      Most definitely but we live for these moments, we just need to stay alert, stay safe at all times, it’s only bad that mabua lions are slowly and painfully getting accustomed to people….

    Such a great video! I love the footage you obtained, both the cub and the temporary tent visitor. I do hope you both have a way to protect yourselves. Music starting at about 2:18 is beautiful. Thanks for showing us Botswana.

      @@MovingPicturesAfrica I''m young and I have cancer. Although an African Safari is on my bucket list, I won't realistically get there. However, I can tag along with your adventures from my own bed. Your work is so well done.

    Such an amazing experience for sure but it's not good when wild animals get this curious. It could become a problem in this reserve.

    • @MovingPicturesAfrica
      @MovingPicturesAfrica  3 года назад +2

      You are right. People often leave water out for the lions there, which is really not a good idea, and is probably the cause of the problem.

    Nice adventure but why a plastic tent where you know lions are likely to visit?

    • @MovingPicturesAfrica
      @MovingPicturesAfrica  2 года назад +1

      I've always felt pretty safe in a large tent, whether it is canvas or synthetic. If a lion wants to get in to a canvas tent, it will manage. But after this trip I have decided that canvas is a good idea, just so animals don't rip the tent wall by mistake.

    Should have chased him off right away. He needs to fear humans otherwise he may kill or injure someone and then he will be killed by the rangers. No good for anyone. I don't understand why people can't see that.

      @@monnimatlala100 It will be a poor cat if it attacks someone and the park staff have to kill it.

      Bit of a silly discussion in my view. Look, this is THEIR territory, not ours. Lions are naturally curious cats and not as shy as leopards etc. So scaring them of is kind of pointless. The only thing you can do is seek shelter in the vehicle, and ALWAYS be prepared for such an encounter and a possible escape route.

    • @ExpeditionBotswana

      Chasing him away is actually a futile thing to do and something i would advice against. Encountering wildlife whilst overlanding is an inevitability, Lets follow the rules and stay safe..
