      I am surprised that when I play along with his videos that my guitar nearly has the same tone as his. I dont think he pushes it super far to make himself sound exactly the same as the music he tutors us in.
      I like it because I didnt spend a ton of money on my guitar and equipment (probably 600 altogether) and I only have to make little changes to achieve the vague kind of tones that generally fit the style that I'm learning. Turn a nob, Step on a pedal, easy peasy japanesey.

      +victoria price
      6th = E (low)
      5th = A
      4th = D
      3rd = G
      2nd = B
      1st = e (high)
      That's standard tuning.

    Oh... and we also can see how important an amp is in order to achieve a great sound. I have no idea you can get such huge chugging palm muted tones on a strat, or single coil.

      Effects and amps determine your sound. The Scholz Rockman made every guitar sound the same, Malmsteen uses clean pickups and his amp & pedals do the rest, Bernie Tormé's strat sounds like no other just by using a Big Muff and an equalizer, the guitarist for Earthless uses a strat and it sounds like a stoner SG , Frank Marino has an SG that sounds like strat... all very interesting !
