I’m still trying to understand how people who are against immigration, xenophobic and racist like Farage that you seem to support want westerns to have a second passport and move wherever they want.🤔 So free migration for westerners and not for others? During the last general elections in France, French citizens living in Senegal and in many other African countries voted overwhelmingly for the anti immigration, xenophobic and racist party of Marine Le Pen. 🤦🏾

This is about AI and automation really. The guy was an AI and robotics engineer and he saw how United Healthcare and the like have automated claims with AIs that turn down as many claims as possible in order to maximize profits for shareholders.
Did your boy have a job? Nope. Complete failure. Could wipe himself with those degrees. And obviously couldn't lift weights intelligently - based on what he did to his back. I've got scoliosis, so that isn't an excuse. And he had plenty of reason to be jealous of his siblings - they are all highly successful and can hold a job.
As much as I usually agree with your takes, this recent story regarding the CEO is not about people wanting to get rid of successful people. It's about the ethics and morality of a system in the US that should be considered a basic human right- health care. As much as people pay into the healthcare system, they often get absolutely nothing when it comes time to receive the care they've been paying thousands for. Don't be another wealthy person trying to derail the conversation into "be careful guys you cant be rich" when the real problem is being rich off of the blood and lives of innocent people.
Brian literally got money by not providing a service. He approved a bot that rejected majority of claims on purpose and did shady practices. A man holding you at gun point at least would be more honest.
I am a millionaire and I agree. The health insurers here in the US swindle people and literally kill them by denying the medical care they need. If Andrew wants to spin this for his business, talk about how healthcare is better in many countries versus the US.
Agree with all of it except the "health care is a human right" theme. We have basic human rights that predate any form of organized health care. Health care is a privilege not a right. It's a reasonable expectation if you pay for the service.
When you destroy people's lives or livelihoods you should be afraid for your life. I don't think you have anything to worry about Andrew since you dedicate your life to helping people.
He's a nationless traitor looking for the places with the highest income gap outside of Africa. I may not like America very much anymore but that's because the rich are eating the country and planning to take an exit like this guy helps people do. You know, from a country with famously low taxes? And a huge deficit? Athough to be fair.... the people you need to be afraid of won't be leaving, they'll be ruling over the corpse.
John Steinbeck warned you all of this almost a hundred years ago. "In the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage."
I like you, Ben. Know that you have a fan in Uruguay. Things are going to get really bumpy. My only hope is the societal fracture doesn't occur along readily apparent differences (skin color, accent, etc) but history would suggest my worry is well founded.
Double the industry average. I'm not a proponent of this sort of solution but it is sadly going to take something like this to bring the issue into light.
Yes. UHC denial rate was much higher than the average of all other health insurance companies. Not agreeing with the solution the killer used. But maybe something good might come out of it. Just a couple of days ago one insurance company was going to place a time limit on how long a anesthesiologist could work during surgery. Can you imagine that. It makes no sense if there's a complication during surgery and the anesthesiologist will be needed for longer than their plan. That insurance company by the way did rescind their plans to do that for now.

