This has been a Plainly Slappin' production. Produced by you, John, in a currently ... trippy ... corner of southern London, UK.
:D
Hahaha! I love it 🤣
@@PlainlyDifficult - You did a great job on this. As a past club DJ, this is a fabulous piece. You should make Miss Monique (RUclips channel) aware that your music exists. I will share her a link. She has a HUGE following in the EDM community and she very well may use some of your stuff. God bless you brother and keep up this good work.
Ooh, nice to see you try new things!
Thank you
Look, if I hear a bit of record-go-scritch-scritch sample I'm instantly in tbh.
Well played Johnno. 👍
Thank you
What was the weather like in your corner of southeast London when you produced this? I always enjoy that bit at the end of your vids ha
It’s raining now
1:00 so epic with the city scene!
😬
I don't know why but the begining of this gave me seriously Portal game vibes and that is awesome
Good work
Thank you
This soothed my ADD brain dude ! Haven’t been ADD for long, fell off my horse just over a year ago and had a terrible concussion and still suffering from Post-Concussive Disorder so my brains still healing and listening to this felt like it scratched an itch I couldn’t reach. Thanks for sharing your music bro!
Thank you I really appreciate it!
I've suspected that I have ADHD for almost 2 years now. I completely understand the feeling that you're describing.
For those who don't understand, I'll describe my experience the best I can.
It's almost like massaging your feet after standing on them all day, except it's your brain that's on fire and the musics is giving the sense of relief. Not all music does this. Orchestral, meditation, and electric music works the best. Some music with heavy panning, such as "4D music" works as well. Occasionally music that you have a strong positive association with, personally it's rock. Some music can even do the opposite, but that's because it's objectively obnoxious(Friday for example).
This takes me back a "couple'" of years to Jean Michel Jarre. I am going to have to dig through my LPs now
😬
I enjoyed it. My brain does not usually enjoy much in the way of electronic music, but your work made it spark in a good way.
Thank you for sharing it. Hope your corner of London isn't too beastly hot.
Awesome, thank you!
I find it to be a wonderful surprise.
I'll be crossing the U.S. by train next week and this would be fantastic traveling music for me.
Awesome!
Good stuff! The timing in the videography was very nicely done as well!
Thanks for sharing this on the PD channel.
I liked it a lot and the eclectic aspect in particular.
From an unusually hot Northern California coast day .
Thank you
Filthy acid bass on My Name Is John. Big love
This in the background of a disaster vid of any sort of Timelapse, it’s awesome!
Thank you!
Reminds me of Røyksopp, which is a fav group of mine. Keep creating bro!
That’s awesome thank you
John old boy, this has a delightful Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" feeling.. You have a great talent, I loved Sertraline Dreams. Have you heard OMD's song "Radio Moscow"?
Love this crossover post and your new music channel!
Yay, thank you!
*Me:* _"Time to fly..."_
Pops a Flintstones chewable vitamin (Dino, purple), and cranks up the tunes
*Me:* Ohohohoho yeeaahh....
Awesome new music John! Followed you on Spotify.
First time watcher, just watched your most recent November 11, 2023, this one shocked me because I wasn’t expecting music, but it was great!🕊🇨🇦🕊
(100% British blood, born in Canada😉)
Well it's no Phillip Glass but arpeggio worked just as hard on it!
This is the kind of terrible humour you get directly before I fall into bed asleep. The song is seriously good, though, keep it up.
Very nice tune, give me vibes of older arcade games in modern techno clothes. 🕹
Thank you
This music with the video give me vibes, but also a cold chill down my spine.
Like: _Yeah, nice video....but the next catastrophic accident/destruction/natural disasters are coming....._
As someone who has had the opportunity to restore and tinker with dozens of moogs and other incredible units… This sounds really great!
I’m not a synth expert per se …..but I have built about a dozen painstaking reproductions of well-known Vintage synths for clients and artists. so after the last 10 or so years of tinkering with them in my spare time (when I’m not doing guitar work)… I’ve grown an appreciation for them and the music they make.
They are great!
Thank you for sharing this here! I keep forgetting to check out your music channel. Can I ask what software you use for this?
Thank you! I use logic
Reminds me a bit of the portal soundtrack.
