After an unpleasant lunch at our used-to-be favorite restaurant, Sue and I visited our favorite thrift stores in Hanover, PA. I was even able to fill my cart at Community Aid.

Sell the pitcher with 4 glasses as a set and then sell the other 6 glasses as a set.
"Dolores Umbridge was here." Spits tea back into cup from laughter🤣
natalie mcdonald I’m slow, it took a minute.
Love Sue!
I would fill the plastic dog with cement to make as door stop. So cute.
Fun Trip----although I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I would LOVE to see footage on whatever went down at the restaurant! lol!
Star Dust It was actually the previous visit that we wanted to discuss. (And I do have it on video.) Juliette and I had gone there before one of our shopping trips and waited 45 - 60 mins for our food. Our server had a full dining room and when I asked her about why she didn’t have help-it was because she liked the tips. But then she was forgetting stuff because she was so busy. And Juliette didn’t get anything to drink for about 25 minutes and she forgot my drink altogether. Now Juliette-my five year old-doesn’t want to go back. You know it’s bad when a five-year old notices the slow service and refuses to go back. So we just wanted to mention the experience to the manager and the hostess told us we couldn’t speak with the manager(s). It was very strange. If the hostess hadn’t been the way she had, we would probably still spend our money there every week.
Crazy Lamp Lady I had a crazy restaurant experience too. My husband & I always went to a nearby Sushi restaurant, usually a couple of times a week. It always seemed like a nice place. One night we ordered, waited 45 minutes for the food & was told as soon as it was served they were closing early so we needed to be finished in 5 minutes. (Seriously, 5 minutes.) There were no signs saying they were closing early. We quickly ate as much as we could then got ready to leave to accommodate this. My husband mentioned to the waiter it would have been better if he had told us before serving us, but the waiter just shrugged. When we paid, my husband was not upset but thought he'd also mention it to the manager so asked to speak to him. After a fairly long wait he came out to talk to him. English was a second language for all the staff & the manager seemed to have the most difficult time with this (he had not said anything in English by that point) so my husband very politely asked if he spoke english. The manager got angry, said something in Japanese to the waiter who told us the manager said to tell us not to come back 😂😂😂 I never let my husband live it down that he also got me banned when I hadn't said a word. The restaurant closed permanently soon after that so we assume my husband's question wasn't what really upset the manager.
yes mam!!
*Sets airplane lamp in the cart* "..because in a couple of years it's not going to fly with him." How very pun-ny of you, Sue! :))
The airplane lamp would look great with a blue sky/white clouds shade.
Hmm. Good idea. This is the second good idea for that lamp I've gotten from our viewers today. Thanks!
Those green glassware pieces were given away with fill ups at Esso/Exxon (I think that brand) stations in the very early 70s
Cool! Thanks for the info. Im old enough to remember when gas stations gave gifts and Green Stamps.
I remember that
And a toaster when you opened a bank account! Those were the days not so long ago
Love watching you and Sue together! Yay Sue’s channel!!
About the pitcher set... back on the day, the ice was separate. So, put the ice in the cups, and fill with liquid from the pitcher. It worked 😊
Ro Sey
Yes and it would probably be rare that you would be using all ten glasses at a time.
* Sue talking about the lamp*
"In a few years, that's not gonna fly with him"
The lamp is a plane😂😂😂 Sue you're so punny!!!
I caught that, too. 😂
3500 new items every day? I'm traveling to Pennsylvania from Texas just to go to Community Aid!
Can you pick me up, I'm in New Zealand.... :)
I’m in Texas! I’ll go with ya!!! 😁
Omg ha that’s what I’m sayin! We only have goodwills in our city in Texas. Pretty lame
I’m in Texas too
Looking forward to Sue's channel.
Haven't heard that Sue is having a channel. Do you know the name?
I think it's going to be called SueMe to debut this weekend some time.
@@betsypool9928....Cute name. I love her. She's so knowledgeable.
Great haul!!! Sue with the keys and the pink in her hair was everything! She's got places to go and on a mission!! LOL xoxo
I love the interaction you two have. Sorry about the bad lunch, dining out with a friend is supposed to be relaxing with almost invisible service and a good atmosphere. There’s a lot of fun stuff in your carts and the deer are my faves. Thanks for taking us along.
Get that metal hanging bracket off that parrot plate! It will cause chips exactly where the hanger sits. NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!
Super excited for Sue's page!!
Please tell me about Sue's page. Where do I find it
WooHoo! That green glass pitcher & glass set is by Anchor Hocking in the Sorento pattern. LOVE IT! 👍
Wish RUclips had a "love" button. So this will have to do 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗. You ladys are amazing and so fun!
My breakfast is coffee and a Crazy Lamp Lady video to get me going :)
Goodmornin ladies I think you two are adorable together. I love learning new things and going on your adventures 😂. Can't wait for Sues new channel ...i could watch you all day...
Every time I see a plate with a cat on it, I think of Dolores Umbridge.
Thanks, JK Rowling.
Me too! I can't even buy one.
But, but, but... the pink swans!!!!
I thought she was reaching for them at first!
I can appreciate Sues Dr. Strange reference...I like her even more now. Can't wait for her channel premiere this weekend !
The airplane lamp is "not gonna fly with him anymore," no pun intended! LOL
That book...Dean koontz intensity sitting by the kitty shoes...scariest book I ever read!!!
Watching you and Sue just makes my day a whole lot brighter, keep up the AWESOME videos!
