Mr. Martin , I just started fresh water fishing about 2 years ago. Every thing I know I've learned from watching not only your videos, but your father's as well. Before fishing I lived a life of Kaos and pain, thank you for showing me a special way ,that has truly brought peace to my life. One of my favorite baits to use in October is Rapala BX Brat 06 Square Bill Crankbait. Like you spoke about that smaller profile gets it done. God bless

I love the finesse tactic. Ive enjoyed slowing down and really understanding the areas I fish, bottom wise lol. Feeing that bottom and paying close attention, patience, has caused me to greatly benefit and increase my catches 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Scott, thanks for help teaching me to fish this summer! Just picked up fishing this year and I started fishing lake St. Claire in Michigan and watching your channels have helped me learn techniques of different lures and when to fish them. This fall, I have been using the Z Man Finesse TRD green pumpkin rigged up on a Texas rig 3o EWG hook primarily however i have been experimenting with the Googan bandito bug used as a trailer for a chatterbait to try and learn something new. Any tips would help! Thanks again Scott for all you do with theses videos. They truly help!

Love the videos, really helps guide one in a decision of which lures to chose during the fall. My fave that I have been trying to gain confidence in is a swim jig. However my most successful choice has been a drop shot. Simple 1/8oz tungsten slip sinker with a Gamakatsu #2 work hook and a zoom trick worm. Happy fishing buddy

This tips are great! I’ve always had good luck on a wacky rig senko but I just recently moved down to Clewiston from Massachusetts and thanks to the locals, they’ve introduced me to baits like flukes, black and blue crawfish and swim jugs to help me fish these canals and Big O! Looks like I’ll be making another trip to the stores to stock up on some more shad imitation baits! Thanks again for a great video!

Hey scott, met you at the columbus fishing expo. I Listened to your chatterbait lessons that you gave up on stage and took those lessons to the water during all seasons. Just started bass fishing in July and, no pun intended, I'm hooked. Mostly municipal ponds here in SoCal and each one is different, so that's a fun challenge. Drop shot worked well early on. Nailed a topwater in the dark a month ago and lately the Ned rig has been working. Looking forward to trying out an underspin next week.
Thanks for the video. It's pretty cool to learn about the transitions and how it affects the temperament of the fish.

When the bass start focusing on baitfish/shad I love to powerfish reaction baits. Flukes are good in open water and around sparce cover. Prop frogs around the nasty stuff. Lipless Crankbaits in shallow feeding flats and deeper structure. If you find active feeding fish you can throw different lures and find out what works best for your waters. Be open minded and dont over think it fish will eat whatever imitates the forage the focused on....dont forget the fall jig bite!

I'm a fisherman in SC, fishing several lakes from piers, docks or shore. Most, if not all, lakes have a rocky bottom or structure to get hung up on. So I fish mostly weedless, and the bait that gives me the most options is the swimbait. Currently, what's working for me, are the flukes, preferably white or with some white in it. They catch both largemouth and smallies keeping it 2-3 feet of the bottom.

Hey Scott, my favorite in the fall is a white/ chartreuse chatter bait with a matching colored swimbait. I’ll typically throw it out and let it down fall and give it some twitches to get a reaction bite. But if that fails I’ll throw a football jig with a craw on it followed with the same process! Always fun.

My go to bait that I love to throw is a Zoom Fluke especially this time of the year as the water cools, most of the time throwing it without a weight, Texas rig, depending on your cover is. I reel all different ways depending on if it’s morning evening top water how I hook it so it goes deeper but it’s always been my go to and I’ve done very well with it good luck

Hi Mr. Martin, my local ponds are in the fall transition(or maybe i just can’t catch anything). My favorite lure in fall is a frog (booyah padcrasher), but just broke my last one off😓 Cranks also have been working. Thanks for the tips!

Great video. I love throwing a frog and the ol faithful Beatle spin, usually white.

My favorite technique for the month of October is a Ned rig, I love that it targets both smallies and largemouth, I have been using them for my highschool tournaments this month I have a few coming up so i could really use these lures. Tight lines 🎣

My favorite technique for October is a simple Ned Rig w/ a natural color rattling Ned working the rocks on a slow retrieve. Good luck everyone, and great content 🤙🏼

Hey Scott! In October, my go to is the whopper plopper or ‘walkin the dog’ spooks in the shallows during the morning before bright daylight!

I have to say that I absolutely love throwing a buzzbait for October, it's just a comfortable lure for me. That being said any topwater gets me that explosive bite. Semper Fi

Hey Scott, Texas panhandle fisher here. It’s hard to beat the fun of any topwater during the fall. Whopper plopper or revolver have produced some big bites for us recently. If topwater fails, swim baits are also hot. Thanks for great videos. Keep them coming.

I fish Cherokee every fall, got a tourney there the 17th.. My favorite no doubt is the micro's. 1/8 oz rattle traps, little crankbaits and drop shots also! Loved the legacy series Scott, you and your Dad are fishing royalty, time for the Martin's to get a Classic!

When the water temps drop and the Smallmouth go shallow and heavy on the feedbag, it's a great time to throw a squarebill crankbait!! I love fall cranking.
