- I really hate to say this but I'm afraid that The Wolf Among Us 2 and Telltale Games are dead. This video explains why I believe the once giant in the adventure game industry and it's current ownership is not to be trusted to give us a good game.

I think their best projects have been the Batman telltale story, would rather have season 3 but if all their staff are gone i don’t wanna it at this point they should really update their engine and think for long term plans.
Long as Telltale ain't making it, I'm okay with that.
The people making the game was Ad Hoc Games which was made of former TellTale employees and Deck Nine.
Ohhh how sad. I really thought it would release this year, but considering what has happened with the company I’m afraid you’re right. I didn’t realize Wolf 2 was so far behind in production. Also a great point re: who in their right minds would bail them out if it’s not even a good investment? Probably no one, and as sad as it is for the fans of their games, I can certainly understand it.
And yes-please make a video about Telltale & Deck Nine! That’s another company I’ve really enjoyed games from (e.g. Life Is Strange and even The Expanse) and I’d love to hear what’s going on with that too!

Just make it an animated show or something. It’s be easier to wrote a linear story without multi endings + easier transition into the Fables graphic novels

Honestly, i was already aware of the images. They were sent to our editor in chief a while ago. It’s something and I’m hopeful. It’s uplifting that they publicly made a statement but I still feel like it’s a bait cast hoping to reel in an investor. Crossing fingers

Does that mean any hope for a season 2 or 3 of the Telltale Game of Thrones series is dead too.
GoT's final season probably buried any hope for the game series to continue.

I loved the initial Walking Dead games by Tell Tale Games! Those stories were epic and gut wrenching, and the writing had the ability to draw you in and care for the characters themselves. I played like 3 hours of the latest Walking Dead game and could immediately tell that something was off. Now it all makes sense, it was no longer the same developers and story tellers. So sad that we won't really be getting anymore stories from the old developers. So often people don't realize how important the work of the creative team is, you really can't outsource that kind of work because those people won't care about the story nearly as much as the original creators. I’m really sad about this cuz I love the concept of The Wolf Among Us. The lore the setting the mood the action and situations EVERYTHING!! It’s one of the first things that made me really think I should try to study animation in college.
It’s sad to see it not having the potential it was ment to have. Not to mention Tell Tale has had a LOT of backlash- ESPECIALLY to the Minecraft community when they lost the licensing to Minecraft Storymode shortly after the second season came out and not many people got to play it all. Like all that time money and effort into making that just went POOF! Gone!
Sure Netflix brought it back for a year or two then they recently got rid of that too. Cuz no one would play the Netflix version.
It is sad on how far Tell Tale has fallen and they have no idea how to get back up again on their own. It would probably be better to ask someone else if they could take the games they have written and give it to a new company so that players can actually still enjoy their games they have played for years when tell tale was doing well.
But then again who is gonna buy games from a company going down the toilet? And the fact they are laying off their employees is just sad.

I'd rather they just be honest at this point because if they just keep saying "we're working on it" and then being radio silent I don't think I'll ever forgive them if they end up cancelling it.

It hasn’t been promoted since early 23. It was supposed to be staffed after the Expanse. When The Expanse busted, TT cut their marketing and even canned their customer service employees. They are clearly trying to make the books appear tolerable by cutting essential staff in hopes of a bail out

Sorry for the random, unrelated question-but will you be doing anymore of Legend of Skye? I just finished it and would love to see what you think of the rest of the game. I truly enjoyed it for the most part, but I have to admit that some of the puzzles were SO confusing (to say the least). I would be *completely* lying if I said I didn’t have to look for a hint a few times, especially towards the end. 😆
Yes. We had a bunch of AGFF stuff pop up and now I’m on vacation. I got up to where I need to get into the cave. The gnome area. Looking forward to playing more.

Why is this on here telltale has not made adventure games in over a decade. They make games where choice dont matter, NO PUZZLES, and lame qte events. The expanse failed bc most consumers now see through their money grab BS.