What scares me more is the guy who stabbed and killed three people at random in New York City last month. I'm not a high profile individual, but I am a random guy walking down the street. People get pushed onto the subway tracks ahead of oncoming trains. I absolutely would not take a NYC subway now. Face it, New York City is not a safe place. There are no safe neighborhoods anymore.
They don’t detain crazy people in mental hospitals any more, they let almost any accused person no matter the crime, bail. They don’t prosecute the law with rigor or sentence with the safety of the public in mind. So til that changes it will just get worse .
Also an IG video of a homeless guy who walks into the road somewhere in Dallas and, when vehicles stopped, he threw a rock at their window. Which is probably lose either way: most of the time it's a Po trick, trying to ticket you for not stopping for a pedestrian if you simply and quite safely maneuver around.
Why would anyone delegate their own personal safety to the police anywhere? Personal safety is a personal issue. Cops write reports because they get there long after your life is threatened.
But it is apart of the economy to keep your citizens safe.In Thailand or Malaysia for instance they don't have to go on strike nor force the issue because there government is effective and take action instead of sitting around making policies.
EXACTLY! 💯 Women in Peru get raped BY all the police in the station when they report being raped by a man in the community. This happens in Cusco. When I was in Peru my dear friend living in Cusco told me this after attending a women's meeting about how to handle and cope with violence against women there and why NOT trusting the cops and NOT reporting it is much safer for women.
Exactly. When seconds matter, the police are minutes away. They file reports after the crime. It's not different in any other country. It's also not coincidental that the highest crime areas are the most restrictive to lawful citizens protecting themselves
It's not just a matter of being a financial success that made Thompson a target. It's the type of business he was in, one with the literal power of life and death over people, one which could very credibly be accused of causing or allowing people's deaths in order to turn a profit---an obscene profit in the view of many---that painted a bullseye on his back. After all, the shooter didn't target the CEO of Starbucks even though Starbucks charges way too much for a cup of coffee with fancy size designations and a smattering of extra flavors thrown in. The fiscal and the ethical answer in the US is Medicare For All. The health insurance business, if it exists at all, should only exist if it can do so as a business, that is, by providing goods and/or services that people are willing to pay for, rather than by diverting tens of billions of dollars a year from the public Treasury to their own coffers, in addition to charging ever-increasing premiums to customers. Of course, that would mean they'd have to offer some appreciable advantage over M4A. Since that would certainly be a pricey undertaking, it means they'd be catering to a more well-to-do clientele. Which is fine, since they then wouldn't be sentencing people of more modest means to disability or death by virtue of being unwilling to pay for this or that treatment or drug. In the meantime, it'd probably be wise for health insurance C-Suite types not to skimp on personal security measures. Sad but true.
It wasn’t jealousy. It was revenge. Many of us are comfortable with the outcome due to the hundreds of thousands of deaths this parasitic industry has left in its highly profitable wake. In a just world, those who prop up a system that harms the public should not be surprised when the public harms them in response.
This was not about jealousy. It was about pain and the denial of care. Which made the CEO and his company incredibly wealthy. Off the backs of people’s pain. I’m an attorney at a major company, repeatedly denied dental care that the healthcare’s tele-dentist determined that I needed. I ultimately paid out of pocket so that i could function. That is what people angry about, especially those who cannot afford to pay out of pocket. We pay our monthly share for coverage, and when we need treatment, it is denied. I was in pain for 2 years, and it was nothing compared to many of the stories I’ve heard. Maybe these CEOs wouldn’t be targets if they weren’t stealing from people and denying them needed care. Frankly, it concerns me that you don’t grasp this concept. You are right about the US being fundamentally corrupt, and this is only going to get worse. BTW, for a single woman like me, many companies you talk about are not an option. Perhaps something to consider.
So anyone who is not "honest and kind" should expect to be killed in your moral universe? Yea kind of proving his point that getting the heck out of this country is wise.
There are lessons to be learned in that recent act of violence. When one chooses work where their direct or indirect decisions can negatively impact people's lives, someone may hold that person personally responsible. Kind of elementary.
Its not "jealousy"!! Its desperation! As big as your head is, no one gives a 🤬 about your "business" boo; health insurance is a savage and evil business; they had it coming.
Question: Why is it a difficult concept for corporate “america” to grasp that business models that hurt people are not okay? Why is the excuse always: “it’s for duh shareholders bro!” Why do we have antitrust legislation on the books since 1914-15 clayton sherman - that’s not enforced to prevent monopolies and oligopolies forming in areas where inelastic or relatively inelastic demand exists? Every issue we have in this country comes down to 3 main problems: 1 - God has been replaced by money 2 - Government has replaced fathers and families 3 - Monopoly and Oligopoly power has not only led to corruption but also market FAILURE. It’s not a “failure of capitalism bro!!!” It’s a failure of the people that roll out of bed every single morning who do not ask themselves if what they do for a living is right or wrong. Amoral and immoral individuals as well as sociopaths and narcissists are rewarded the most within the current system - and NOBODY wishes to talk about it. Instead we have multinational corporations privatizing the profit and socializing the cost pretending that they’re not responsible for the wake of destruction left behind for future generations to deal with. Worse: Once they’ve extracted as much marginal productivity and profit out of each employee and customer- rather than innovate - they simply move to takeover more market share. What’s it like rolling out of bed every morning: “Just another day destroying the lives ves of others while telling myself I am just fulfilling my role” ?

That depends where you are. You are SO missing the point. I don't think it's so much that people hate rich people, it's how you make your money. Do YOU make your money by forcing people to pay you money for healthcare coverage , but denying them care? If you do, you suck. If you make it by making shoes, cupcakes, or offer some really cool service that people aren't FORCED to buy? Then no one cares. Whoever you are, you're not that important. The U.S. is not nearly as taxed as Europe is. You ARE right in people in the U.S. are not getting their money's worth for the taxes they pay. But few people know who you are, and don't care.

