This is such a handy tutorial to have and Jess is a good teacher. I know that she like to use bulk zippers and cut to length. However, I prefer to use a zipper that matches the fabric used for the pouch. By the same token, I like to have the fabric tabs on the ends of the zipper to match. But that's a peresonal choice.
I just want to say, this video gives me so much inspiration! Even if someone doesn’t have an embroidery machine they could TOTALLY do an appliqué instead and it would be adorable! Thanks for the great video. 😁
I’m an old sewer, but a new subscriber; first time watching one of your tutorials. You are a great teacher!! I watch a lot of sewing/embroidery videos, and you are right at the top.
I love watching you demonstrate you are awesome at what you do and this tutorial is wonderful my granddaughter and I are going to try to make one together she said it'll be her Christmas gift you have a awesome blessed day
Fantastic video, love the bag, love love the music, and adore the bag, so cute, never heard of a cookie bag in the uk, maybe a great treat for neighbours to cheer them up in lockdown here in the uk, thanks for a great video xx
Jess I love this pattern and video. I was showing my co-workers the two I have made so far. I told them about adding the crossbody strap, cause you know you have to keep your cookie with you at all times! Lol! One of my co-workers said she would need a shorter strap, so she could wear the bag in front to keep the cookies closer to her mouth, and so the crumbs would fall back in the bag!!!! LOL! We have been known to eat our cookies Cookie Monster style!!! NOM NOM NOM!!!!! Thank you for sharing this great idea! I will be making these for our neighborhood’s contactless cookie exchange. So far 10 people have signed up!
This is a delightfully instructive and entertaining video . I don't have a fancy embroidery machine. But I can adapt and create with what I have, using the basic measurements and sewing instructions you provided. So all in all an excellent tutorial for beginner to expert. And like Cookie Monster says....NOM NOM NOM
Great tutorial Jess. I have a Ricoma and love looking at new ways to use it. Your tutorials are very thorough and I like how you are a perfectionist with your work. Well done😀
I don’t have that embroidery machine, but I do have magnetic hoops for the machine I have. The thing I love is avoiding having to “float” fabric during embroidery by placing un-hoopable fabrics between the magnets.
Hey I have a question could you do a video be of your top favorite bags and or pouches for Christmas gifts that you would gift to people I’m looking for some ideas for gifts for people in my life? And thank you
Hi Jess, I am wandering if after the design has done the satin stitch around the glitterflex do all those needle entry points make it look as those it perforates the glitterflex and separates the glitterflex from the stitches? I understand the ironing will bond the glitterflex to the material anyway but was just curious.
You know one of these days I'm going to travel sewing shops of the world so I know exactly what everyone has access too. I wish we all had the same resources!
Oh my goodness this is so adorable! what a great Christmas gift idea. BTW...what was the name of the artist and song title that you played during the embroidery process? Loved that song!
I subscribe your channel a month ago and learn a lot from this.i want to send you pics of those things which I learned from you.tell me where I send. Love that you incorporated embroidery into your sewing, I totally love this and wish I had seen this before Christmas

Thank you Jennifer! That means so much to hear!

That's such an incredible compliment! Thank you Marilyn!
LOVE this idea for cookies! So very clever and such a cute way to use my Santa designs. Now I gotta make some cookie bags. Thank you so very much!

Awwwwwwwww please let me know how that goes! I love that you'll be working on it with your grand daughter!

That's a beautiful idea Angela! This would be an especially nice neighbor gift.
Loving this bag and shape!! Note food safe PUL the slick side should be right side when using with food.
Love it, i will make it as a school lunch bag
I love this machine. Nice designs.

Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it! Let me know how the bag turns out!
Love this bag
Great tutorial Jess. I have a Ricoma and love looking at new ways to use it. Your tutorials are very thorough and I like how you are a perfectionist with your work. Well done😀
Thank you so much Beverly!
I just love your videos.
Thanks Cynthia!

You know what Penny? I was wondering about that. I'm going to try another one without floating. Thanks for the tip!
Love your videos! I'm definitely making one of these. You are a GREAT teacher.
Thank you so much!
Adorable 🎅 😘
I looove this! Hahaha best cookie bag ever! No one would be the wiser! 😈
Right?! I need ALL the cookies this year!
Love your stuff so much
Thanks Alexis!
Hi I’m super new to sewing but I just love Watching your videos. Can you do a video on stuff you need as a beginner sewer?
Thanks for watching Heather! That's a great idea.
I just LOVE your videos!!! You're so AWESOME! 😘
Big kiss from Azores Islands, portugal

Great idea!!
Thanks I just wanted some quick and easy bag / pouches ideas for gifts thanks
If you don't have an embroidery machine, can you just add a heat pressed vinyl design to the exterior of the bag?
The perfect sizes to throw your kids or your snacks ends for travel
YES! All the cookies and snacks on road trips!
I was wondering if I could make this bag with my brothers SE400 sewing and embroidery machine
Love the video! I would like to hear the Ricoma do some embroidery at real time vs accelerated.
Sorry, I should have waited and all would have been answered. Love this bag.
I am bummed. I love your tutorials, but I do not have an embroidery machine. The work you do is amazing and would love to create the same.
Thank Lidia! You know what would be another fun idea? If you had some fabric markers, you could design something on a fabric panel and use that!
Sew or glue on buttons. lace. rick rack trimming. tassels . Skies the limit!
I LOVE this video! But let’s be honest - I love ALL your videos! If I use cotton on the outside and WPC on the inside is it washable?
Yup! I mean, I wash it in the washing machine... so I'm saying it's washable.
Love the bag! Hanukkah! 🕎
Happy Hanukkah Victoria! I hope you have a great rest of the year!

Only three weeks to prepare!
Sweet bag. You always rock the videos! Off topic: noticed you weren’t wearing the glue on nails? Are you still enjoying them. I am trying them out.
Thank you! I still love my nails, just used the wrong type of glue so I have to let them grow a bit. Don't use store bought extra strength glue! Ouch!
@@OklaRoots thanks for the tip. Cookie bag in progress. What a great 2020 comfort gift. Cuteness AND cookies!!
Would love this pattern without the seasonal design!

I understand the ironing will bond the glitterflex to the material anyway but was just curious.
I haven't seen that occur yet, but I will definitely report back if it does!
That’s great to know. Thanks.
Oh my god i’m in love
I’m sad we can’t get any off the fabric , hardware or zippers in Denmark 😔😭
You know one of these days I'm going to travel sewing shops of the world so I know exactly what everyone has access too. I wish we all had the same resources!
I would love if you came to Denmark especially if you came to Aarhus not Copenhagen as I so want to meet you you are a great inspiration to me 👏🏻👍♥️
When you used your single needle you pressed the glitter but not on the 10 needle. Do you not have to press the glitter down?
Oh my goodness this is so adorable! what a great Christmas gift idea. BTW...what was the name of the artist and song title that you played during the embroidery process? Loved that song!
Thank you! It's called Magic Day by Loving Caliber
What size needle do you use on the cork and embroidery design
Pls put me on wait list for snack bags templates
Can I use that PUL as a lining for the inside of the bag?
Yea PUL would be great!
Hi! quick question, how come the cork does not go under the hoop? instead goes on top. I fast forward so maybe I missed something.
The hoop will permanently crease and/or stretch the fabric when its cork or vinyl
@@sewwawa3202 only when using regular hoops, not an issue when using magnetic hoops.
Jess please tell me where I can get bag tags 🥰
