Loved the mural and the simplicity of the church. Most Catholic churches are more ornate. I can picture an intimate congregation of neighbors where everyone knows each other. Thank you for taking me on another fun explore away from the winter chill of NY. Today was balmy though in the 50s. I always wonder why these places were abandoned and that is what captivates me. Enjoy the day you do a mix of explores-keeps it interesting.
Dee Maynard It reminded me of the local church my family went to when I was a kid. It was also an opportunity to socialise and catch up on the latest gossip for most who attended.
David Simpson Yes the church was the center of the community and local news. Potluck picnics and Sunday was truly a day of rest-no stores or bars open for business.
I felt a wave of sadness when I saw the names of people who were probably donors on the pew-ends in the Church. For a moment I wondered if anybody remembers them, or if all that remains is a plaque in an unused building
Love the blue sky and desert land. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing the blue sky and the hot weather where the cold and the white stays forever sort of. Feels like for ever when its almost 6 months of winter.
So cool to see all of this. My mom grew up in Amboy and my parents got married in this church in the 60’s.. it was gorgeous in the photos I’ve seen before it was abandoned.. my dad made friends with the owner of the church and got to go inside. It’s sad to see it so run down. There were plans to restore it but it seems to have fallen through 😔

Although it's a little bit on the dusty side I wouldn't mind settling down there, the adorable little church, complete with a painting and the wooden parts sporting this perfect green color 😍 Thank U guys for your content, just love your channel!
*Route 66iness!* That church! Looks like they stole park benches for the pews! Weird and kind of sad to think how long it's been abandoned. The church garden probably had a meditation area and looks like a statue or crucifix. It'd be interesting to go through the public records and see the history of the properties.
Because it means there are just a bit fewer people having their minds stupefied on ancient fantasy nonsense. Someone should convert the building into something that's actually useful for people.
The last time I went thru Amboy it aboard a Santa Fe Railroad Freight Train. About 1996 and the train crew's would toss out plastic water bottles with tin foil caps and the black birds had learned out to peck holes in the caps to drink the water. Anyway those birds had learned how to follow along the trains to get water. I dispatched that subdivision between Needles and Barstow for several years before I retired. Thanks for sharing your videos it was fun to see some of those old places I got to see years ago.
So glad you went back to these buildings as I wanted to see inside them. The mural on the church wall was amazing and the pews looked like park benches lol. I am really enjoying these videos.
Keep doing mine tunnels, it’s good to have variety, plus you guys seem to know what you’re doing down there as far as safety goes. I’ve seen explorers find all sorts of neat stuff like miner art and explosive remnants and even a gun so it’s definitely something you should continue.
I always look forward to your videos! Wish you would slow down a bit for more detail but I guess your pressed for time? It's ok, I still watch! ❤️❤️you guys!
that place could be built for the homeless, since we are seeing more and more everyday of homeless people. and people without homes. Good idea for these homes. Beautiful well-made homes! I am liking the videos! Try to make some more missing cases' videos. I like those as well as the exploring abandoned places.
Best explorer..not just showing his handsome face but filming the places!👍🏽 and dont make me dizzy while u filming 😅 i liked this kind of vdeo recently, exploring abandoned places or houses. makesure u wear gloves and mask while exploring any abandoned places..Let me subscribes ur channel 👍🏽
Really nice video. Interesting how minimal the vandalism and decay in the church. I've never seen a church that used old park benches for pews. Very cool stuff, man. Keep it up and keep it real!
I love the videos you guys do I just make a suggestion I find it easier with a very bright flashlight if you point it up to the ceiling it illuminates the whole room equally good luck on your expeditions
My friends and I spent a lot of time in and around Amboy back in the late '60's while hunting jack rabbits. There wasn't a whole lot there back then either. There were some mines out that way also, but I can no longer remember exactly where.
I'm thinking what you call the "preachers house" is actually like Sunday school rooms and nursery space. The building out back with piano is probably a fellowship hall.
Amboy is on the far side of MCB Twentynine-Palms, fun fact. That big mountain behind the crater is "Lead Mountain", and from there you can see the Amboy stoplight, the inspiration for the Cars town.
don't worry about what people like and don't like... Its your channel, do what you want with it. Stay true to your game buddy. Keep up the great work.
It’s amazing how quickly these places are abandoned! The church in the town where I live was built in 1230 and is still in use today 🙂
My favorite exploring team of all time. You keep it real, your down to earth and the places you go are amazing!
Binge watching your videos. I can’t stop. 🤷🏻♀️
