Ive worked on Web, Goss, Diddie, and sheetfed, Heidelberg, Komori, and smaller Hamada and AB Dick T Head letterhead... But my favorite was a Halm Super Jet. Most enjoyable job I had. I love those and the 3 inch. Just watching this video relaxed me and I felt the groove..👍😆
Back in my mid 20's I could run a Jet at about 40k per hour. Not so much these days. We have one that's modified to run 2.25 x 3.5, and I average about 25k per hour on it. I can turn my brain off, listen to podcasts and hum away. That's a nice, clean, good sounding Jet, and of course you have scrap blankets stuck all over the electrical box, LOL.
@@Jethu262 30 still good. I don’t even bother anymore 25k a hour is my new rate lol. I’ve been having pump problems I can’t put a full box on the hopper anymore
I hope you make a good wage because when a machine runs like that with a great operator all the boss can say is $chaching$ and that is only because of you.
Actually my boss didn’t give me a raise for 6 years. I actually ended up quitting this job cause he didn’t appreciate what I did and changed careers and now am a furniture repair technician. I worked for 15 years and was only making 25$ hour. Boss was a real a**hole guy who replaced me is a joke and a horrible pressmen. Now he knows what he’s missing.
I used to run one of these... i loved it, all about rhythm, 50k an hour for 12 hour shifts if you can get them laying right that is
chad bender wow 50k a hour ? Just you ? Highest I’ve gotten was 36 a hour but boss doesn’t like it running that fast in case of jam
I miss running a press/duplicator. I've never operated a Halm, but I ran a Multi 1650 with a T-51.
I used to run one of these by myself, too. Doubled up.
so did I many many moons ago

That’s cool. Yeah the jet is fun. I have the 6 inch super jet right next to this one. But only use it for bottom feed really
Great little machine used fix these many moons ago in Ireland
Looks like the interior of a company called Envelope Solutions.

I don’t get paid enough to run it at 40k lol. Wow that’s tiny. Gotta be a pain running those.
@@danielnemschick3988 yeah, me either. Highest I'll go these days is 30k, and that's usually only if it's a plain #10.

@@danielnemschick3988 put a peice of blanket at the bottom of the sucker ports.
@@Jethu262 huh never thought of that. Should I cover a little bit of the sucker holes or put it right at bottom of them ?
I just became the operator for one of those but ours is beat up.
Yeah they usually are. That one was only 8 years old. Good luck with it
Guard up wouldn't be aloud where I worked i also did 12 hr shifts nights not good
Only have the top guard up. Not sticking my hand in there. Ouch 12 hr shifts.
Hi i need some training to run one of this .. we are in the bronx ny
Everything has a price. I live in Delaware. I ran halm jet for 10 years
