Speaking of dogs... we have had a dog for 10ish years and she is the most social dog you can imagine. But from experience, 9/10 times it's the owner that can't handle or take care of a dog that makes it behave a certain way. Not all of them of course, but I wouldn't be too quick to judge a book by it's cover.
We had similar experiences with our dog as well. I made the most cutest picture of her and put it up on the internet. Most comments were very lovingly, but someone became a bit judgemental, because our dog is a Pug and said we shouldn't encourage the breeders by buying such a dog, because they are breed in the wrong way and it's animal abuse, so we were contributing to the abuse. I had to explain the person, that we saved her from an animal shelter at age 2 and that if you do research, it's the ones that are breed the most "pure" that are the ones with the health problems, while our Moya (luckily enough) wasn't breed "pure" and I mentioned how you can see she is not (her tail isn't double curled like a pig for example, which is the fashion standard). I mentioned that she is now 12 years old and hasn't had any health issues before, so there was nothing to worry about.
Not that you have no reason to be nervous about Pit-bulls, but I would first meet the people. It's the most common way that neighbor quarrels start :S Plus, moving is hectic, so maybe when they are settled, things become more coherent, like a proper leas etc.

Agree 100%. Wanted to respond to the video but didn’t know how without sounding like I was trying to start drama. I grew up with pit bulls (aka “bully breeds”) and they’re amazing dogs. It’s the owners that are bad. I realize that one bite from a strong dog like this can be devastating, but I also know that there are a lot of reasons dogs bite, and it’s often not their fault (it’s the fault of the owner who put them in the position that scared them enough to bite in the first place). It just makes me sad when people are afraid of ANY dog, especially without getting to know them first. I do agree though that kids shouldn’t be walking dogs (no matter what the breed) for a number of reasons.

Any terrier dog (I have two' plus have fostered a few Staffordshire terriers (AKA PIT BULLS) does not react well in a chaotic environment with a lot going on. They do well in a structured home, and that sounds crazy to have a little kid holding a strong dog on a tiny lead. I sure hope things can get settled for you all and the dogs don't end up paying for the owner's carelessness.
I am quite conservative with my clothing (I hate wasting money and I certainly don't have the hobby to collect them) and still, when we moved 2 months ago, I got rid of 5x 100L trash bag for donation. It's so ridiculous how much you still end up collecting that you haven't used in 5 years or so. XD
