    1. 1001 = 1101

      Me from IIIT Sri City, Chittoor.
      It sucks to tell relatives and friends that I am from a tier 3 college.
      They don't even know this colleges name and often think I am from IIIT Hyderabad. Bruuhh, I feel ashamed when they say, "aur beta, Hyderabad kab jaa rahe ho!"

    I always used to thought that if someone asks me to tell gray code of binary, I would need to draw table spend 10 minutes and to write the Gray codes and then give the answer.
    And here, you taught me such a simple method!!!

    At the first example here two bits are changing after the conversion. It's not following the rule. Plz help me with this.

      He is converting binary to gray. They are the same values, not consecutive values. Convert the next binary value to gray and compare it to the gray code from the video. Only 1 digit changes.

    Binary to gray (remove confusion)
    1001=1101
    1010=1111(2digit change)
    1111=1000(3digit chage) how
    In 2nd and 3rd in seeing invalid because not only 1digit change

    However I have a question ,how is the gray code of 10000 is 0000?
    That was mentioned in the previous video.
    It should be 11000, isn't it?

      because we only have 4 bits to work with and gray code of 15 is 1000 therefore for 16 we do 0000 as two numbers having difference of one in their decimal value should only differ by one bit. so since 15 is 1000 making 16 0000 makes sense

    gray code is an unit displacement code...but in 1110 two digits are changed...it does not follow that rule

      It is equivalent grey code of a binary code...
      And concept is grey code of two consecutive number (e.g 4 and 5) differs by only a single bit.
      You can take any two consecutive number , find their grey code and compare .... you'll get your concept clear.

      1 will be the most significant digit as it's the first non zero from left

      Gray code is written for 4-bit Binary numbers. So 0(zero) is the MSB.

      The choice of MSB does not matter in such cases, the answer will be the same regardless of the choice
