I have a renault master 2013 campervan where the sliding door handle has come off. I have been advised by my mechanic that both the outer & inner pieces need replacing (even though it has'nt been opened up yet). These include the Grip-Outside Handle AUD $208, Rivet $12 & Module-otr $295 = Total 511 prior to labour (1.5 hrs). Does this seem a bit excessive and can I just replace the outer piece??
We had to change some broken parts on the inside too, but the whole replacement was only around £64. Your prices do seem very expensive. When I get in the office I’ll see if I can find out where the parts came from. Saying that, it has broken again, and it needs fixing once more. I have since discovered that the handle was replaced just before I bought it too. It’s a major design problem
I think he means how did you take the inner (broken part of door handle) off. Im trying to replace my handle but struggling to get the old part off from the inside.
I eventually figured it out :). Thanks for the video, very useful. Had held off doing the job for 2 months and climbed in my camper via the back, so much easier now @@foxystravels

@@foxystravels thanks for reply
How do you take it off though?
It fell off when it snapped

@@finlaycairns2196 I'll ask Wayne who actually did the job