Rich or Not, No matter where you are in life, if you are enriching your own life as a direct result of making people suffer, you get what you get. Be a good person and you won't need to hire your own bodyguards.
I am also “concerned about my safety” by being forced into a perpetual decision dilemma of: Hurting others in order to survive (ie: working for corporate “america maaaaaaaaan”) Vs. having my business being shutdown due to corporate government collusion and losing everything ( another plan dem c). Those are the “choices” we are faced with… “I’m jus doin muh jawb bro” is an unacceptable thought process to me - if it hurts people.
The problem is you have to scale to a certain size before it makes it worth it to own your own business. Other than that the taxes are so punitive you might as well just work for someone else.
Privatized healthcare affects every American in a negative manner with increasing costs, narrow networks, and denied claims becoming more common. Obama did us no favors with the affordable care act, making it easier to buy health insurance but addressing none of the draconian practices within. Healthcare horror stories are far too common in America and sadly most end in tragedy. We have suffered greatly for their profits and that is why we have zero sympathy for Brian Thompson.
Also United healthcare has the highest denial rate at 32% this is not about jealousy, this is about a company quite literally destroying people and families for their own profit.
Everyone seems to be focusing on the symptoms of the problems. Debasing the currency, destroying the family unit, taking all the morals and values from society, creating a me, me, culture, pitting one group against another to shift the blame from where it belongs etc, etc. All leads to why the mindset of the citizens in this country are what they are. Until you address and cure the real problems all you are doing is playing a game of wack a mole and destroying your own life. Countries that still hold family values in the highest esteem are the best countries to live in. Those countries also still hold and exude all the other positive values as well

