I think that Armaldo being outlaw makes this story even more beautiful. This way, it's not only a story of how Wigglytuff's carreer as an explorer started, but also a story of Armaldo's redemption, his journey from being an outlaw to becoming good pokemon thanks to Igglybuff. I'm pretty sure that after Armaldo answered for his crimes and was set free, he probably met up with Wigglytuff and they may have had many more great adventures.
Roman 3MP1R3 ehh I feel it wasn’t necessary. It’s really up to the viewers imagination. He is a B rank outlaw so his crime couldn’t have been too severe but crime is still crime so... yeah
I guess from how the game describes the variety of outlaws from E-C being petty thieves and thugs, B-A being at least smarter such as trappers, information holders and leading to S-*(any) are truly the ones you would definitely not want to meet in a dark corridor. Though the rank doesn’t always reflect the Pokemon.

This is where I started to like Armaldo. And also this is where I started using him in the other Pokemon games like Black 2 and PMD: Red Rescue Team. Also I usually don't like bug type Pokemon, but this one is an exception. ☺️☺️☺️😁😁
I've described a (fictional) story to my mother where a young child is also going exploring with a friend of his, but his parents also never seen his friend. When the tragic part was being told I also played "defend globe" as background music. Anyway, his parents then find out what the child's friend looks like though his drawings of him. The friend is a blue fox; yes blue, who carries a bag on his side to hold treasure and maps, wears an orange neckerchief around his neck and one of his eyes is green while the other is purple. The child's parents find out that he's playing rather dangerous areas and they find him while he's exploring and they have no choice but to tell him that his friend isn't real. They say that his friend is just his young imagination. He asks his friend if it's true even though he realises that he made up his friend. Then defend globe starts playing as his blue fox friend says that it's unfortunately true that he's not real. The imaginary friend begins to disappear because the child knows that he's not real but is desperate for him to stay despite his imaginary friend saying that he can't, but he does manage to tell the child to continue exploring when he becomes older so he may find real treasure and explore real new places. It's added in that the two found a gem in one of their previous explorations but as the friend disappears he confesses that the gem is just an ordinary rock, the child just imagined it being a gem and sees the gem turn into the rock that it actually is. The friend then disappears completely and the child cries and his parents go over to comfort the clearly heartbroken child. I then asked my mother which was sadder: finding out if your best friend is a criminal or that they weren't even real all along. Her answer was that finding out that your friend was never real is more tragic because if they're a criminal, at least they still exist and you can see them again just like wigglytuff DID almaldo again after some time, but if your friend was never real you don't see them again. And she said that if she was observing the part where the poor child's imaginary friend disappears, she'd cry.
I just realized that as Igglybuff is about to release his power, Armaldo is the only one who isn't panicking. He's fully aware that Igglybuff has a great power inside him, and he knows that he's the only one who can stop him from hurting someone. I like to think that it's a testament to how close the two had gotten.
Even Drowzee was arrested and let go sometimes after. In Armaldo case we don't really know what happened to him after the story. But there is high chance it is the same thing as what happened with Drowzee.
Yeah, it is interesting. Nidoking stated that they were looking for Armaldo for quite a while, and if they've been searching for a really long period of time, then it could've been something pretty big. But on the other hand(going off of if pmd prison works like real life prison), if Armaldo did do something much more violent then just theft, they probably wouldn't have released him later on.
In PMD4, I think he is released, since there is a mission that igglypuff wants me to bring a reviver seed to Armaldo. And then he mentions about his old student who has become a famous guildmaster But we still don't see the reunion between wigglytuff and armaldo.
maybe he stole some maps for dungeons, as how he said he was a blockhead for exploring, and he maybe caused some injuries on the pokemon holding the maps, its story is pretty well costructed and underlined for this
@Rodrick Young First, you have to do a mission involving an igglybuff asking you to give Armaldo an apple. Once you completed the mission, Armaldo mentions about a student of him now become a famous guildmaster, which is Wigglytuff since PSMD loves to include the references from the past games. That's why I want a reunion scene between Wigglytuff the guildmaster and armaldo
One of the better special episodes here. Anyone else think that the Budew from this episode is intended to be Roserade from Team Raider in the postgame? Roserade is the only member of Team Raider that specifically mentions Wigglytuff, and Wigglytuff himself mentions them around the same time, so they clearly have a connection of sorts. You really have to wonder what Armaldo did to become such a notorious outlaw, given that he just comes across as a grumpy old hermit throughout the entire episode.
OMG I JUST REALIZED IGGLYBUFF TURNS OUT TO BE A SHINY WHEN WE MEET HIM IN THE GUILD (he has green eyes instead of cyan)! That must mean, IGGLYBUFF IS A 6IVs SHINY!! That's pretty rare.
Just thought of something. I know in some comments people were wondering why explorerers and the officers were so worked up over a simply B class outlaw when there were MUCH worse ones out there. Perhaps when Wigglytuff was a young kid, there just weren't that many pokemon outlaws yet? and certainly not so many dangerous ones. Whereas in the regular story of mystery dungeon time/darkness/sky, and also in blue/redm it is specifically alluded to that some pokemon in dunegons that are normally normal pokemon become very hostile when encountered during exploring.
It probably had to do with the area, since it's apparently safe enough for kids to be outside playing without the supervision of adults. Outlaws are likely a rarity where Wigglytuff grew up. A B-rank outlaw being out there probably really stands out and makes everyone afraid.
