The conflict is.. even if we have it in we to Condemn the demon... we sure as hell feel enobled defending and facilitating the family, friend, god, etc.. And that sort of delusion of righteousness is what is taking ALL of society down the pan (because BIG, small and EVERY size in-between is suffering the same illusion), particularly when the only solution we ever offer, is to refer to scripture, like that ain't simply a branch of the same tree of misery..

When did Notting Hill Carnival start?
As a social response to the riots, the first Notting Hill Carnival took place the following January in the form of an indoor, BBC televised event at St Pancras Town Hall. The founder of the Notting Hill Carnival was Claudia Jones, a Trinidadian journalist and activist, who worked closely with fellow Trinidadian and influential musician Edric Connor. Connor became a regular performer over the early years of the carnival and Jones is now known as the ‘Mother of Notting Hill Carnival’.

Joke thing people need to be educated on how Notting hill carnival started amd who brought the carnival, Jamaica cant just take all the credit, also the rest of the islands bring flavor to carnival, Jamaica added sounds systems , but anyways Notting hill carnival already lost its meaning and color.

I go to just watch the floats, but only the regular ones from the start.

Leeds Carnival was the first Carnival in Europe it celebrated 57 years this year. Therefore, it started before the Notting Hill Carnival, and as I mentioned, first, ever in Europe. It was created to bring diverse communities together when there was racism towards the black people in Leeds. And so it existed out of these issues to this day.
