    I have TOS and I'm in the UK. Very little specialism here, thanks for sharing.

    Thank you very much for this demonstration, but do we need venography after the procedure to ensure the patency?

    Is anything done beforehand so when you do the incision there is no bleeding?

    Hi. Is it bad that a subclavian vein doesn’t open after this procedure is done? I’ve gone through this and my subclacien never opened up and I have to rely on collateral veins now. Are there any long terms risks with this ?

      Hey Bob, did you see a Vascular Radiologist after surgery? They can do a venoplasty and balloon the vein. Consider speaking to one. Stay hopeful. God bless.

      @@NYsFinestDiva hi there thanks for your message! I did see a radiologist and he attempted to do an angioplasty on the vein but said he could not reach my vein with the catheter so it’s best to leave it. I’ve heard that there is a high chance of the vein occluding after balloon as well..on a positive note I don’t have any major issues with the affected arm

      @@RMD992-f2n OKAY! As long as it was a VASCULAR and Interventional Radiologist. I'm glad to hear you have no serious issues with the arm though. God bless!

    How high would be the risk for neumothorax?

    Has anyone had issues with swelling after this? I have swelling over my collarbone where it meets the sternum and have had it for almost 3 months post op.. it flares up with exertion ( doesn't take much), I'm worried as I'm an electrician with a physical job who likes to also exercise. Dr said there might be swelling for months but I would feel at ease if anyone has had the same thing/gone through this?.

    Oxy and Soma are the only things that help with the pain from this surgery. They weren’t lying when they said this would be a very painful recovery.

    Where is phrenic nerve?

    • @Jon-ol2wq
      @Jon-ol2wq 2 года назад

      the phrenic nerve runs anterior to the anterior scale and was likely too medial to be seen in this view

      @Jon-ol2wq 2 года назад

      No. There will always be a small amount of oozing. So long as no major blood vessels are injured and the small bleeding vessels are cautarized/ligated there will be minimal blood loss.

      @@Jon-ol2wq Ok thanks for the reply, do you have any videos that show surgery exposing the 5th anterior rib? Just wondering which muscles and where would have to be cut to access the 5th anterior rib where it meets with the cartilage. Also do you have any recommendations on which instruments or tools you use for cauterizing or ligating the incision site to eliminate bleeding during the operation after the incision on the skin?