I just realized though this episode is really great and quite emotional there are two major flaws with it. Number 1: How the hell did Nidoking and the gang know we’re Iggluybuff and Armaldo were and where to find them and Number 2: Are you seriously telling me that Magnezone and the entire police force have been searching the whole region for a B ranked outlaw when they are more dangerous criminals like ⭐️6 or ⭐️ 9 ranked criminals out there?! Well if that’s the case then it’s no wonder why they need exploration teams to do must of their work.
I think star ranked is more of a custom rank for Maps more than the actual threat itself. As for threat there are E D C B A and S. B is not a joke and maybe even potentially dangerous....... And Nidokign just happen to spot it.
i kno this wuz 2 years ago but i hear its a thing in japan once u have a kid u refer to the other as the parental role rather than by name given this wuz clearly translated n localized pretty much directly, it aint a surprise that wuz the case
39:38 - 42:00 This part kinda reminds me of a Certain 2 characters in the main series. Gen 5 to be precise. Reminds me of when one of them left. And 2 years later, He came back. But the other one...He is still looking for him. The wise words that he left...”You said You have a dream...That dream...Make it come true! Wonderful dreams and Ideals give you the power to change the world! If anyone can, It’s you! Well, then...Farewell!” Or, “You said you have a dream...That dream...Make your wonderful dream a reality, and it will become your truth! If anyone can, it’s you! Well, then... Farewell!”
Probably because the credits are the same in every Episode i believe, and as a movie, it's better to have the credits only shown at the finale of the whole thing, this being Episode 5.
I would get an anorith and evolve it to armaldo and talk to wigglytuff as Armaldo just because of his request. ‘I would like to explore with you again’

seeing someone uploaded this vid kinda reminds me how i want to somehow they see each other again
Igglybuff being unfazed by Armaldo when they first meet might be the funniest thing ever
OMG I JUST REALIZED IGGLYBUFF TURNS OUT TO BE A SHINY WHEN WE MEET HIM IN THE GUILD (he has green eyes instead of cyan)! That must mean, IGGLYBUFF IS A 6IVs SHINY!! That's pretty rare.
i could watch this all day
Just thought of something.
This is why I always fond of Wigglytuff of all PKMN Games... I get frustrated when I don't see any Jigglypuff in the wild 😅
Seeing Wigglytuff cry really breaks your heart
Just imagine if Wigglytuff lost his temper.
He would be an wanted outlaw
I just realized though this episode is really great and quite emotional there are two major flaws with it. Number 1: How the hell did Nidoking and the gang know we’re Iggluybuff and Armaldo were and where to find them and Number 2: Are you seriously telling me that Magnezone and the entire police force have been searching the whole region for a B ranked outlaw when they are more dangerous criminals like ⭐️6 or ⭐️ 9 ranked criminals out there?! Well if that’s the case then it’s no wonder why they need exploration teams to do must of their work.
Nidoking was probably looking for the bounty.
He also was spying on Armaldo whenthey exited the cave, Armaldo said they were going to Fortune Ravine.
I think star ranked is more of a custom rank for Maps more than the actual threat itself. As for threat there are E D C B A and S. B is not a joke and maybe even potentially dangerous....... And Nidokign just happen to spot it.
I think it has to do with the area being regarded as "peaceful". It would stand out that an outlaw of that rank is hiding in a place like that
This is my favorite side story to this game, MD explorers of sky
27:45 A legendary trap for prodigies.
The feels, why...
WHY FEELS, WHYYYY?!
So wait, Wigglytuff's parents are actually called Mama and Papa? It's not just what Wigglytuff calls them, it's their actually names?
Dude.
i kno this wuz 2 years ago but i hear its a thing in japan once u have a kid u refer to the other as the parental role rather than by name
given this wuz clearly translated n localized pretty much directly, it aint a surprise that wuz the case
Does anybody knows the theme at the end?
Defend Globe
Farewell!”
I gotta say-- Level 44 Igglybuff is impressive!
God damnit I thought this game was done pulling heart strings.
I swear Wigglytuff is the best character in this game
I almost got brought to tears. It’s so wholesome.
People be wanting the main protagonist and Grovlye reuniting...... I kinda want Wigglytuff and Armaldo reunion
Why are you cutting off the Credits?
Probably because the credits are the same in every Episode i believe, and as a movie, it's better to have the credits only shown at the finale of the whole thing, this being Episode 5.
Yoom-TAH!
7:00 so this is the power of Yoomtah Instinct....
This game…
It just pulls my heartstrings in the best ways.
Also 24:44 teeheehee.
I pokemon mystery dungeon
it keeps making me cry😭
7:05 how to tell a story with everyone’s attention
Man dude I just want to know what happened to him after ;-;
"I'm the bad guy?"
"yeah"
"How'd that happen. I did everything they told me to."
The end is too sad :,(
And what happened to Armaldo? Was he actually left to rot in jail? He never saw Igglybuff again, from what we know!
***** What a relief.
Oh wow, I never really did many missions after I completed SMD, good to hear they remembered Armaldo.
27:38 Wait a minute, is that Team Charm’s Hideout?
Arggh! I wanna replay Pmd explorers! of sky again! And cry many times
I would get an anorith and evolve it to armaldo and talk to wigglytuff as Armaldo just because of his request.
‘I would like to explore with you again’
As Wigglytuff has a past, He was a young Igglybuff.
