@@grace__bowers yes I love her what more can I say every time I watch her growing like a daughter that I never had even though I have a daughter and I wanted to play guitar but we have some aspects but... She brings a tear to my I'm sure parents should be proud to as a listener and a fan God bless
This may not make a whole lotta sense but this sounds like it was recorded 50 years ago... ...and yesterday at the same time. Sure it sounds like blues but it seems derivative of nothing and totally from someone's mind today. GREAT tune and performance.
I am 58 and waiting that long to hear a band that good was so worth it. Pushing all the buttons, the left-handed Fender is a nice throwback. As many said: thank you.
I can honestly say that this is the best all original song to come out in the last year that I’ve heard. Super expressive guitar, awe inspiring vocals, drums that compliment the track perfectly, all in all a phenomenal song
I saw these girls in Austin opening for Gary Clark Jr. It was just beautiful, full of soul. The whole band just sounded amazing! And this song brought tears to my eyes, that's when I knew I needed to follow them. ❤
Just a few seconds into it, i was hookded (hookdaddied?) as could be--mind mesmerized madly. Haven't heard a song that touched my soul like this one in some time ago. Guitar so smooth like rainbow light riding airwaves. Intelligent lyrics that explore a significant, inevitable component of life--of nature. Damn!!! What an impressionable, razor-sharp, masterpiece . . . to me at least. This enamored, new fan will certainly stay tuned in. Thank you so much for sharing art from the heart!!! I just a little bitty bit excited about this song in case you couldn't tell 😉 P.S., When i die, find me on planet Vino, communing with my Mother Mary Juana--love, love, loves her holy soul!!!
As the great Jim Ladd would undoubtedly say, "Lord have mercy!" These incandescent, heavenly stars are shining brightly tonight! This Nuevo psychedelic blues rock hits the mark perfectly. This whole band works together to make something that more than the sum of their parts by an order of magnitude I'm ill equipped to calculate. Just absolutely wonderful. I have been refraining from saying this, but it's amazing, Grace!
Tasty arrangement! Esther has a great voice - I'd have used a little less reverb on her in the beginning of the track. The reverb gets taken out at 4:08 for the slow part - which is nice.
A little "old school" with a fresh sound. Y'all got a great sound with everyone in the pocket. Your Nana is smiling down from Venus holding her glass up to salute you I'm sure of that.🍷💞 Hope to catch you in Bristol!!!
Saw the band do this live in Napa at The Garden. It was *so* fabulous, especially Esther's performance, that I feared I would be underwhelmed by the studio version. I'm not... I love it. The band's performance is spectacular. It's alive and it's killer!~
Blues, Jazz, Rock and Soul - It all fits and works! This is special! Grace Bowers knows what she's doing and together with a wonderful band, She has created music magic! Best I have heard in a long time! Mike Dowler Producer Host ConversationsRadio
Grace's playing blows my mind, with her technique, timing, ear, feel and soul. Usually takes many more years to develop most of, let alone all of these traits. First time listening to an original of hers, now more impressed than ever. This is a Great Tune! Wish Grace all the best, will certainly be following your music and career.
Wow!!! This is fabulous. I’m a metalhead 3000 CDs but love everything from Beatles Elvis Doors Slipknot. Grace this is so awesome. Im hooked!! Guitar playing is so excellent. Unique So much feeling. Vocalist is so soulful. Gave me chills….God Bless. I’ll be buying the new cd!!! Rock on. Chicago Keith
I saw this song performed live last night in Santa Fe. It was the most incredible, moving song of the night. Wasn’t even the headliner. The story behind the song makes it even better. Shit was 🔥
Learning what's behind the song makes it all the more moving, but I think it would be anyway. Such a great, soulful performance by everybody, even if I admit I'm here for that guitar playing.
What a powerful song! Your Nana must be dancing and smiling in the stars right now. I love the sounds on this tune, it has an old school vibe to it. Grace your playing is amazing, I can’t wait to hear what you do next.
Killer tune! Killer tone, killer singer and killer band mates! Even got killer retro 60’s-70’s soulful feel! ❤️ great album artwork, so psychedelic ! Captures the spirit of a time long gone but fondly remembered! 🎉
So much soul in this tune...wouldnt be what it is without that raspy guitar either. Beautiful and really sounds like hendrix in a few places. Sorry, sounds like Bowers. ❤
So your first song, your first record is dying day blues.. brava !!! Breakaleg Miss. Great chops you got in said it and got out.. check out the late cowboy poet Chris Whitley and his resonator.
im so happy for yall and your upcoming success, to think you're only 17 too, that's gonna be the highlight of a documentary made about you and the band years from now. salud, keep rockin 🖤🥂
The more I listen it reminds me Grace playing Hank Garland and and the girl is singing Play Patsy Cline type voice? The more I listen 👂 I like Hank Garland
Love the singing, Esther kills it! Like the first single that was released, I think that the guitar solo doesn’t fit. It takes all of the momentum out of the song which makes it feel disjointed. It feels like the solo is there for the sake of having it rather than it serving the song.
Beside all the hipe, what I really love about Grace Bowers is that she builds a bridge from the past to the presence. A whole new generation is able to rediscover this kind of music through her brilliant playing and magnetizing personality. That‘s more than awesome! 🔥
I love everything about it. Powerful song. Love the production on this. SO good....Your grandmother certainly would be proud.... That's all. It'll be on heavy rotation for awhile :)
Nice Finish, Great album. I was looking for a little something more from Grace showing us her guitar 🎸 and I got it . Congratulations on ur album and much success 👍😎🍾🍾🍾

I feel like when the Blues Brothers went to James Brown's church.
That was sweet.
Can I buy Wine On Venus [Yellow LP] from Japan?
Amazing!! Great song!!! Still can’t get over the fact that this young girl has such an old soul blues passion!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
HI THERE GRACE DON'T FORGET TO LISTEN TO

Tasteful playing too.

It defenitely works. It remind me something very old but also more modern, like Prince. Guitar and voice really cool

I'd play this at my funeral
Wine is Fine! But, I still like, 1whisky, 1 bourbon and 1 beer!!
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer

This song has such wonderful and well-made 50-60s jazz esthetics, it’s a pleasure to enjoy it. Absolutely great job with this one!
I have the feeling I might be able to hear these musicians playing incredible blues-rock in 2054, as well.

Just doesn't get any better than this. Thank you Lord for Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge. Sonic perfection!!

So much Stink Face in that lead solo. StAnK in that guitar right there!
Great sound Grace! I'm seeing Bonamassa next month and I hope to see you sometime too. That Hammond organ is perfect, and your singer is superb.
This is one song that will make you sway, tap your feet and sit to enjoy a drink. Well done!!

Bittersweet and heartfelt.

Bruh there’s like a five second guitar break in this song lmao
Absolutely love it. Come to Birmingham, Al. We have several nice venues that would be perfect for you. 🤘🤘
Great stuff!
You are up there with the other great ladies of guitar, like Tedeschi, Orianthe etc.
Impressive. 🎶🌟👍
