That “fan” giving constructive criticism was speaking truth but he wasn’t helping. He understands his short comings. Did he have solutions, resources advice ect. It’s not the nice to just compare yourself to others we should only try and be the best us. That’s the thing tho….no one signed with JD afterwards. The “contract” and chain was literally not what he made it out to be and he’d be exploiting these kids and not really doing anything for them. It was really just a show and an extra stream of income. He’s been called out by almost every kid on the show. JD has even gone on record saying none of the kids were at the caliber he’d want to sign anyway….maybe only Latto. And she turned him down cuz the money he was giving she already had on her own. I feel for Nova man.. It pmo how dude did him at the end. Maybe ppl are ignorant to schizophrenia and mental illness struggles in general. Schizophrenia is literally disorganized thinking, speech, &/or behavior. I looked at his IG & was happy to see he’s still making music within his capacity. His health and his mind is all that matters, everyday he makes it through is a win. I hope he’s receiving the love and support, from the ppl in his life, that it takes to recover.

so many of y’all in the comments don’t understand mental health struggles y’all just wanna be bullies instead this is why I wish certain mental disorders were more widely taught about cause I know schizophrenia has probably the most misconceptions than most and people aren’t even trying to be understanding of how one would have to relearn how to navigate their life after being diagnosed with it
I feel it because I'm still learning too.. Understanding gotta be on both sides because the struggles are difficult to relate to since the information isn't known unless you are familiar with someone who suffers from it or your taught like you mentioned. Regardless im hoping with time and better ways to relate more ppl will have the ability to fully understand the severity of schizophrenia and ways to help those who suffer from it. Appreciate the insight 🙏🏽

Don’t watch the whole documentary because as a whole it can bring misconceptions as well but in the documentary for the slenderman stabbings the girl who has schizophrenia her dad speaks about his experiences having it as well and how he navigates that as an adult.🫶🏽much love

That’s the thing tho….no one signed with JD afterwards. The “contract” and chain was literally not what he made it out to be and he’d be exploiting these kids and not really doing anything for them. It was really just a show and an extra stream of income. He’s been called out by almost every kid on the show. JD has even gone on record saying none of the kids were at the caliber he’d want to sign anyway….maybe only Latto. And she turned him down cuz the money he was giving she already had on her own. I think that Rap Game(kinda) tried to do what American Idol was supposed to do….shed light on possible up and coming rappers. JD is def a legend in his own right, but I don’t think he had real intentions to help them more than increase their following and showcase their abilities.
I do feel bad for Nova tho cuz people say he fell off and criticize him, when he was dealing with real issues personally. Being diagnosed as schizophrenic in his early teens/20’s had to be tough on his family. And Deetranada doesn’t even mess with JD frfr because of all the disrespectful comments he’s had about her since she’s been on the show, lol. Lil Roscoe might have benefited more from JD helping him tho, so I def agree on that one💯

It almost seems as if Music wasn’t Nova’s true love but maybe a way to get out of poverty and His hardships as a teenager back than. He had a way with the crowd and got comfortable cocky and than lazy and than eventually fell off. It happens to the best of them. Music is constantly evolving and innovative, being stagnant and thinking someone wants to listen to the same ole will have You stuck. I feel his pride and ego is hurt because his contestants have out did him, and the ones he felt wasn’t competition is doing better than Him. Sucks!