Superb! Thank you John! ✌🏻💛😎
Thank you
Very nice. keep up the good work.
Thank you
Really love what starts at about 2:45 🤌
PLAIN AND SIMPLE, I LIKE IT AND I AM 72 YEARS OLD!
Awesome thank you so much!
Wow this is really fun. I like it. Kind of gives me Dirt 4 soundtrack vibes. Keep it up. Would love some content on the process.
Thanks! Maybe one day!
pretty good. could use maybe a little more tech-bass drop moment? but then I'm not a music person. I did listen to it all way through and I didnt think about skipping ahead or dropping off early. :)
HARDCORE TO THE MEGA!
Awesome thank you!
I would be neat to see you making the music, just a few shots here and there.
And here I was waiting in the buildup for the nuclear accident :-) Really great composition, and would be a great two hour loop to play in the background while working.
awesome thank you!
very nice synth
Thank you
I love the Background Music.
Good music, though if I'm after music then I don't want the talking at the beginning, and I'd also like if it chained together with more music in a playlist or compilation so I can put it on and not change it for a while. Just personal preferences, stating because you said you're trying something new. Would listen to an album of this, but wouldn't want to watch it while trying to get through the day's assortment of new video essays and educational content.
Fair enough thanks for the feed back
This has a nice flow
Thank you
@@PlainlyDifficult You do nice work John. I appreciate your weather reports from the ends of your videos.
It’s a damp day here in Dover, PA, USA
vibes
Thank you
Thumping bass :)
Thank you
Plainly Musical?
Great tune!
Thanks
Good luck John, not my thing
No worries thank you
Nicely done!!! 💯👌
Thank you
@@PlainlyDifficult np John, I'm definitely a new subscriber to the new channel!
What . The . F RUclips. I'm subbed and have all notifications on , yet i haven't received a notification about your videos in atleats a month.. thought you quit or something, had to manually search for your channel.
That sucks! Thanks for manually searching
@@PlainlyDifficult no worries , really love the videos. It's just strange , might've happened to more people
Love it
Awesome thank you
Nice!
Thank you
Love the music
Love it, you're my favorite youtuber, I love seeing the things you produce!!
Thank you
Bueno..
Do more john!
This isn’t my cup of tea, plenty of other folks are into it though and that doesn’t bother me at all. I think it would be cool if you wanted to put all of your documentary videos in a big playlist separate from the music videos you post though.
Fair enough thanks for the feedback!
Are you putting the music up on Spotify for copyright reasons? I make my own music for my videos as well, and sometimes my ego gets the better of me and I wonder if someone will take the music I've made and pass it off as their own, at which point I get hit with the copyright strikes for my own stuff! Interesting to know why you've done it really :)
Not for copyright just somewhere to put it
It gud
I know it’s a little out of the norm but just a little promo for my second channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCTJKjPWNMe27wg5T7yk9OnQ
This is a damn fine idea John!!!!
I like this idea :)
Also the music is epic as always.
I subscribed, Matey. Peace! I love your channel. I’ll love the new one also, I’m sure. This message is from me, Joe, in a currently cloudy suburb of Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA. THANKS!
It's a solid vibe.
Thank you
Nice!
Had no idea you made music. Great job!
how? he talks about it almost ever yvideo.
Thank you
@@PlainlyDifficult it's well done sir I enjoyed it. Great driving music has that feel to me.
A bit unexpected but, chilling out here on a Saturday/Sunday, that was quite a buzz. Ok. I played it twice. No, three times.
Well done PD!
Awesome way to start my Memorial Day 2022!
Umm Labor day, you got em switched.
Labor Day, you mean.
@@MarianneKat Oh no! Drat that autocomplete! ;-)
@@Dr-Weird Er uhm, isdexlya. I'm coffeed up now thanks!
@@adriaancanter4573 it's ok I had to come up with a menemic device to remember too. I use "May has a M, Memorial day Has a M, Memorial day is in May. Works for me I used to switch them up all the time
Loved this track John! And the contrast between country and city was wonderful and well timed.
Thank you
you have no idea how many times i've taken Golden Teachers, (2.5g-3.5g) and stumble upon your videos on accident. This music is just pure coincidence but exactly what I love listening to while on shrooms or acid, and your plainly difficult videos when I'm sober hahaha.
