- Family, friends and fellow officers gathered Thursday to remember one of New York's finest. NYPD Officer Adeed Fayaz was laid to rest during a funeral service at the Makki Mosque in Brooklyn.

I have to share this. 4 years ago as I was driving home from work in Brooklyn, I passed an intersection with a green light. A cop came running through a red light and smashed into my car. My car was totaled. The cop lied saying that I ran a red light. He ended up suing me for 300k and he got me into a bunch of other trouble. He then repeated a bunch of lies under oath at depositions. I filed complaints with the NYPD but I was told until I have proof that the cop lied there's no recourse. This story left me feeling there's no justice in this world and people can just get away with lying. The cop's name was Adeed Fayaz. Today was his funeral. He got killed by a criminal.

I am thinking for that honor, the officer must have died in the line of duty. But, it's my guess, and don't know for fact

Exactly. It’s sad that he lost his life for no reason just because that lunatic wanted to rob him. But this has nothing to do with the NYPD, and the job they’re doing, which is problematic at its best.