This would NOT occur in a high-trust, low-corruption society like Norway, Finland, Switzerland, or Singapore. Three of those countries have very high rates of private gun ownership. The problem is the electorate who tolerate government and private-sector corruption.
@@7x779 somewhat homogenous...for now. Singapore is the exception. While it seems authoritarian by American standards, you stand less of a chance of getting arrested there than America. What these countries have in common is that they aren_high trust_ societies. And, as Andrew has mentioned many times before, your overall tax burden is a little higher than America, but you get so much more. As for healthcare, from what I understand, many EU countries have private health care, but insurance is state subsidized. Only Canada seems to have truly socialist medicine outside of Communist or Islamic countries. Please correct me if I am wrong.
@@SARWSiddiqui correct, although many EU countries, and UK, have a dual-system of taxpayer-funded and private, or private run with restrictions, but state-subsidized insurance. What people need to realise is that the US healthcare system is NOT free market, because of the legalized corruption of lobbying.
In the middle of a cordial disagreement with a friend about crime and safety outside of the US I really had to go and look again at the statistics for Singapore, a country with a population that numbers in the same population league as a big American city like New York or LA to reassert that they do indeed have virtually no major crime and virtually not much petty crime either. People behave them selves. The laws are strict, strictly enforced and thoroughly enforced. So the people who are inclined to break laws don’t break them . The west is going to have to make some decisions about such matters before complete meltdown overwhelms them. No one in Singapore has any sympathy for law breakers…..
As a Canadian, my first-hand experience in Singapore was an overwhelming sense of safety. On day of arrival, I felt comfortable walking after dark and chatting with everyone I saw. I do not feel safe after dark on the streets of any other country. Unfortunately, in North America, the general population does not support the need for strong laws.
He doesn't come accross to me as someone who would be targetted intentionally (bar in the event of a severe financial meltdown or severe social unrest, but that would be more of an impulsive thing - and he wouldn't so much be single out in that case). I recommend to blend in and try to appear as regular as possible when going outside. Please, avoid ostentatious displays of wealth when transiting in public areas (luxury watches, trailored suits, luxury jewelery, luxury cars, obvious body guards, drivers that look like anything other than your average cab driver), acquire bullet-proof vehicles, acquire a concealed kevlar vest and carry a concealed firearm if the law permits it. This stems from the failure of the American healthcare system to provide medical treatment efficiently to those who need it - compounded by the fact that these corporations appear to profit from denying medical treatment and the overall declining economic situation of the popular classes. Unless concrete action is taken to fix the situation, it's highly likely these problems will become increasingly common. Especially if there is another financial meltdown in the future.
Closed mouths dont talk & what that means is when people are fed or taken care of they are less likely to revolt or get upset. Nobody is upset when times are good.
Americans are fat and have their iPhones and starbucks. No one ever started a revolution on full bellies. Other than the American revolution, ironically.
No we don't. The French Revolution was an infamous bloodbath of history. It was just mass murder without justice by mindless automatons. The possibility that those same human psychopathic conditions could exist here should be unacceptable to us all.
The safety aspect along with many other things are some of the reason my wife and I plan to live outside of the US when we retire. Safety being the most important, it's tiresome living in a country with people who have mental health issues being allowed to own dangerous weapons and no one willing to do anything about it.
"I've been murdered just as few times in Colombia." LOL😂 Colombia: I live in Ecuador and am practically related to a Colombiana. I went to visit her family in Pasto, just north across the border. It is much less safe there. You can see it and feel it.
A very important and timely message from Andrew. The USA is essentially a lawless free-for-all that is in free fall these days and one can never have enough protection whether they decide to stay or leave.
There may indeed be areas that are practically a free for all in The US, but the majority of the country is not, especially in areas where politicians don't disarm The Law-abiding People. If it gets to be a free for all coast to coast, north border to South Border; you will know. If you are in a Mad Max Zone; move out.
@@charlesclaridy8646 Those states that have the least gun control have the greatest number of gun deaths, higher maternal death rates, more dependence on welfare, the list goes on.
Andrew, when I first heard about this story, it immediately reminded me of your older videos where you warned this could happen. It gave me chills. The way people are reacting to this incident makes it clear things are spiraling downward - and fast.
The insurance companies try not to pay claims. One thing in the news recently was the insurance companies denying pain medication shortly after surgery, stating pain meds are unnecessary.
They also wanted to deny pain medication during surgery. You get 3 hrs that’s it. If your surgery is 8 hrs. Oh well! Anaesthesia is what I am referring to. These companies are evil.
Insurers aren't acting like responsible ethical businessmen. For example, an insurer will cover the cheapest parts to be installed in the body, in a surgery, preventing better quality parts and procedures from gaining traction and becoming affordable by its sheer volume production. If its about costs, they could cover part of the increase, but often don't. Thus, you need to research the parts about to be installed. Unfortunately, I can research parts and installation procedures for many models of airplane, with paid professionals to help me decide and plan, but not for my body, which only comes in one human model.
So this is the first time I was able to see the right side of the video showing Luigi, supposedly shooting the CEO. And can you all see that there is a person with a hat on to the right side of the screen? There was a witness when this happened. What is up with that? The tv news doesn't show that side of the camera. Does anyone else see this?!!
Among US tycoons and CEOs there will probably be a hiring binge for personal bodyguards. It will become a bit more like Yeltsin's Russia in the 1990s, where every big businessman had his own personal protection.
Except Surveillance and excessive comforts of politicians? To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction, noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, reformed, corrected, punished, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865)
So you don't drive on roads, or use airports and benefit from air traffic controllers? You don't want kids to get some decent nutrition when it's not their fault their parents aren't or can't provide? The list goes on of course.
You only need to be concerned for your safety if you think your business practices are immoral or if you would rather people die than make a bit more profit. 1:00

I don't think you'd get shot, man, you don't work for an insurance company, you're good. But yeah , the world is starting to look more and more like France looked like before the French revolution, and you know what happened in the French revolution. You'll see more of this happening, unfortunately. But also, don't expect people to just be ok with their wages only going up 18% while the CEOs of the companies they work for going up by 1400%. You will get angry people and I think they have their reasons to be angry.
Andrew, I’m a big fan of yours. Never knew you had a gun pulled out on you in Nicaragua. Glad you escaped. I live in NYC. I have an office in Midtown Manhattan I go to regularly and another one in Jackson Heights Queens I rarely go to. Jackson Heights is having serious crime problems now. The police don’t seem to care. One thing Thompson's murder confirmed is that the rich get better police protection. Thompson didn’t even live in NYC, so you can’t say he paid for the NYPD directly, although UnitedHealthcare does give large political contributions to both political parties, and in large amounts, and I’m sure everyone controlling the money knows it. A big deal was made of Brian Thompson. Every life matters, including Thompson’s, but when Thompson gets killed no expense is spared to find him. When another indigent man gets killed in a less wealthy area, not so much. Again, every life matters but the discrepancy in who gets the better protection is surreal and very noticeable.
Andrew I think that murder was a hit job from some higher ups, preventing him from testifying to congress later that day. And yes the comments from people were absolutely concerning. The murder wasn’t jealousy though. IMO
If you're in America, it isn't as safe as you believe, no matter who you are. Just look at all the Internet ads for guns & gun accessories, security systems, and doomsday preppers. Some folks are making quite a hustle out of selling you on fear.

