this one and microphonies was my first records of them what i have listened, togesther in a row with some others like neubauten and lydia lunch in the beginning eightess in an age of 12 years.... since that i listen to them....
God damn. CV never cease to amaze me with their sound atmospheres. They really deconstruct society in a very abstract & stimulating manner unlike any other artist I can think of, just by vigorous sampling & distortion.
Especially Pt 2 shows you where bands like Anenzephalia, Grey Wolves and all the 90s industrial/power-electronics wave got its sound and inspiration from. Yet, Cabaret Voltaire seem to be rarely mentioned by hardcore so-called industrial fans, who like to come out with Throbbing Gristle all the time.
A couple of singles scraped into the arse-end of the UK top 100 during their Crackdown/Microphonies/Covenant period but that was as commercial as they got. Even at their most accessible their sound was just too harsh and abrasive for the mainstream.
@@solitarianihilista1454 All these electronic acts in the "undersurface" and they gain respect and some money, owe all these to the Code and Microphonies, even the Crackdown's, basslines.

Doctor Scott became very rich with his televangelism on TV and Shortwave . He bought the Hollywood Theater and a horse racing track
Removing the $10 to $30 categories and replacing them with $100 donations aught to help with that.
Great stuff. I still have the vinyl too
. Love the artwork aswell. What a band. Can't understand why music didn't evolute further from this point.
The seminal industrial music sound. True pioneers.
110% soulminer 1970 .Reg Plasma
Great band but Kraftwerk were the pioneers

loved this song back in the day because I watched Gene Scott for laughs
this is the sound........
That throbbing pulsating sound in the second half is very eerie....
Love it. From 1981 and on.

well, they're rather deeply rooted and totally in debt to whitehouse and ramleh than to tg.
too true
The music industry is so messed up. This duo should be in the same commerce level as Depeche in the electronic industry. At least in the 80's.
Totally right Antonios.Reg Plasma
I think Chris Watson was still in the band at this point, so trio. ;-)
@@Cires789 In 1983, when they played Greece, they were a duo. I remember C. Watson. Take care.

This is played backwards. Second track is first track, as I remember.
No, the sequencing is correct. On the original 12-inch, Part One (4'44") was on Side A, Part Two (3'55") was the second track on Side B.
