This is the First time ever in Crossout where a new Weapon disappointed me this much, that I just wanted to stop recording with it on how horrible it feels to use.
I don’t know JB, I still love crossout for what it is but still, the way this game has been managed throughout the years and then still seeing crap like this with the devs and the game. It’s sad, makes a person not want to play. It’s like that’s what the devs want. You would think for as long as the game has been out, that the devs would lean and do better. But nope, seems not. Also though, what do I know, I’m just some dumb player.
Devs cant even build, they dont know how to turn the highlighted pins on in build mode. That shows they dont spend enough time testing, building and adjusting the wepons they introduce. They wait until the number come through the gameplay. Perfect example was the hadron bug with reload weps, it has happened three times. You would think after the first time they would test the hadron after introducing any new reload module or weapons.
imagine spending 8hrs a day looking at code and testing if the game itself wants to even run, yeah, they dont have time for learning other parts of game so they leave it to testing team.
A high skill cap weapon that literally cannot be fired at close range, and that deals less damage than the Mandrake and Heather, which are both barely played. These are practically useless in a game as fast as Crossout
One thing that really helps , is if you put a stacked tower of buggy pieces as tall as u can build. Gives you a birds eye view and makes aimimg alot easier
It’s definitely a weapon dependent on your skill of predicting the enemy’s movements, only good against ground targets, and need to keep range. Kapkan to lock enemies in place, or at least an ally with a couple. They have lots of potential, but not many weapons operate like these do.
Gonna be brutally honest JB your aim was a bit off tho I do agree it needs a bit of work it would be a lot better if they increased the explosion radius and keep the spred the same or vise versa (as in reduce the spred and keep the explosion radius the same )
Good to know! I think I'll stick with my upgraded Crickets. (Hover, Steppe Spider, KA-2 Flywheel) It may only be an Epic weapon, but it works perfectly fine in Hard Raids. :)
This is 💯. The easy to use stuff should have way lower dps than the skilled weapons. In no way shape or form should a harvester have more dps than any Canon in the game takes way more skill to shoot a cannon than to simply drive...

i feel like leaning your build forward, like with the horizontal mandrake to a lesser extent, would help a lot with hitting enemies at the same elevation
I think that weapon works better for an air-to-ground flyer. It's like pyres now, good luck hitting someone else who flies, but if you use it in a helicopter against terrestrials it's very effective.
they seem to have something wrong with the projectile hit registration. the inconsistency seems to be from something like that, some of them hit sometimes other times just null hit. for their tier, they should be dealing a hell of a lot more dmg especially using 2 of them!
It's definitely a high-skill weapon. Your first build with the Torero was a better choice imo. Medium range, run and gun works well with the Swarm. You're not so dependent on leading the target at medium to close range and can really wreck people. Trying to snipe with it on any build is mostly a wasted effort unless you're teamed with a Kapkanner or someone with a skinner or even melee (who would generally be pinning a target.)
I honestly wonder if the accuracy boosting ain't hurting you more than it's helping. The rockets are supposed to lock onto whatever is in the circle, making it smaller just seems to make it harder to land shots. Both new weapons seem kinda meh though honestly. Guess I'll pick one randomly and hope it gets buffed later lol.
They aren't intended to lock on. The circle shows where they will land. Decreasing that area means more missiles hit a smaller area. I don't know what gave you the idea that they lock on to a target.
They do not lock onto anything, they're fire and forget, but only to reach that circle target. Lock on was the biggest farce I've heard about this weapon upon reveal.
@@tostaydownProbably the part of the description that says it "Homes in on the area." I took that to possibly mean the projectiles lock onto w/e is in the circle but apparently not. I guess the other reason is because that would have made it somewhat unique instead of just a subpar artillery weapon.
He literaly uses Jay on both builds... this just shows what bad blind players I have to deal with on a daily basses. Luckily sometimes they are on enemy team and not mine
It does look like it will take awhile to get used to the weapon. The time it takes for the projectile to reach the target changes based on distance. Heather and mandrake the timing is roughly the same each shot
I think swarms are intended for multiple targets instead of 1 like with incinirator or jotun, those weapons have a pretty decent zone attack and so does swarm
They really aren’t though. 1. They really only excel against large slow builds 2. dmg per volley is mediocre at best (and that’s IF you land every single rocket) 3. Reload speed isn’t something crazy 4. Projectile speed is fast but no where near impressive enough to make the weapon objectively “good” Overall, the weapon is incredibly underwhelming. Is it the worst legendary in the game? No, but it’s definitely a let down for what most were expecting prior to release
Lucifer's aren't any better either. You can let out a Triple Volley Payload of Crickets faster than you would all twenty Missiles from a Lucifer, take advantage of the distance perk and do more damage. Where as with Lucifer's if you are only hitting the cabin you aren't getting any of the perk. It just has no finishing power. The recent Legendary Rocket weapons have been complete garbo imo.
it's probably a marketing strategy. it's probably all intended. "hey lets make trash guns in main bp, no one is gonna notice right away right! then, we can make a raijin cannon, make it op, and at the same time make uranium cc accessible" caching .....
@@derrick_playsfr, people manage to put raijin in 5k builds wich makes the game unfair and i sometimes wonder if that thing has been nerfed in the 1st place, same goes for cyclone and spectre 2, yokozuna on the other hand has been nerfed into the ground, why not do the same for raijin, cyclone and spectre 2
Only consistent use i found for these is in leviathan battles. Leviathans are big and slow perfect targets. Mounting these on your leviathan makes it op too with the auto aim.