Is the head dead yet? You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet Get the widow on the set! We need dirty laundry
Private health insurance companies have teams of people who get paid a bonus based on the amount of denials they can process. Any discrepancy in the claim can get you denied and someone receives a bonus for issuing the denial. Universal healthcare is wonderful…if you never have to use it. For example look at emergency room wait times or how long it takes to get an Xray, etc. Nobody deserves to die. I do understand why people are feeling the way they are right now. What you never mention in your videos is….correct me if I am wrong, but no other nation allows everyday normal citizens to bear arms. The US has the second amendment to protect the first amendment. Many people in the US value the second amendment.

Wrong @@JelBee-ks5mm. Nobody wants to be an insurance exec. They're cheering bc there's a kind of justice at play, UHC f'd around and found out.
I agree, I knew rich people would distort this to make themselves victims when its avoiding a very real issue.
Truth
Agree with all of it except the "health care is a human right" theme. We have basic human rights that predate any form of organized health care. Health care is a privilege not a right. It's a reasonable expectation if you pay for the service.
When you destroy people's lives or livelihoods you should be afraid for your life. I don't think you have anything to worry about Andrew since you dedicate your life to helping people.
He is devoted to helping the destroyers leave after they have pillaged the nation though.

Things are going to get really bumpy. My only hope is the societal fracture doesn't occur along readily apparent differences (skin color, accent, etc) but history would suggest my worry is well founded.
It wasn't the insider trading. It was the automatic high rate of denials.
@@lentilpaff7864 Thompson was being investigated for insider trading and monopolistic practices by the Justice Department. He was also being separately investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Investigations are material events that could affect a company’s value. Allegedly Thompson along with a number of executives sold millions dollars worth of their stock once they were notified to United Healthcare was being investigated .
This is spot on.
I think you’ve missed the reason for the shooting
An oppty to sell his soap.
1 - God has been replaced by money
2 - Government has replaced fathers and families
3 - Monopoly and Oligopoly power has not only led to corruption but also market FAILURE.

Nah, it's not this man who makes me feel unsafe. That would be corrupted ceos.

"I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure."
-Mark Twain
Andrew, no one hates you. We love you. You don't have to be afraid.
We live in a very sick society. I admire your honesty and openess.
Andrew I think that murder was a hit job from some higher ups, preventing him from testifying to congress later that day. And yes the comments from people were absolutely concerning. The murder wasn’t jealousy though. IMO
Switzerland also denies health cares and reimbursement to me and people I know, same as the US but with a 650 USD/month compulsory insurance.
If you're in America, it isn't as safe as you believe, no matter who you are. Just look at all the Internet ads for guns & gun accessories, security systems, and doomsday preppers. Some folks are making quite a hustle out of selling you on fear.
Ever watched the news? Fear sells, it always has. Eagles even wrote a song about it, couple verses:
We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blond
Who comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye
It's interesting when people die
Give us dirty laundry
Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry
I'm wondering how many internet ads will pop up for certain 3D printers.
Many people in the US value the second amendment.
..."but because the corruption is very very legal" Dah!
this is a new era, the wealth gap is increasing, the political divide widens - unfortunately we may see more of what happened in NYC
This is kinda my '3rd rule' - aka "never let em see ya coming". Keeping a low profile is always kinda a good thing. Living somewhere a bit less known/busy/populated is kinda a good thing. I have broken the rule a bit (I like a nice watch) but generally speaking, I aim to look poor.
Anyone looking to get my jewelry is going to be severely disappointed, I have a couple of plastic cufflinks and a tie clip I wear on special occasions.
I don’t have to struggle to look poor. 😂
So this only happens in the USA?
You are absolutely correct in your reasoning. My father, for example, owned a small-scale local goods distribution business in the city and always carried (licensed) because he knew, “ya *never* know!”
Lol sir. It wasn’t about jealousy and envy of money. This is about Justice and injustice. Sitting in ur fancy chair clearly you and your loved ones never had issues with insurance denial
Lol the supposed killer is from a rich family as an update sir. So ur theory is just wrong
@@Loyatyispriceless Probably not rich enough. He was 26 and so can no longer be on his parent's healthcare. He was probably looking at a LOT of money in medical bills if his insurance was cancelled due to aging out.
