Honestly I want this to use the turbocharger. Multiply the charge time by 1.5x or so without the hopup and that would balance its DPS a bit
@@lucassherfey6728 And I think all it needs is 4-7 ammo per shot consumption and longer reload or time in between shots. I even thing in such case, the damage can be slightly higher. I wouldn't like to see the actual shot or damage nerf, cause at this point, the gun just feels right. My biggest issue is, that you can shot it as soon as you basically stop with the last shot. On short/medium range, you will always be better with other guns (as you can see in this video).
@@orcusdei I think that the ammo idea is great, but at the same time almost nobody picks this weapon anymore, at least not in my games. Its only powerful if you got decent aim

I’ve been saying it since the first time I ever used it, the charge rifle is gonna get nerfed hard lol. It’s so broken as a sniper rifle especially with this new map.
If you just couldn't put sniper scopes on it, it'd be alright. Making a hitscan sniper is just too much. Gonna be tough to properly nerf it without completely changing the weapon.

If this gun would have been introduced in Kings canyon it would not have been this good. But being in this open area map its stupid that it can reach that far. Take a team of 3 with 3 charged guns and put them on high with the circle advantage, you can't win. No matter aceu or dizzy. You just can't win. Then of course if you get a lobby full of noobs like in this video, you can win with everything

@JHeints - Exactly. Its situational. It does a decent amount at close range too, so its nice to have as a back up, but it wont work very well when you only use that mid or close, when someone can one clip you with an r-99. Love the gold charge. Thermal scope is perfect for it.

I don't understand Respawns weapon philosophy sometimes. They make a Weapon that literally everybody agrees upon is OP. They probably know it and try to balance it, by giving it a ludicrous amount of visual laser garbage infront of it's muzzle. They have been getting muzzleflash feedback for the R-99 and L-star for months, and then completetely ignore it, when creating a new weapon.
This man is literally eating all his enemies across the map, I cant even see the difference of skill with him and dizzy as they both shred their opponents

I'm not saying the charge rifle isn't OP, because it clearly is and needs a nerf in fire rate, I'm just pointing out the silence of people who dont notice the r-99 and how its OP. This guy just melted a dude with the R-99 from far away and I just thought it was hypocritical, that's all.

The whole slow effect to getting shot needs to get removed from this game. Can’t believe it’s a thing when this game is based upon movement. It’s not just the charge rifle either tho other guns slow aswell. Except the charge rifle slows even more.

Both of these guns need nerfs. There is zero reason for the R99 to have as much prevalence as it does for as long as it has. It has insane accuracy, and a single clip has enough to melt anyone with less than purple shields. A peacekeeper on the other hand needs two shots for anything higher than blue shields and often times an enemy can go through two clips before a peacekeeper has a chance to fire off another shot.

Apparently the r99 is far more deadlier than the charge rifle but aceu complains over charge rifle because the charge rifle doesn't require much skill and a decent aim is all it requires. But incase of r99, it needs a lot of practice to control the recoil which means a lot of time has to be put to master it which casual gamers (or people with less than 100 hours of game experience) can't and all they do is camp ingame or complain about the r99 in reddit. Respawn's response to this is to lower the magazine size and increase the recoil which makes it even harder for the casual gamers to use the gun and not for the ttvs making the game much more harder for newbies which results in the decrease of apex's player base which obviously respawn doesn't want. Either I'm wrong or respawn doesn't care.