I think they probably tweak these weapons a little. I think if they allow you to aim closer to your build, give the rockets a little more velocity, and increase the blast radius 50% or 75%
Swarms seem to be an amazing spider counter. Three swarm Catalina hover with some would probably shred any CW spider stack team. I don't think they are bad at all.
Watching you struggle to use this weapon. Makes me wonder if I should even try it when I lvl up. I'm only lvl 10 but I'm playing more often. And getting better. Your videos have helped me improve, thanks so much.
the damage seems ok, but it's hard to predict where the enemies would go. especially since everything in crossout is so fast these days. swarms could be a good fun alternate to the meta retcher tower in levi raids (i hope so)
Yea he needs to realize this weapon is very different from other ones and that it's not a frontline weapon, like the mandrake and heather. It's not good when you push up and is best when you hang back. He missed a lot of shots and had times where only a few rockets hit and acted like it was bad when he also hit for 1500-3000 damage a good amount of times? I do think it should be less restrictive with the range that you cant fire at someone up close though

I believe if one could use the swarm in a good way they would be easily dominating certain matches, but it would take the time to develop the skill, and thats what players dont want anymore, and thats really sad tbh

I have multiple builds in my lineup that took me a few days to understand how to use properly, it took me a while but once I got the hang of them they were super fun. And its probably gonna be the same thing with the Swarm, if you wanna be good at it, go fucking practice and dont annoy everyone else with ur braindead push w builds

I built a build on Xbox with dual swarms and a ghost cabin with chameleon.. damage is disgusting but very tricky to get the weight perfect with enough durability and protection but if you get it right when you jump out of that cloak oooohh the damage baby!.

some guns are just more fun then they are effective, with swarms i can get odd wobble shots and 200 dmg or they can pop off 4k white, literally hit or miss
JB please use these new BP items on mech builds . I think for one these are all made more with mechs in mind and with all the new players we are getting because the mech legs I'm sure people would love to see mech builds more right now . Much love .

Do not build the swarms sideways, you will Always hit the walls and the swarms are still better then Tsunamis. You need mor practice with the swarms. And a moving Target is Always worse hitting than a not moving Target. And u need to aim ahead of the target, Just Like Heathers and Mandrake.

I like a couple towers of van ramps. Really inexpensive parts, buggy stuff can be higher ps because of weight to durability.

Yes the new weapons are trash, which is a first. I'd rather the weapons come out weak than op. They will get a buff eventually i'm sure.

I think the harpy cabin is better for the swarm missiles

Yo, rider, if you zoom in (using arc weapons) you actually get an increased view height, making it easier to predict and see where your enemies go!!!!

no, the weapons that require aim bot like abilities aren't worth it. Avalanche, artillery ect

It is a faster hurricane which can be dodged by anyone, not just hellicopters and it could do jack shit against said hellicopters.
I think they tested the upgraded one only and it now performs like unfused
The swarm seems to do better if it is paired with auto cannons or another type of rocket weapon like snowfall.
I have three and in the garage they are amazing. In the actual game.... ehhhj kind of hard to use.
the cabin buffs only course rockets, these are self guided rockets...

Try using the new swarm launcher on a helicopter build. WAAAAY more consistent damage, and when you put a jackie on there with them, its game over😂

swarm only work great on helicopter build in PVE. only ground build I used got 1.9k -2.7k damage was with two trombone
Maybe they do better on a tall Mech build hovers too low.?🤔

The swarm would be better on the dinos but then you can't play normal pvp
Do not build the swarms sideways, you will Always hit the walls and the swarms are still better then Tsunamis. You need mor practice with the swarms. And a moving Target is Always worse hitting than a not moving Target. And u need to aim ahead of the target, Just Like Heathers and Mandrake.
These might need a projectile speed buff and definitely an explosion radius increase