Thank you
Those golden teachers difficult to grow or come across for sale?
@@displeasingcovers2089 well they’re federally illegal in the United States
@@displeasingcovers2089 They're illegal in a lot of places, you're gonna have to play the system which always has a chance for jailtime, just be smart sourcing them :)
@@displeasingcovers2089 they are available if you order from Europe. They sell as still growing and "3 days from harvest"
I didn't expect music on this channel, but I'm glad you shared it here, it's really good!
Thank you
Nice.
Has a Stranger Things vibe to it.
Yeah I heard that beat at the beginning, he has a good inspired "Hook"
😬
Sick. A "Plainly Complex" arrangement, nice work John!
Thank you
Dang‼️I dig it my friend.
Thank you
Hell yeah!
Got a 70s future vibe listening to this. Along with some Kraftwerk and early Human League. Nice! Keep up the good work.
That’s cool thanks for your kind words
I agree 100%. Maybe a little of Jan Hammer too.
I don't mind to listen to your music on Mondays :D Great idea to promote your tracks and an add-on for fans of both channels.
Thank you
This song puts into mind riding a motorbike through the city while it's lightly raining. As it turns out...that's exactly what I just had to do! I put this on loop and took the 15 minute ride to my shop with this playing in my ear. It absolutely set the mood perfectly. Thankfully I have waterproof riding gear or else I'd probably have a more somber song playing...ala "A Warm Place" by NIN. (By the way, play that song when you're driving in the rain along a country road and you'll see what I mean) or better yet...play this song! It perfectly fits!
Thank you
I love the Koyaanisqatsi inspiration, and the tune slaps. Well done
that's a great film!
I don't really have a reason to, but can I use your songs in videos/projects if I ever need to do any? non-profit content
Sure
Loud parts need a little compression, with a tad of limiter mixed in.
Keep having fun with it!
Thank you
DOPE AF MAN!!
Thank you
Well, John, I'm afraid you have another hit on your hands.......
That would be great!!
This is very reminiscent of Philip Glass/Francis Ford Coppola's Koyaanisqatsi series of films
ruclips.net/video/1jM2WA2WbDc/видео.html
This is just an intro to a second channel, right?
I'm not going to see this sort of thing filling my sub box, I hope.
Don't get me wrong, I haven't listened to the song yet, it may be absolute fire... but, I didn't sub to this channel for music.
No worries, just an occasional video
Was that the Stranger Things riff at the background?
It’s similar is style using a similar synth
Hey man, I'm really sorry this didn't do that well, but if it make you feel good, I enjoyed listening to your music
a nice and new mini koyaanisqatsi. well done sir
I love that film!
So it's like 80's electronic music with scenery. Not bad. :)
YES!! I want vaporwave next week
The first song is some San andrass type shit
*pleasantly nods head*
Do do dooo
No, just NO !
Awesome tune. Great clips. Fave was the flow of pedestrians at mega crossing!
Thank you
Yeah, that looked mental!
These dislikes are undeserved. As of my writing 9% dislike it. I can't believe it!
I thought it might have not gone down well
Ohhhh damn you mean I'm gonna be getting night driving music from you now!!!!!! Interest overloading!
Thank you
Wow.. just absolutely wow. 🥰
Thank you
Nice work John! Moog on!
Thank you
Nice
Thank you
So sick man ❤
Thank you
I approve
I approve your approval
I dig this
Awesome thank you
Nice! Sounds a bit like the soundtrack to "It Follows" merged with "Tron" (Daft Punk).
It follows is an amazing film!
@@PlainlyDifficult indeed! And the soundtrack really helps build the eerie vibe.
30s in... all I can say is, I'm up for some synth... 1min in, oh he found a beat to go with that.... 2mins, I'm not complaining, this is sitting well with those beers I had.... 3mins, I see what I he did with the video there....
Yeah I'm liking it, if this is what you wanna do, keep doing this.
What is that old saying? "Make cool shit, put it on the internet."
Reach out to Cleetus McFarland's channel. He's been using the same lame montage music for years. Great music!
@crimepaysbutbotanydoesnt good for a drone shot
Not that is a surprise, a welcome one for sure.
Amazing! Love finding new downtempo beats to jam out with while at my desk in the office. Great work, sir!
