yeah I thought that too xD My fav part was "just mute the other strings with your finger like this" and I was like OK, I need a tutorial on that part xD
@@AsaNoGaijin I spent all last night practicing palm muting. Learning ozzy crazy train.. I almost gave up on it, but realized how many songs have alot of palm muting.
i left playing guitar.. about 6 to 7 yrs. all i know is basic chords.. but with this fucking great teacher... im here holding back a guitar. tnx to you...
Yeah this guy is THE guy when it comes too guitar tutorials , ive picked up so much from him also... what a fucking sequence off riffs by metallica .. genius so hard 🥶🤟🏽
I have just bought an electric Ibanez and I have always wanted to learn this song. This tutorial, like the following ones, is fantastic! Thank you so much!
I feel weird coming to this video already knowing how to play it. I wanted to learn how to hit the small details, but realized that I already had it down. Nice video, though. ;D
I completed this video took me like 4 weeks. But it's ok. So 2 more videos to go and trust me learning how to play Enter Sandman this gentlemen right here is the perfect teacher.
Kirk plays the intro with his pinky on the A and middle finger on the D. After doing it myself, it’s a lot easier to do that, and it lets you ring out every note
I'm going to buy a electric guitar and want to learn this song first. Can someone tell me the name of the guitar he is using. If I'm mistake that it's just an ordinary guitar then sorry
I am surprised that when I play along with his videos that my guitar nearly has the same tone as his. I dont think he pushes it super far to make himself sound exactly the same as the music he tutors us in. I like it because I didnt spend a ton of money on my guitar and equipment (probably 600 altogether) and I only have to make little changes to achieve the vague kind of tones that generally fit the style that I'm learning. Turn a nob, Step on a pedal, easy peasy japanesey.
Ok Carl I have been practicing with different videos and came to the conclusion that your videos will be my 💯 % dedication to be that great guitar player ...I am doing so well on symphony of destruction and sandman ..and look forward to saving all these videos To my own playlist 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
2:57 How do you dial in that kind of chug on something like Amplitube? My palm mutes sound so lifeless compared to that. I've tried analyzing my technique, but I don't think that seems to be the issue.
As we can see from your channel, there are 753,000 people learning guitar, or trying to improve playing. Coz no reason for anyone of those to not subscribe. Oh... and we also can see how important an amp is in order to achieve a great sound. I have no idea you can get such huge chugging palm muted tones on a strat, or single coil.
Great job! I never tried playing this song before but I will try today Thanks to you. What sound effects are you using is there a link that you could provide that would allow us to buy the same effect guitar pedals you are using for this song.
Hi. Thanks for the vids. 👍 My problem is on the intro riff, knowing I’ve played 12 of them to start on the next one. Am I supposed to be able to count them and play? I’m trying and my rhythm gets off.
Effects and amps determine your sound. The Scholz Rockman made every guitar sound the same, Malmsteen uses clean pickups and his amp & pedals do the rest, Bernie Tormé's strat sounds like no other just by using a Big Muff and an equalizer, the guitarist for Earthless uses a strat and it sounds like a stoner SG , Frank Marino has an SG that sounds like strat... all very interesting !
I checked many guitar tabs and showed this 5 fret instead the open third string. Is it correct? 1e|----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2b|----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3g|----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4d|------5-------------5-------------------------------------------------------- 5a|----7--------7---7----------7------------------------------------------------ 6e|--0-----6--5---0-------6--5--------------------------------------------------
Actually they make 6 string bass guitars. And 12 string bass guitars...and 12 string guitars....and 8 string guitars...and 7 string guitars....there are different types but yeah obviously this is an electric guitar and not a bass xD
I like the casualness in the lessons. "Just do this and this" *starts totally shredding*
yeah I thought that too xD My fav part was "just mute the other strings with your finger like this" and I was like OK, I need a tutorial on that part xD
🤣😅
@@AsaNoGaijin Late reply, but that's a power chord and any power chord tutorial will teach you how to mute the other strings
It seems like that at first but, as you probably know since this was over a year ago, its actually pretty easy as you keep learning
@@AsaNoGaijin I spent all last night practicing palm muting. Learning ozzy crazy train.. I almost gave up on it, but realized how many songs have alot of palm muting.
my tuning on metallica songs :

Agreed!
not only this popular song cover, also included so many "they should already know" details for beginners which no one really taught.
He's doing it wrong maan
How much have you progressed since this comment my friend?
I learned 3 chords and said fuck it let’s take a stab at enter sandman
I bet you know more than 3 chords now haha

Wow this man is awesome !! You have to watch the movie !! There is a lot to learn!!
Hey man thanks for all your videos you tought me alot and I can play four of your songs because of your videos.
During the opening lick you can let the e string ring out if you use an open a instead of 5 on the low e.
I would fucking love to be able to play this!
I'm trying a guitar soon from my step-dad who doesn't really use it anymore and i'm going to try it out
This is excellent!

I wonder how many times I will be playing and replaying the parts of these vids 😁

Looks like a Fender Strat. Personally I would go for a Gibson Les Paul or Epiphone if you are on a budget
Really nice! Congrats!!
The third finger should be held down the whole time during the intro.
Thanks so much Carl sandman is one oy my all time favourite Metallica songs
Great tutorial!
What amp and settings are you using? I'm surprised how close your sound is to the original despite using a Strat and single coils. Sounds fantastic!

4th = D
3rd = G
2nd = B
1st = e (high)
That's standard tuning.
