Thank you very much for uploading. I was one of the Tattoo Choir members. We didn't get chance to watch the whole show because we had to stay at the backstage stand by. What a pity that you didn't record the finale. Whenever we sang "O Canada" was so powerful and touching always made me tears. We are so blessed to live in the free and beautiful country. ❤
I was there for a performance of the 2023 Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. Awesome performance. I would return to Halifax strictly to see this again!
I actually got to see them a couple days early, many of the bands and O2 programs got to see them early, and oh BOY it was crazy. We were extremely lucky.
@@khem3275 Because I was part of the show for 21 years, as a member of DND and as a civilian performer after I retired. I worked on the very first tattoo in 1979. My last one was the 2000 show. When it was over, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. The last show we saw from the stands was probably 8 years ago? You couldn't have found a bigger cheerleader for the RNSIT than I was. I cannot say how bad or good this year's show was because we didn't see it. I speak in general terms. What was it this year, 700 cast members? I remember when it was over 2000. Once DND pulled back, it started to decline. Now, you have firefighters competing in the *soldiers* race for God's sake. The RNSIT was the first tattoo to include civilian acts/performers. The show was a template for others tattoos from Virginia to Australia -- I helped with the Virginian show. But in the end, a tattoo is a military performance. Now, not so much. I take no pleasure in what I have said. I looked forward to the show every year. I made international friends. I met 3 royals. I loved the tattoo. I think it's a shame what's happened to it.

I we on the gun crew at the beginning, middle back right, pulled the pod on the gun
I was firing second gun
Why are the orchestra parts cut? What a pity!
They either got cut off for some reason or they happened after I left
Sorry
Man, what a pale shadow of its former self the tattoo has become.
I thought this was one of the best tattoos ever, John. As a long time RNSIT fan... Why do you say this?
