Imagine waking up in the middle of the night feeling like you're laying on a bed of ice. Not a pleasant experience. So I didn't use it for a few months. But I left it plugged in. The resulting electrical fire that occurred caused $200,000 worth of damage to the second floor of my house. The thing burst into flames at 3am in the morning. Thank god for smoke detectors and insurance. The company tells you not to place this thing under the bed....but they don't tell you why. They know why... Now imagine how much attention I got from the company after I told them this story. I'm lucky to be alive.

Is the bed cool to the touch? I just purchased this and expected the sheets to be cold like they would be on a cold night. I live in Florida so a cold night for me is in the 60's. My assessment is that it doesn't necessarily cool the bed but it just doesn't allow it to warm up.

I might need to buy this. I have a Smart Duvet which uses a special pad that goes inside a duvet to disperse air through. We used it for a season or two but never really loved it.
Question. Where and how do you have your white noise machine mounted?

Hey Micah, I find the pad to do a better job cooling, simply because more surface area is constantly exposed to the pad (unlike a duvet, which can be not fully on you - space between the duvet and yourself, etc).
The white noise machine is just hidden behind the leg of that nightstand. Nothing fancy. :)

Have you had any issues using it with the adjustable bed? Thank you

No problem at all! Works like a champ.

This thing is a piece of garbage and the companies customer service is utter atrocious. Within my second year the pad hose started to leak profusely. When I contacted customer care I was told I would have to replace the entire pad. That costs $450. After paying over $600 for this piece of garbage less than 2 years ago I now have to pay over $450 to use it or it is now just a $600 paper weight less than 2 years after purchasing it. I have never paid so much for something so poorly made with such absolute horrible customer support in my life. This company is garbage.
