    The new relocation kit is a great idea.
    I’ve got a few friends that have done the dual group 25 kits and they love them
    Too bad I’ve already deleted my Aux battery and upgraded the main. Good to know there’s now multiple options.

    During a winter event the aux battery drained completely in about 2 weeks of sitting, drained the main as well. I could not drive at the time due to shoulder surgery. Service department said it was because the cold weather caused water with debris to freeze at the bottom of the aux battery compartment and when the snow melted the drain was plugged and filled the aux compartment. Warranty replacement. Then just over a year ago had another snow event and this time it was only a week that it sat not running. Aux drained, main fine. It would charge up and a couple days later, drained. Decided to 'forget' about it because I intended to put in the dual battery system anyway. Forward to this last January when I put in the dual system - and I found that the aux cable had bare wire on the positive cable. And it would have been touching the top of the aux compartment and when it got moist inside and water condensed on top - shorted out. And if they replaced the the aux batter from the wheel well the bare wire would not have been visible. Wrapped up well in tape now. That aux cable had very little slack, it was a very tight fit.

    Anybody who cares the ESS system is the way to go for the least amount of wear metals. There was a good video with testing showing wear metals decreased dramatically from fuel delusion when the ESS system is being used was with Lake Speed Junior, who put a lot of great informative videos about lubrication. Plus you save fuel.
    For the diesel gladiators and wranglers, it’s easier to access the ess battery. No fender flare or fuse box in the way. This is a great option for those who have the gas model. Personally, I would be running anti-gravity lithium batteries with this kit or with the stock system as they have a reserve capacity that will always allow you to start the vehicle even if you drain it down all the way. Plus it’s lighter in the front end where you need it or even if you’re running the dual battery kit for the diesels with Genesis I would still run lithium batteries for sure.
    I have to say Shane and whoever worked on this project have done superb job. Look at the quality and engineering that went into this!

    instead of the aux battery laying on it's side, why not have option 2 be with the aux battery standing up next to the regular battery instead of a 2nd full size battery?

    @ 2:43 you mentioned the Fuse box drops down in the video for the relocation. Do you have any video's showing the install process? Does going horizontal vs vertical with the small battery cause any issues?

    • @GenesisOffroad
      @GenesisOffroad 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, we have a full install video coming soon, just finishing up the editing. The battery tray is the same one we use in our full dual battery kits. That tray allows the fuse box to move down a little since the small aux battery is gone, thus freeing up some space above the fuse box. You can see how that tray gets installed in this video - ruclips.net/video/PZXSOqsVljQ/видео.htmlfeature=shared
      AGM batteries like the small aux battery can be installed in any orientation except upside down.

    with using the 2 agm batteries instead of the 1 small battery, does the ess system throw up the error message after a few cycles and then clear once the jeep is restarted? just like the Gen 3 system ?

    Are you working on similar solutions for Ecodiesel?

    • @GenesisOffroad
      @GenesisOffroad 5 месяцев назад +1

      The battery area on the ecodiesel is 100% different than the gas version. It's exceptionally difficult to get the stock battery tray out. So difficult in fact that it's not worth the trouble. We do have a couple of options for doing dual batteries in the diesel Jeeps. Take a look at our new options here - www.genesisoffroad.com/new-products.html

    In your video ruclips.net/video/_Fr_tLUEFIA/видео.html titled "Gen 3 Dual Battery System Overview", at 10:00 you mention that the cover on the Gen 3 protects against accidentally dropping a wrench or ratchet when working under the hood. Can we please get a cover on this kit as well?

    • @GenesisOffroad
      @GenesisOffroad 4 месяца назад

      For our Gen 3 kit, I was referring to protecting the smart isolator and other wiring components in the system. For the Relocation Kit and the Replacement Kit, there’s really nothing to cover up. The battery positive posts have insulating covers from the factory, so really nothing else needed.

    Why would you lower down your fuse box and in case of crossing high water level and you will be stuck,no thanks is not practical.

    • @GenesisOffroad
      @GenesisOffroad 4 месяца назад +2

      It gets moved down about 3 inches. If you’re crossing water higher than the fuse box, you’re going to have more problems than just the fuse box.

    • @sargab2942
      @sargab2942 4 месяца назад

      @@GenesisOffroad so the factory making these jeeps put the fuse box on top for no reason or maybe just for fun. Don't justify what you are offering to sell if it is not mechanically practical and it will give people more problems . have some honor and decency sir .

    • @GenesisOffroad
      @GenesisOffroad 4 месяца назад +4

      Let’s just think about what you’re actually concerned about. If water were to be above the fuse box, that would mean the entire interior would be flooded up to the steering wheel. Is that practical? Moving the fuse box down a couple inches has caused exactly zero issues for zero people since we launched the kit in 2018.
