Joe the science of boxing is taught differently around the globe and even from gym to gym, philosophies on stance, how to defend, weight distribution, head movement etc is different. Hell even the JAB is taught different and what a jab is, is different depending on how you learn it.

Pound for pound Floyd is not faster than Ali and you have to watch sugar Ray Leonard to see real incredible speed if you want a guy that's a welterweight like Floyd. Sugar Ray Leonard's hands and feet are three times faster than Floyd's and he was a little bigger.

The reason Floyd fought Oscar de la Hoya is because he thought de la Hoya was washed up. Floyd was right on that one. Oscar only fought two more times in 2 years. Oscar was way past this prime and at least 6 years away from it. Floyd gets credit for beating an old washed up Arturo gatti and Oscar de la Hoya and Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao.....? Wtf?!?!!! So when he beats these guys when they're 40 or near 40 he gets credit???? He beat Manny Pacquiao who had already been knocked out unconscious 2 years before but refused to fight him when he was in his prime. Floyd is the most overrated fighter in history plain and simple.
as soon as oscar beat mayorga everyone said he's better than ever and will beat mayweather. when mayweather beats him 1 year later everyone complains that de la hoya is too old. same goes for mosley when he beat margarito.
@@yeah91919 People who really know boxing knew better than that. Oscar deserved a draw and Mosley still almost kod Floyd at 38 yrs old. Mayorga was a face first defenseless fighter who should never be used as measuring stick compared to a defense first fighter like Floyd. I can say the exact same thing about Margarito. So I don't know who you were listening to but they don't know boxing.

@@yeah91919 he had Floyd wobbling all over the place. My point is is that I don't know who you were talking to who was saying that Oscar beating a one-dimensional Mayorga qualified him to beat Floyd. Oscar was way past his prime like I said everybody knew that and Floyd still struggled big time against Oscar who had 2 fights in three years before fighting Floyd.
