In the moment when the king says "you're a great warrior" and the prasant gets upset, it's because the word "wojem" sounds quite similar to "chujem", which means "prick" 😅 so the peasant thought they are called a prick

Cause water in the river is Shallow and you can't jump on head to shallow water and dragon had 3 heads so 3 times less chance of surviving

@18:44 Peasant said "Princes for a wife", it has 2 meanings in polish: 1 - taking princess as a wife, 2 - exchanging wife for a princess. I dont know if you undestood that during watching.
Hand (Ręka) sounds a bit like pension (Renta)
In Poland, we say that someone "skacze na główkę" - he "jumps on the head", which makes it up, that he jumps into the water ahead (typical in jumps, e.g. to the river or lake). And here the dragon was kicked up to the shallow water on his 3 heads :) and twisted the neck (or rather 3 necks). That's how he died
If u want to know the one that plays peasant finished the acting school as mime.

Ah, this one is a great old classic.
Back in high school I had a friend and we had a dynamic just like Marcin (myself) and Michał (my friend). As such, naturally we performed AMM's sketches for fun all the time to the amusement of our friends (of course, giving credits where credits were due). The King and the Peasant has always been our favourite so it still holds a special place in my heart!
You should see that crazy AMM guy in the music video of the Polish version of "Tribute" by Tenacious D
Rob - "To take someones hand" in polish it means (of course we are talking about the intended times) that the girl's parents consented to her marriage with someone who was asking for that "hand". Her "hand". And the river was shallow so dragon jumping into it broke hise necks ( he has three heads) :)

They switched that dynamic when they made a sketch about a gay dude who comes to get a tattoo. The stoic one acts crazy and the crazy one is calm in that piece.

I can for sure recommend Sami Swoi, one of best polish comedy ever,
But also things like Killer with Cezary Pazura… and more, that one is the most famous and up to this day Poles use some text from that movie.
He said that he killed the dragon by kicking it into the river and since the river is shallow the dragon hit its self so hard on the three heads that it died.

Kilku "inside jokes" tłumacz nie objaśnił, ale myślę, że nie da się zrobić idealnego tłumaczenia. Masz rację, że dawne Ani Mru Mru robiło skecze wykorzystując podobny schemat, ale to jest kabaret, który się uczy i trzyma poziom (no i polecam kabaret Hrabi - klasa sama w sobie; u nas kabaret umiera a rozwija się stand up). Polecam śledzić kabaret Ani mru mru i Hrabi oraz naszych komików stand up's.

I assume that the author of the translation wanted to maintain the phonetic similarity between words "fund" and "hand"... I appreciate!
However, I would like to point out that...
Referring to the Polish words "renta" and "ręka", they sound very similar phonetically, Especially when you simplify "ręka", in pronunciation, to "renka" which gives us "renTa" - "renKa"...
I am not an English philologist, but in my opinion "renta", in the translation of "fund", does not convey the true sense of the joke and "fund" doesn't equal "disability pension". The Polish "renta" in this sketch is more "disability pension", which in the peasant's understanding means "free" money from the state. In my opinion, in this form the joke is more precise and funnier.
Let me know Rob, if my annotation changes anything in this joke for you or not at all or maybe i am totally wrong...

Cześć. You obviously gave up working on your Polish "cz" sound. There's a reason why "Cz" in "Cześć" is at the beginning, and "ć" is at the end of the word.

This comedy sketch has several versions, this version is not the funniest. The oldest and premiere version is the best.
it's a great pity that cultural and verbal dependencies can't be translated into English one to one. you would have much more fun with this comedy. for example "hurts like mf and migraine vs nap....(implicity "napierdalac") and "napadowe bole glowy or riverside and ahithole vs "za"rzecze i "za"dupie or even pension and hand vs renta and reka
