@@la23bank I’m from New York and I’m a healthcare professional (registered nurse) and my rights are always being violated so that’s why I said there’s no HIPPA. I was at a clinic and a medical assistant announced my medical records. I didn’t have anything that wasn’t incurable. And it’s like they were bullying me a little bit. Also, I’ve worked with people that announced other people’s medical records. Like this one doctor loudly announced a patient’s HIV status and she was elderly and tearing.

I don't care what nobody says, these younger nurses only go to nursing school for the aesthetic. They have no empathy, no real passion for patient health, and are overall childish and unprofessional. Too many are becoming nurses because they think it's cute! 💯

Yeah but thankfully they burn out…or they become ADON or DON…but I’m still in the game and I handle those rude britches with ease. I talk to them as if they are my child because they behave quite childlike and clique ish many of them. Im just an LPN but I have 25 years active in this game so I’ve seen a lot since 1997 Lordy knows. Nursing is ghetto at this point, but I definitely mentor in my own way and try to show them some love, but whew sometimes it’s a feat! On a good note…it only takes one good nurse to bring the other nurses up to par. I try to lead by example by my work ethic so at least they respect me. Early to work, late to leave, helpful and smiling. I’m at a peaceful place in my life so I understand many of the younger nurses are dealing with stressors that I no longer have. My kids are grown, no man is bothering me unless it’s a good type of bother so I’m chilling. May God protect us all and give us the time we need to live, learn and grow….Amen?

I confronted a doctor + nurse who were right out in front of my room talking shit cause of a large seen they made in my room throwing socks at me because I was brought by aid car 8 hours ish earlier and they dumped me on the street at 6 am in the freezing cold with no shoes no pants and no shirt that’s why the doctor threw socks on the bed next to me cause she was getting very aggressive with the fact she didn’t care I was leaving no matter what. Other people who were coming in there shifts were very concerned by me outside for almost a hour shivering and hysterical. They also knew what went on cause the hospital was notorious for indignant care and treatment of patients the doctor and nurse just shut there mouths and kept there mouths shut didn’t say a word when I asked how to get out of the er cause if they are just going to sit outside my room and berate me as a human being I will just leave n go somewhere else for better care. Another nurse helped me find my way out of the back rooms of the er the look on her face looked like she felt very uncomfortable with what she witnessed too I could tell she cared about me as a person esp in that moment but couldn’t do much because of how shitty the er doctors and personnel are as a whole it’s cult mentality in some places

It's also known as evidence based practices. When you put a name to the story then that John doe or Jane doe no longer exist and you are then violating the federal law known as HIPPA. Learn what constitutes a HIPPA violation, because if that's the case then the news, researchers, nurse educators, platforms like Mayo

Fun story for people who dont respect the power of hippa: I was contracted to work with It company that had a really great salesteam on the same floor as I was and they got a new manager during my time who would tell the salespeople to say the IT MSP service was hippa compliant.
His favorite joke he was known for was someone asked him if "are we hippa compliant? And he would respond with "yeah man, hippos rock. We're compliant!"
Hes in prison now. I think he has 6 years left give or take to still be compliant to the hippos
Strangely enough it was actually a really solid company overall, just a really really bad apple who ended up impacting a lot of peoples lives with his "work"

I’m an LPN and I did nursing in high school. We weren’t even allowed to have our phones on the floor, let alone take pictures! One of the first things we learn is HIPPA! Nursing is too hard to lose your license over some lame ass beef! I will NEVER play with HIPPA or do some BS to lose my license like that. She could have easily asked to switch assignments if it bothered her that much. She got everything coming to her.
