    I'm about to do the passenger side, I think I'm just going to drop the bumper to get proper access. I'll also likely just replace both while I'm in there. These videos have been a HUGE help for me in the past few days, keep up the great work! Subbed for sure, but let's hope I don't need any more of your videos!

      Happy to help - thank you. You can try it first without removing the bumper, but you’ll likely need another set of hands via a helper to do the snipping/holding/crimping etc.

    It's much easier and plenty of room once you remove the filter box out the way it's pretty easy to do.

      I agree. Removing the filter box allows for a lot more room. The downside is that you have to take it out, then put it back. And ensure everything is put back to its original position. Thanks for the comment, it’s helpful and a great alternative.

    Is it possible to have blown a fuse? I just twisted the wires together the first time but the wire obviously aren’t color coded. Light bulb came on and burnt out. Got a new bulb and tried again and it’s not working now.

      Hi. A blown fuse is possible, but you’ll likely have more than one bulb out. I don’t have my files with me, so I can’t check, but wanted to reply to you quickly. Try squeezing the connector and see if the bulb lights up, if it does it is a 100% sign that the connector is faulty.

    Is it possable to put electrical tape on the whole wire 2 black wires or that wont help keep the connection?

    • @HandyVal
      @HandyVal  3 месяца назад +1

      @@alextaylor1882 It can work well too, but you need to make sure the wires are twisted together and the electrical tape is nicely wrapped around the wires. Doing so, will make it hold. It won’t hold as long as the method shown in the video, which is a more permanent method.

      @HandyVal I'll give it a shot. Hopefully it can stop it from going out at all.

    Can this work on the other side as well? It's harder to get to that light vs the one you did. For me personally it's harder for me to get to even turning the tire all the way to one side to get to it.

      The other side (passenger side) is a lot more trickier to do this. You’ll need to disconnect the coolant reservoir, not the hoses, just it’s connection to the car. It will afford you more space but will be tight. I never tried replacing the bulb connector on the passenger side. My video on how to replace the bulbs shows how this can be done to replace the bulbs, which can be helpful for connector replacement. Link here: ruclips.net/video/4HPftU3qR5c/видео.html

      @HandyVal I'll give it a try. The passenger side had just started doing this and I did take the light off and put it back on just for it to happen again. Does the video show what tools I'll need?

    • @HandyVal
      @HandyVal  6 месяцев назад +1

      My video on how to replace the bulbs shows how to loosen the coolant tank and shows the tools needed. Keep me updated.

      @HandyVal Thank you. I'll let you know when I get the tools. Something tells me I'm going to need them more now than before.

      What if the car is missing the black wire? Can I just connect it to any metal?

  • @dbingamon

    The wires themselves are fatigued on my car. I was hoping to find a better way to get to them.

      @@dbingamon I get it. It’s tight. To create a lot more space you’ll need to remove the air filter housing box.
