First, I would be reluctant to accept the job. If the customer seams reasonable, I would charge more and I only guarantee my choice of material. I'll use the mortar if they insist, but I won't guarantee it. All that said, I would provide the customer the same top quality service as I would any customer, as you did. Nice job! ⚒👍
In Colorado, with freeze/ thaw. I’d waterproof the slab with a liquid like Laticrete Hydroban, then use Megalite medium net mortar or even use Ditra on the slab. I’m sure your method is fine as well!
RYAN RYAN ROBERT FROM FLORIDA I’m back watching these great videos; What a craftsman you and all your guys do for this craft . Can I please come doing the summer to learn from you a legend yes you will be a legend . Yes before you retire I want to learn from the best.
That was an awsome job, great work. A lot of detail work and good craftsmanship. Hope you guys get paid good. Thanks for sharing. How long did you keep the wood under the facial to keep the stone up? Again, great job, it looks beautiful.
Should have replaced column! It's rotting anyway. Gonna be worse now that stone is elevated. Please come back after bad winter and show how bad it is. Thumbs down!
I so wish you were in West Michigan. This is exactly the porch look I want instead of wood rotting out later on.
Another beautiful job. 👏
Beautiful craftsmanship.

Our pleasure!just one day is good enough to remove it
Definitely try to use the water when cutting the stone....so not to dust the whole house out.

This isn't Mike Holmes if the homeowner doesn't want to pay for it. It stays.
I apologize I see a pic at the end where you built me column!
