For anyone seeing this video, the engine got replaced with the 1.0 TSI 110 that comes on the new Leon due to emissions. While the cluster is the same and the faceplace of the radio is the same as well, the infotainment got upgraded to the same software as the 2020 Leon. You can opt for a internet/services plan so you have access to music streaming, online radio, online maps and remote access to your car. I know all of those because I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, expecting delivery in January 😄

Some of the differences that I've noticed: - Ibizas up to 2020 came with the OS from the Leon 5F, 2021 comes with the OS from the 2020 Leon - Ibizas up to 2020 came with a CD player and the glove box and 2 memory cards in the glovebox, 2021 has none of that - Ibizas up to 2020 came with 2 USB As and 1 aux port, 2021 comes with 2 USB C ports - Ibizas up to 2020 came with memory card-based navigation, 2021 comes with live online traffic and built-in storage for the maps - Ibizas up to 2020 have to go to the dealer to be updated, 2021 comes with an app store and updates via OTA (I received one day 0) - 2021 comes with info, road assistant, and SOS buttons next to the interior light - 2021 comes with an internal 4G modem with optional data subscription (for wifi hotspot) - Ibizas up to 2020 needs a DataPlug and a Bluetooth connection to get car information on the mySEAT app, 2021 has a remote connection via mobile data with the SEAT Connect app - 2021 comes with online radio, Apple Music, and Tidal apps - Although the digital cluster features are pretty much the same, some of the graphics have been changed - Some of the radio faceplate buttons have been changed - while the faceplate has the same format and size but where they are placed and some of the icons have been tweaked Many of these internet/data-driven features depend on an active SEAT Connect service subscription and might differ from country to country.
@@veem2676 From what I could gather, all the MY2021 cars have the new system, and some mid MY2020 (some dealers call it MY2020.5) also came with it. If the cars that you've seen have had the old system they are probably old stock. There's nothing wrong with that and you can use that to your advantage when negotiating the price. The biggest changes with the current MY2021 have been the head unit and the engines (TDI has been discontinued, the 1.0 TSI 115 has been replaced with the 1.0 TSI 110 like the new Leon, the 1.5 TSI 150 option has been reintroduced but only with DSG). The equipment has been the same, in my country they just tweaked the trim packages so they were more competitive with the offerings from other brands.

I’ve got the FR in DSG (no sport) and I couldn’t have asked for a better first car for what I wanted, absolutely love it, just the cup holders are a tad small but that’s it

I bought the black edition my result after 1week its maybe not the fastest car(I don't mean to say that it's slow) but its make so much fun to drive first its super comfortable and it has in my opinion every thing you need the only thing thats not so nice for a sports edition is the exhaust in my opinion is it to quite but for real the car looks sooo cool and has for this price so many functions
I’m getting mine this coming Friday. Can’t wait. I have it in the Desire Red - which gives it an even cooler look. Loved driving the car, I simply wanted a car that would be fun to drive and I believe I’ve found it in the Seat Ibiza FR :)
@@mattharris8185 I can now officially confirm how nice it is to look back at the car! Love how the mirrors fold once you lock it! I was (pleasantly) surprised by how precise the steering was, I didn’t expect that. The car also has a nice acceleration. Mine is a manual with keyless entry, which took some getting used to, but I’m quickly coming round to it. My only criteria would probably be the shifting - sometimes it feels like it can get a little bit “stuck”, but perhaps it’s just me having to get used to driving a different car. Am jealous of you having the 6 gears though, mine only has 5. (Oh, well, at least I don’t have to deal with the wind down windows haha 😉) Overall, I absolutely love the car and will hopefully be driving it for many years to come :)
I’d be interested to know what you guys are getting mpg wise with every day driving probably more interested on longer journeys as I do 70 - 90 miles a day Thanks
The fact for almost 20 grand you don't get any parking sensors is absolute bs, will still probably get one though just for that interior😍. I noticed on the digital dashboard, "speed" was an option when you were scrolling through the list at 3:03. Does that put your speed - as a number - in the middle? Hopefully it does cos the other speed indicator looks pretty small in the corner...
Have a '19 plate FR Sport 115 ps too! Gutted that the black headlining came in on the '20 plate cars and onward as looka so much better than the cream I have in mine! ☹
I’m not sure what the standard Ibiza has but FR has the sport diamond cut alloys, ambient lighting, 3 engine types (eco, normal and sport), has slightly more BHP and the seats are extremely comfortable
No its an optional extra but then this removes the option of having a spare wheel as the subwoofer sits inside the wheel well but tbh the stock sound system is decent
I owned a 1998 GT Tdi and later on, a 2006 FR Tdi. Both stage 3, ugraded turbo, intercooler and injectors upgrade, race pipe, etc... and im sorry but in no way these new versions should hold the "FR" (Formula Racing) badge. Cool video tho! Thumbs up!

Oh you dont get spare wheels with new cars anymore, you get a fix a tyre thing that you put inside your tire and it patches any holes. A spare wheel would be better
@@MrWaheedulHaque I would recommend you not to use the tool once the tool is in the tire, it has to be changed as soon as possible and can no longer be repaired by a workshop so the tire has to be bought new for the replacement tire yes there are still replacement tires but this is only possible as an optional extra, for example with the beats sound system you have to buy the replacement wheel, otherwise there would not be the option with the system

Unfortunately not, I think you can get it added as an extra though! I think the only one with rear electric windows is the Ibiza XCellence. I’m not sure why they don’t have them in Fr Sport or the others 😞

I used to drive 40 miles each day, mainly motorway and was able to achieve 50-60mpg per day on average

It’s quicker in terms of acceleration because it Revs at a higher RPM in lower gears than in the normal mode. Really great car!

I know, it frustrates me as well to be honest. And yeah that speed selection gives you the speed in the middle of your dashboard.

It does yes, has only 2 colour settings. Ambient lighting is in the footwell and also on the inside of the doors
