Great video. Modify the clutch pedal by adding a non slip surface with 90 deg turn at the outside end to stop your foot from slipping off… don’t weld just clamp on with U bolts or similar… you can always remove the mod if you’re going to a classic show. Keep up the good work.
I bought a 1977 square axel long pto 135 with a c and g cab best yok ever getting her done up atm It came with a 3rd valve ment for a log splitter and we sell wood so that'll be one if it's main jobs 😀 can't wait for her to be done
I had a 35 three cylinder fitted on one of the first Massey reversible two furrow ploughs . It was fitted with a flow and return oil pipes to turn plough over and adjust valves for plough.
Olly, we expect you to have bad days and the occasional negative video as that is just a part of life. However don't let it consume you my friend. Life is hard and the world is in turmoil right now so we are all doing our best to stay positive and upbeat. Stay true to your self, and don't let it get you down. We just have to be grateful for what we have and faith that it is going to get better. Things will improve and thing will get back to normal as can be. Life is not what happens to us, it is how we react to it! Be Safe and God Bless !
Just be careful with the telehandlers, as they are blind on the right hand side when the arm is at a certain height. I have a TN55S New Holland set up with a forklift mast on the rear. Full 360 degree vision, unload / load by mirrors, so do not have to twist my neck off to see where the tynes are. Have lifted 3 tonne with it on a 600 mm centre. You are correct about the old tractors being great fun to drive. A 1962 series 35 Massey Ferguson, 3 cylinder Perkins diesel, also set up with a forklift mast on the rear. Had some great fun with that old girl. Am still happy to jump on that and do a day's work with that, but, do have to pick the work that is done, due to it only good for lifting 1.6 tonne safely. Any more than that, the old girl starts to do monos!!! Then have to remember how to use the steering brakes! Done a job in the foothills years ago, and two others were watching me. Their comment to me was that it was great to watch someone who knows what they are doing on a tractor forklift.
If you open the hydraulic oil cap on the 35 tractor you just stick the retern flow pipe in back end of the tractor then it flows like i t would on a two falf tractor 😉
Agriline supply a spool valve assembly that fits on top of the gearbox. Or you could fit a selector valve to the top of the gearbox and a separate spool valve block. Run a hose from the selector valve to the spool valve and a return hose from the spool valve return port to a tapping point in the gearbox casing ( see the 65 instruction book for the location of one). Then install hoses and quick release connectors on the service ports from the spool valve.
Well olly i have a mark2 65 and we resently got a diverter valve chest and it has a flow and return. We can use it to work a bale splitter and no issues. They can work a small wrapper bc of the flow and return.
I have just seen your video!I use a Massey Fergus on 165 on my small livery stable almost daily,it is a 1967 model bu t is looked after and always inside when not in use.
The red trackter is to you the evolving of farming and could be driven with pride “ thanks for the wheather updates nice to know what’s happening in the u k good vid
You should come over to Ireland for the national ploughing championships and every two year there is a ftmta show in Tipperary and both brilliant for people who are interested in farming and farmers to check out a video or to about the national ploughing championships
That 65 will definitely run the wrapper for you, just need to fit a return simple job lovey little tractor no better place to be on an nice day than an old classic
Thought so chaps, my ford 7810 has a return straight into the filler bypassing the return valve to improve circulation. Wasn’t sure of the set up on the classics but sounds like an option😁
well done for mentioning about phones and RF radiation. not enough people know about it. I almost always have my mobile data turned off and always take phone out of pocket if i am in one place
Engine oil pressure looks a bit low on gauge on the 65. Probably pay to give the old girl an oil and filter change with good quality oil. If it still reads low, get a local engineer to connect a pressure gauge to the block to make sure you have enough oil pressure.
Fit hydraulic diverter valve under seat and run to chest valve and then return the highest one under seat grub screw you'll have to open with Allen key
hi there, older tractor vintage have trip loaders for example the massey ferguson 35 has a 735 original loader so the hydraulic lift up and down but there isn't a hydraulic tip so if your moving hay? then you would want a hydraulic tip as then you can have bale spikes, however what livestock do you have? so if your making hay you would want something to be able to run drum mower, haybob, and baler i presume you do square bales? so then you would need about 30 hp at least to run those, so perhaps a old david brown for example a '885' however are you just needing a loader to move hay? as you could also get a rear bale spike, or rear forklift mast to move hay saving you to get a loader however if your are constaly needed to move other stuff then could be usefull however hay is only in the summer so you would only need it half the time and sometimes loader get in the way of vision and are heavy, escapically if there is no power steering. old masseys are good and parts are cheap , a 135 would be good however now days they are expensive, you would also want to run toppers and bale trailer
@@fredbaker3822 thank you for the reply. I was looking for an all rounder. I will want to do hay. I want to be able to dig, ie ponds, ditches and trenches. I want to be able to move pigs house around possibly. Not sure if I'm doing weaner or raise yet. I'm new to tractors and smallholding so doing research and asking lots of stupid questions.
@@reddiesteady9989 no worries mate if you need anything ask you can give me your email, however if you want to dig ditches a loader would be handy however a slew digger would be ideal however they are expensive so loader would do the trick
You could also get a spool valve to go on your 65 then you would have a return pipe ore you could plum it in so as the return pipe went straight back in to your back end to work your rapper
To solve you return on the hydrolic Under the seat on the left hand side there is a grub screw with a hex head on it it's about half inch in size plumb the return back to that. And your low oil pressure If you take of your oil filter housing And blow and air line in to each hole it will unblock any ports and return your oil pressure. Give them a go.
Don’t live far from Tanco…. They made tractor loaders for years before getting the wrappers into production….ffs Olly mind your back…. That’s a health n safety issue mate…😂2850 ? Drove a 2 wheel drive for version for years… tidy little tractor mud gaurds on the front and a JD Loader… Keep it up ….
Get a rescue dog but make sure your existing dog gets on well with it and you can return it if it doesn't work out. Lots of dogs being given away as people go back to work. Being in Norfolk I guess a Norfolk terrier might seem an idea but they are a bit small! Greyhounds may seem an odd choice but they have a great temperament and don't actually need much exercise. Don't make things too positive - tell it how it is, especially with this government's appalling handling of UK farming...
You can add a return valve Olly, my brother fitted one to his 35 and uses a log splitter on it.
That 65 would be well able to work your wrapper. 👍💪
You can put a return on the 65, anywhere on the top of the back axle like the filler plug. find a plug the same size and make a return.

