    Various filtering aids remove substances like small amounts of suspended matter from the water. It's also possible to remove iron or manganese from the mains water in the traditional manner.
    The different tanks contain different filtering aids, such as special granulate, gravel or activated carbon. These filtering aids are in layers, each of them exhibiting a different density.
    The Krones Group plans, develops and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process, filling and packaging technology. Its product portfolio is rounded off by information technology, factory planning and products from Krones’ subsidiaries as intralogistics, valve production etc.

    Hello, i have a question. How do we especially the engineer do to prevent the activated carbon to not getting into purified water flow? Considering how small the carbon is they might carried by the flow of the outlet water. Thank you

      Thank you for your completely justified question! The filter nozzles at the bottom of the filter tank have a gap width of 0.2 mm. Even if 0.2 mm is very little and the activated carbon particle size is 0.5 - 1.7 mm, fine activated carbon dust can pass through the nozzle, especially when the activated carbon has reached a certain age. Therefore we provide a particle filter with a pore width of 5 micrometers behind each activated carbon filter. This way the activated carbon dust can be retained.

    Did you use a pressure tank in the video ? or is it just an ordinary water tank?

      Anthony Guiller Lumanglas For the Hydronomic F we don’t need a pressure resistant vessel 🙂

    why is carbon at the top of the layers?

    • @krones
      @krones  6 лет назад +1

      Hello! 😊
      it's just physics - Activated carbon has the lowest density of the materials used - so it is automatically at the top.
      Have a nice day!

      hmm so that makes sense, but isnt activated carbon better used for removing smaller particle whereas sand is better for larger particles? so wouldn't it makes sense to have the sand on top to remove the big stuff before it gets to the carbon?

    • @krones
      @krones  6 лет назад +1

      Hello,
      We handle our activated carbon extra gently during backflushing-
      the sand layer distributes the waterflow of the nozzles (minute 2:25).
      So we get a homogeneous flow profile.
      The removal of larger particles can be ensured by a Hydronomic Ultrafiltration system or a sand filter before the carbon filter.
      We hope, that we could help you.
