. Since he hasn't released it yet, then he'll probably release it soon after he is out, maybe even before the end of June. Debut anniversary for BTS is literally just two weeks away. I can't wait to see Jin again.
This dinner was such an emotional rollercoaster, I still remember all my feelings at that time.
I cry a lot, not because of me being afraid that they might disband, but because of them, being so open, vulnerable, emotional, and true.
I feel greatful for their honesty (they can't say all, as Jimin said, specially about their military enlistment, but it was clear ) and how they talk to us.
I was proud of them, true artists who need to feed themselves with life to get a new inspiration in their art.
I feel full of hope when they talk about the future and what they want to show us.
I feel nostalgic when they talk about the old dorm and their new houses.
I feel painful and it's hurt me when I see how exhausted they are, how lost about the direction BTS will take to survive now that they have reach the top. How afraid they are that we don't understand them, but still hoping we do. And of course, we did. We understand them, and give all the blessing JK ask for. We want them to rest, have time to grow, to discover themselves, and be happy. We promisses we will be there for them, as BTS and as individuals. Probably a lot of Army feel frustrated because we wanted to hug them and tell them : "it's OK, guys. Take your time, we will always be with you", but we can't do that directly.
And maybe we feel guilty, a little ? Hearing that the boys felt guilty about wanting a break was painful, because in a way, we are a part of the system, wanting always more for our own sake : more songs, more performance, more concert, more shows, more interaction on Vlive then Weverse... They always give us comfort and joy, often strenght to fight for our dream or life or a better future, so we don't want to repayed them with pressure, burn out and fear. Just with love and support.
Just after the Festa, no matter the media's fuss, I was sure "The best is yet to come", for BTS and each member, and that Army will be there. And here we are, 2 years after, with so much content even during the military, and such amazing and wonderful solo albums. And Jin is come back home in a few days....
During this time there was so many emotions...we felt for all the members...then there was so much uncertainty ..we didn't know what their solo endeavors were gonna be like...and at the time this festa happened we still didn't know what was gonna be happening with their military enlistment...it was a very emotional time I think I cried on and off for a week. But now knowing what happened its beyond what I thought was gonna happen...and I'm so happy they were able to do all of this and I'm so excited for Jin to be home
I hope someone told you (if not, I am telling you now) that also part of their sadness and why they kept mentioning that they can’t reveal anything to ARMY in real time is the thing with them going to the military. It was a big debate then, no one knew if they were gonna do it or not. There were talks about them maybe getting an exemption from the military, but there was a chaos in Korean parliament and government about all this thing. Announcement about them going to the military came only months later - day after their Busan concert. They didn’t want their fans to be sad during the concert. So them having a break was of course, on one side, them wanting to have a break from BTS group activities and explore solo stuff more. But on the other side, there was simply no other way of moving forward than that as they had already decided to go to the military (btw, they had already said in the past they want to do it and fulfill their duty to their country, so the country’s attemptions to modify laws to allow them not to do it were actually quite meaningless). Chapter 2 was inevitable and also logical. BUT they couldn’t mention the military at the time of this FESTA video, hence their dual emotions and sadness. And that’s why also we couldn’t fully grasp what it meant then. Although there were already suspicions then that they are going to the military, hence the break and chapter 2. Of course, they could also take a break (or actually, disband) and mature ARMYs wouldn’t mind. It’s their life. They should pursue their own way and happiness of life.

Reviving this Festa 2022 was hard. When RM started to cry, my heart broke into peaces. And the next day the Korean and US media headlines " Was BTS are going an Hiatus. Jungkook had come and lived and explained.
I cried again, I saw it once, and never saw it again, but I love them, how they always try to be so sincere.
I will never forget the day this video dropped… I was a mess and my heart broke in hundred pieces 😭 This video became our nightmare for while but now it’s not as painful because whatever they said came to reality and we saw them grow individually and do their own thing. We saw them heal in real time and keeping their sincerity to the end. I am so proud of them.

Feb 2020- Releasing the lead single 'ON' of their last album BTS Map of the Soul: 7 before the tour2020- Starting of the world tour till the year end2021- finish world tour and announces for the military enlistment (They were suppose to enlist then becuz jin was already 29)2023- come back after military enlistment and reunite by their 10th anniversary This was the original plan but as COVID broke out their enlistment keep getting delayed and they were already in a phase of despair and worried as they just said that they were out of things to say and was preparing for their enlistment and they had nothing planned out, but they had to do something because just like Namjoon said kpop industry never gives you time to think because if u wanna survive you must keep moving😪😪....After 2018 pandemic was the worst time for them as well as for us,but thanks to that most of the fans became ARMYs in the pandemic time.......Now let's hope for the best and only 13 more days for our jinnie to come back.....FOR SURE 2025 IS GOING TO BE A BLAST FOR ALL OF US AND WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR IT SINCE THEY ARE GOING TO START THE CHAPTER 2 OF BTS🤩🤩🤩.....
There's more to Jimin & RM's comment on not being able to share what they really want to share. Jimin added that's the hardest & saddest part. It's not about taking break from group activity. It's about very personal thing that could potentially ruin their career or recieve massive blacklash when revealed.

I swear that at the time I wasn't brave enough to see it the first time it came out, I knew how painful and beautiful it was and seeing them cry has always been like they were stabbing my heart, the moment I see their voices crack because of all the love they have for army is simply something I can't resist and this video really in the random can be considered one of the most painful but beautiful moments, seeing them talking like that is so amazing and made you see that they really They are artists who love what they do and are down to earth like no other, I am so proud of them for 9 years and I am proud to be ARMY and love them from now on in their lives.
