The percussion work in The Hardkiss is unmatched by so much of what has been mainstream these last few decades. Talk about taking pride in your instrument. The songs are well written musically with each instrument and of course, Julia's vocal work (she really is amazing). But the percussion takes a forefront. It seems that people's musical IQ has dropped since those dreadful days of Grunge and 90's crap. The Hardkiss certainly held themselves to a higher standard. There is nothing predictable about the percussion work in their songs and is outstanding on this song in particular. And probably alot of fun to play. Rush fan here. I love The Hardkiss. Glad you posted this video. It was cool to see the drum work up close.