You can turn it over manually with a handlebar anyways
Olly you should move your left over bale wrap into a shed as it can become unusable if it gets to wet 👍🏼

Classic tractor are great easy to get a round small place’s we have a grey Ferguson and it does the job moves big heavy bales

I was in the Norfolk broads yesterday and drove past your cows I think
Could you not pipe a return straight back into filler/axle reservoir?
yup we use the back end filler on internationals for return
Thought so chaps, my ford 7810 has a return straight into the filler bypassing the return valve to improve circulation. Wasn’t sure of the set up on the classics but sounds like an option😁
Sounds right - and would it have enough flow to match what the wrapper needs? Would do the tractor good to be worked like that too.
Exactly why I hated our old 185 when I was young…wet boots meant bruised shins 😬😡
This channel deserves much more subscribers

Olly, if you really believe that radiation is gonna come through your phone then you must be smoking some funky stuff
Mushroms 😅
Kian, I wouldn't be so certain

What tractors would you suggest for a small 15 arce farm with livestock and hay being the main. Front loader is a must

David brown 1390 or David brown case 1394

Just a quick question what happened to u old straw chopper u had on the 6930?😀
Keep up the good work Olly👍
The 165 is awesome you should try one out
Weather it’s true or not but I’ve always been told to make sure the link arm lever is down do they don’t come flying up when u start it
Free flow return would be easy to fit to the 65, we,v just taken the bullet of the return pipe and tied it on the filler cap many times
You should demo Deutz Fahr they are good tractors.
That's what i was thinking
They change dealers a lot.
Hi olly will you be attending Newark vintage show this year.
Is it possible that you have a lot of free play on your clutch pedal. Is it worn out?
My 65 has a return valve on it and it’s original but it has the grader blade on it so that’s possibly why mine has 2 valves
Isn't thw wrapper heavy for the 65? Is it 4 cylinder?
To solve you return on the hydrolic

You just need to plum a return directly in to the back end then you can use the wrapper
great video olly
Great video as always olly on the classics and modern machinery👌any chance you can do some on the cattle and sheep you have down the line 👍👍
Hey olly could you not breed clover to get some pups
You can put the raper on the mf 65 just put the return in true the oil filler cap on top of the gearbox
keep it real Olly!
Hi with yr positive farming what about putting a roll bar on yr tractors which is the law.
Cool vid
Good vid olly
Does she have power steering if she doesn’t it will need it for bumps
Try and get a 6130r as a demo
How old is the tractor

Your engine oil pressure seems very low Olly. Beware
i mean is my ihc 633 "old"?
PTO hydraulic pump and you'll be able to drive rapper and tractor ticking over,
I don’t think the 65 could hold a tanco rapper

Where's the 135
