      I know! l went back to work after 5 weeks , that too after c-section, took care of my baby during night time as hubby goes to work. After 3 months of going to work with not much of sleep. I was so excited when my contract ended, I left the job and thankfully I've managed to save some emergency fund. Enjoying with my baby now :) Life is good, can't complain. Good luck moms!

My 9 month old baby has been standing up and all that for a couple of months now, and crying like nobody's business if i take something away or don't let her get my phone since she was 5, boy she is gonna be a piece of work, the only thing she doesn't do, is repeat stuff that i find amusing, she is like I'mma do them when and if i feel like it...🤷 LOVE her to pieces!!!

    American here! Had to go back to work when my baby was 5 months old. I'm thankful I was able to have that much time, but of course I'm wishing I could afford to stay home full time. My mom and my husband's mom were both able to, but times have changed and I married for love on top of that. XD At least I enjoy my job and get to do something that gives back to the community. I also get to let my baby develop special relationships with the grandparents while I'm at work, and I know they'll do a great job like they did with hubby and me. Trying to stay focused on the positives. Hang in there mommas and make the most of your time with your babies!!

    The ridiculously limited amount of time American mothers get to spend with their newborn babies is a disgrace. We have 0 weeks paid maternity/family leave. You can take up to 6 weeks off, but it is unpaid unless you have accrued some paid time off, which will only cover 3 weeks or less. I am so disgusted by my country for forcing mothers from their babies at such a pivotal time in their development. Biologically, mothers and babies should be virtually attached for the first year. I have been so fortunate to be able to spend my time with my 9 month old daughter. I can not imagine how it would have affected both of us if I'd had to return to work so soon. I really wish there was more of a push from the women in our country to change the current system.

    America needs to get it’s shit together. We need longer maternity leave and affordable childcare. If I see another article about the low birth rate in this country I’m gonna lose my mind.

    Is it just me or is the comments section full of mums bragging about their babies milestones? Why is achieving these milestones at a given month so important? Is there a study that says these things need to happen by x month? I mean severe delays need to be checked with a health care professional but I see a lot of mums on the comments here saying “9 months? Mine was crawling at 6 months!”. Why is it a competition and, importantly, any peer reviewed study anyone can share with me regarding long term benefits (when these babies are adults) between those that crawled early vs those that didn’t?
    I don’t know, maybe it’s a cultural thing but where I come from, mums are normally careful when they talk to other mums about things their babies are doing. Because no one wants to be that mum that brags. It’s not a nice label. Just a shame that the comment section spoils what’s otherwise a well intended video.
    Just my opinion anyway and each to their own. I respect others need to brag - it’s everyone’s right to write what they like. I just won’t read the comments section in future.

    • @saramations
      @saramations Год назад

      Your understanding of bragging is way off. No one is bragging, moms are just happy to talk to other moms and post comments about their developing babies because they are so happy... Are you saying moms you know DON'T discuss how their children are doing? 😅
      A normal amount of bragging is completely natural and perfectly healthy, it shouldn't be shamed.
      Sounds like you did a bit of over thinking on this.

      Pretty much everywhere around Europe. It varies between 10 to 24 months, depending on the country and it is almost everwhere a fully paid leave.
