- Produced in 1995 this video chronicles the evolution of mechanical cane harvesting in Australia. The historical content spans the period of harvesting by hand through to the mechanised cane harvesters which were in operation at the time the video was produced.
Its sad to see how far we have fallen behind in the sugarcane industry, miss the times when Australia was large in everything.
I remember watching this as a child at the sugar museum in the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens. Great video!

Has anyone heard of the Australian hand cane cutting championships in homehill qld. I been in it got 2nd place in 2017. Its on may the 26th may 2023.

@@ajitjadhav3446yeah because we're small farmers with small land and harvester cause lots of damage to sugarcane roots so we prefer manual labour
