*Almost* Rob. 0:47: The accelerometer is used for acceleration/gravitation in all the axes. The magnetometer is used for sensing orientation within Earth's magnetic field, not gravitation. The gyroscope is used to sense rotational speed in each of three directions -- often integrated to sense direction as well.
you know the best thing about IMUs is getting easy access to Euler angles and sensor fusion. I checked the GitHub but cannot find an example for machine learning core or sensor fusion. Unfortunately anyone can combine a 6dof (eg. mpu6050) and a magnetometer. The fusion part seems hardest, yet unsolved issue with this product - yet? Or can anyone point me to the example if I'm wrong? Thumbs up for the great work though
Don't retire just yet.. "RMS" --> There's a tricky one for you :p But, seriously - don't the nickel leadframe-layers in the decoupling-capacitors near the magnetometer mess with the magnetic orientation? I always strive to put no other components in a 10mm radius around magnetometers... Or at least use components that are non-magnetic - though those are pretty expen$ive.

amazing products , i have purchase one , but i dont know if you @SparkFun have a STM32 repposittorie to this device , salutes from Mexico!
That’s a great price too. I’ll pick one up
Hii bro,,,Have you used this?? How accurate the accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer datas are??
