Maliss player knew everything in hand game 1 besides the draw, saw trap in grave, didn't search, didn't nib. He wanted to lose.

Most comments on the video said something similar but its crazy how you all are failing to see that if he dropped nib at any point he gets otkd, before or after he knew the engraver in hand, as for not searching, you should realize you are in a losing position and play around your wincons and the wincon there was to see if you drew a maliss card and add chessy, and if the opponent made desirae to out trap then you have many bystials as a topdeck that let you actually turn a win. If he nibbed where you suggested (when he knew everything but the draw) , opponent goes tract lurrie, lurrie and token into sequence make desirae make link 3 desirae shuffle nib return sequence bo attack for 1800 into 4600 leaving maliss at 100 lp and ending any chance they have at winning the game. So while it is easy to say you wouldve played better it is sadly not the case

@@toast8251 but if he didn't use GWC to summon white rabbit before dropping Nib he could have summoned red ransom on sequence's summon, stopped 1800 damage from Agnumsday and take less from Desirae while getting field spell as the first push and possibly a second one, knowing that dealing with one Desirae is way easier than dealing with Caesar + Paradise

    • @artemisfowl3998

He also could have played around the bystial and nib by just going ransom + decoder for S:P to banish the ransom. No idea why he went for splash mage there. Shocks me that there are still Maliss players who don’t know that line yet.

In game 1, very confused why the Maliss player (MP) did not do the S:P line to build the board? This would have made the Druiswurm and Nibiru in the FS player's (FSP) hand very awkward to use. The S:P line would have gotten the rabbit into rotation. S:P banishes the Ransom from grave, and then Ransom summons back and banishes rabbit from deck. Rabbit summons back and sets tb-11 on summon. MP then uses the S:P to make Binder, and uses binder to banishes the Dormouse and some stuff from the FSP's grave. Then MP uses Binder to set GWC. MP activates underground to get Cat into rotation. This is probably the most optimal time for the FSP to use Nib since if they do not, Crypter gets summoned. So, for sake of this hypothetical argument, we will assume the FSP drops Nibs. When nib gets activated, the MP uses tb-11 to banish Binder and summon a second rabbit to mitigate the FSP player having multiple bystials in hand. Board gets wiped, and Binder triggers to summon back and draw a card. Then MP makes OG firewall and passes. Then during ep, the FSP should use Druiswurm to banish the ransom to mitigate the MP's crackback. FSP summons Ice, and it gets impermed. Im going to assume that the FSP makes moon again using the Druis and Nib. Druis outs the Firewall (this is fine, we have nib). FSP does the line they did to dump Paradise and get exciton on board, and MP then imperms the exciton. FSP uses Req to make necro, then uses Engraver hand effect to search Tract and Draw a card. FSP uses engraver effect to summon back. Right here MP should drop nib, and we will assume Nib gets dropped. Then now, the FSP uses tract, and MP chains GWC to summon Binder and get life back. Lurrie gets added, then discarded. Lurrie is CL1, Binder is CL2 targets are Rabbit, Paradise, and Lurrie. I do not have a lot of experience using FS cards, but I think it is in the best interest to use Paradise to out a body, and so Paradise gets chained. Desirae is sent and cards get banished. Next chain, Rabbit activates to set summon, and then set MTP. At this point the FSP has a nib token on the field, and can't do any other Fiendsmith plays since engraver has been used. So unless the FSP top decked exactly Sword, they can't do anything else, and FSP passes turn. MP draws a card, and if they need to search, they search the name they need (probably Dormouse). Then the MP climbs into Crypter and Accesscode, and wins the game.
If there were any flaws in my logic or analysis of game 1, please let me know

Bro wtf he threw so hard game 3 like does he not realize he cant set from grave? Easily could have just passed with gwc an white on field. You summon rabbit rabbit set mtp 07. Banish the white of mtp7 White effect summon to summon the draw is optional, effect banish red and whatever and suddenly you opp cant swing over nothen and both there engines are cut off. Maybe they are new to the deck. But he could have played that turn like 10 ways differently. Maybe he really wanted to droll over mtp 7 banish. But by doing that he ruined his whole crack back and engine.

  • @_Sasuke_99

I don't know about y'all, But I feel like with a good pilot, Bystial Maliss is easily the best deck of the format right now. Like, Even better than Ryzeal Fiendsmith and Mitsurugi
Lots of 1 card combos into nearly-unbreakable boards, And Bystials are Not only very good in a Fiendsmith format like this, But they're also EXTENDERS in this deck. 1 Dormouse + 1 Bystial = Full combo through Nibiru
Maliss has space for non-engine, Basically equivalent to the space that Tenpai has for non-engine (19 or 20, Something like that), And Ash is basically useless against every Maliss 1 card combo besides Rabbit into TB-11, And Bystials also are Not reliable against this deck one bit, Which everyone has to play cuz of Ryzeal Fiendsmith and Mitsurugi. So Ash is useless and so are Bystials, And even Veiler and Imperm are Not safe cuz they bluff set any backrow and now you can't afford to Veiler or Imperm the smaller names
The Maliss archetype is just badly designed by default. Konami forgot to add a proper chokepoint to the deck besides for only Nibiru, Which any 1 Bystial just makes you play through it, So you can MAIN DECK like +7 Bystials (Not even including Lubellion) and you would get rewarded for it, Instead of punished. And the way you can bluff set ANY backrow as if it were a Maliss trap so now your opponent cannot dare to Imperm or Veiler your smaller Maliss names
This archetype is just badly designed by default, And I suppose that's also why I think it's the best deck with a good pilot at least. I feel like the ONLY things that are holding this deck back is just the handtraps post side, And that's about it. Otherwise I see basically No real weakness for this deck. Handtraps just don't do shit against it

ryzeal was literally BUILT for mirror matches , ext into logic , being able to beat dead on the end board etc etc. if the format was JUST ryzeal mirrors the format would be 10x better imo. now instead we have a shifter deck thats insane at going 1st and has to handtrap the opponent out of the game or loses cause even with 3 engine cards it typically cant beat a dead, imo formats would be a lot better if the decks were well designed and there are 3 'best' decks currently 2 of the 3 best decks are just heavy going 1st decks which makes playing vs them an awful experience , konami goes from tenpai to this.... i dont get why they are TRYING to kill off their game it makes no sense to me

In my honest opinion, Ryzeal only feels like a Zoo format all over again. Literally most decks in the game lose to quick effect pop as many times as you want. You literally cant even play the game. Maliss I feel are great designs, however, people hate come from the the fact that they are a cyberse archetype, it plays shifter, and for some reason a growing part of the community are starting to hate waifu decks (whole separate conversation on that kinda being weird). Maliss has a gimmick that no other deck really does. It brakes the mold of the game and actually offers more strategies and technical play which is what you want in a card game. To each their own though
