Thank you for featuring one of the greatest live performance of a Whitney Houston tribute medley. It has been three years since this video was uploaded and to this day, there is hardly any other medley that comes close. Perhaps Glennis Grace and Ayegee Paredes can get it done but until that happens, Katrina "owns" this
There's a South African (where I'm from) Whitney impersonator called Belinda David's, whom I think is better than Glynis Grace, but neither of them come even close to Katrina, just sitting there, all chilled. Power, agility. It's all there in spades, and then some 🤯

That's where the genius of Katrina really comes in, instead of copying all of Whitney's characteristics and in the end be compared to Whitney, Glennis, Belinda and every other singer who can mimic Whitney, she decided to use a slower vibrato, punctuated runs and full chest voice where other singers switch to mixed head. I think that video was the last time she sang it note for note identical to the original. @@remarpc Just watched that Medley now, and yes, it's definitely slowed down, as to add some nuances to the performance. Her chest voice is where that power lies. A vocal gymnast of the highest order. Might I add, that the crowd are pretty darn good. Must say. And she's looking oh so good, in that clip 😍. Heard she had a nose job, which I cannot understand, cause she looked perfect. Hope she did not affect her instrument, cause that would be a monumental travesty 🤞

At risk of being blasphemous, she looked smoking hot in that tight orange top with the hair swoop 😍. As to the rhinoplasty, I wish she could have avoided all that superficial stuff but she is in the business of looking good so it was a necessary evil of sorts. The human nose, after all, grows more pronounced as a person ages so it was just a matter of time. Didn't seem to affect her performance so I hope and pray it is all good

Still my favorite Whitney Medley of Katrina's. And I found out several foreign vloggers (those who were able to know her at an early time) were there that night and get to chat with her before her gig. So lucky to watch her live. Not sure if that was her last performance of the night but she was singing massive songs for several hours by then (with a few singers performing on her breaks or sometimes impromptu performances from the audience). Plus she's very humorous. I prefer this setting than a concert stage, cause it's more intimate and she gets to interact with her audience more. Too bad I wasn't able to watch her sing like this before. Once Covid is over, that's one of the things I'll do. Hopefully you'll get to visit Philippines and see her too, amongst other things 😊
