A cloud is a mass of water drops or ice crystals in the sky. Clouds come in all shapes and sizes. Let's learn more about them!
We've all seen those puffy white things floating in a nice blue sky
They hang out at different places up there, some low, some middle, some high
Cirrus clouds are the high ones, they look like the feathers of a bird
Cumulus clouds are like cotton balls, cumulus is a weird-sounding word
Stratus clouds are the low ones, they look like a blanket on your bed
You can go outside on different days and see 'em hanging all over your head
Nimbus clouds are the rain clouds, you see 'em whenever there's a storm
They normally come in gray or black, if they're green that's not the norm
You see, clouds affect the weather in different ways
They cool down the Earth by blocking the sun's rays
But they can also trap the Sun's heat
And warm up the atmosphere ("That's pretty neat!")

Some can weigh more than a million pounds
They get dense from collecting water vapor
And when they get full, rain showers come later!