Oh yeah you and sue my favorite Duo Can't Get Enough could watch you all day everyday!!! And I can't wait for Sue's Channel.
A Sue channel..omg awesome!! Thank you both for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Your friendship, love for life and thrifting/repurposing is a bright spot on RUclips.
Sue is so sweet, seems she finds things for the kiddos quite often! ❤💚💜
My mom had sets of those green glasses. 60s - 70s
You do a great job of all your videos, please keep doing all of them. 😊
I get too excited when I get the notification that you have a thrift store vid up!!! Keep up the fun and informative work!!! We ❤️❤️ you and your shopping buds!!!!
Loved this trip! Jocelyn, your laugh is infectious. 😁 can't wait for Sue Me!
There are Ireland 'fanatics' or Irish pride Obsessed lol. I happen to know because I live with one. Lol. So I think you would be able to sell St Patrick's day items fair priced any time of the year. :)
Very excited for Sues channel to go up this weekend!!
I love seeing what you two find. I've written, texted, posted myself many many notes so I don't forget to watch for the link to Sue's channel. Looking forward to the haul video for this adventure.
I am so looking forward to the Sue Me channel. I can't even wait! It's gonna be amazing. You ladies are amazing and so much fun. Have a great weekend girls. ✌
dalila salas it’s this weekend!!!! Yay!
Awe...Yeah!!🎉🎈✨I love when you two get together.☕☕❤
If you fill the glasses with ice first I bet you can use the pitcher to fill all 10 glasses. LOL.
I love how close sue puts things up close to her face to read markings 😂
Good for you, Sue. I love the St. Patrick's day stuff.
Cyndi Duncan super cute
I love how Sue loves the children and is always thinking about them. Yes, we all need a Sue!
SUE!!!!!!!! What a great way to start my day!!!!!!!
I cant believe you didn't even look at the pink swans!
Another great video. Fun times. Now off to work. These help make a great start for my day!
I don’t know how I found you but so glad I did! I’ve been binging on your videos, I love Sue! I was so happy to be able to wake up to the both of you!
Chris White me too!!! Argh can’t stop watching :-)
I always wait for Sue to say “we’ll see you inside” it makes me feel like I’m shopping with y’all ❤️
So excited and ready for "classes" to begin!! Thanks to both of you Ladies for sharing your vast knowledge with us!!!
Thanks for taking us along. I had fun!
I always find myself saying, "Wait, what was that... go back" but you never hear me lol... you guys are great
I collect that soreno glass. The pitcher goes with the small juice glasses. People used to drink less juice pack then like 4 oz. There is a larger pitcher to go with there larger 12 oz glasses. The glasses you found are a good size for milk. I only have the 12 oz glasses so far. I want your set.
You're really only supposed to drink small amounts of fruit juice according to nutritionists, so the people back in the day were correct.
I had those in the 70's! Yes, juice pitcher and had smaller glasses to go with it. Oh, those were the days.😂
Love you two. What a pleasant time spent watching.
Cool buys! Can't wait to see how you transform the lamps for the kids!! Happy Weekend 😘😘
I love your halls and every thing you do. Don’t stop, pleeeze!
Serve the glasses filled with lemonade over ice cubes. Touch up the glasses with the contents of the pitcher. There! Makes complete sense that the pitcher is impossibly small!
I need a clever gal like you to help me out with the logistics of life.
@@whutzat Me, too... :-)
Love your thrift videos! Sue is amazing as always! I can't wait for her channel to go up. I love how you are always able to find cute little animal figurines. Your thrift stores have amazing items. I loved those two pink swan planters? Figurines? I saw on the shelf. I couldn't tell if they are vintage or modern. Love the Lilly Pulitzer mug.
Yaaaasss sue with the arts & crafts DIY tips! 👏👍 now I want to make a lamp
I was so happy when I found your channel, I don't drive and since moving in with my son I'm not close to any thrift stores now. My whole family loves to go JUNK'N. as we call it. My son makes pretty good money but still loves the thrill of the hunt and sells a lot. This is like virtual Junk'n for me. Thanks for taking me along.
“Dolores Umbridge was here” I love sue 😂😂😂
I recently discovered your videos. I absolutely love it. You, Sue, and Andrew are awesome. I have learned a lot by watching. Thank you so very much for sharing the knowledge. You are awesome!
Love this video. 💕💕💕. I cracked up at Sues “Delores Umbridge” comment. 😂😂😂😂😂
so glad you got the glass pitcher! Someone is gonna want that for sure! And they might only have 4 friends over so only use 4 glasses at a time lol. Great find!
Haha I was thinking fill the cups and use the pitcher to top them off
My grandmother had those green glasses and pitcher. She had plates too. Love them!!!
I really, really, really like (Trying not to say I love "things" anymore, lol) that Lily Pulitzer mug and of course those cat shoes. So cool :)
I don't know why, but I love to watch you girls shop! Thanks for sharing.
Great video and I'm so excited for Sue's channel so I'll have 2 favorite RUclipsrs to follow!
Love you guys so much! You make me laugh and brighten my day so much!💖
My sister painted that cat back in the day. We went to the ceramic shop once a week when I was a kid. I love it when you find stuff that was hand painted at the ceramic shop! Brings back so many memories. Like the fact that they sold soda, but didn't have a bathroom, lol.
yay! So excited about Sue's channel! Love that Lily P mug, and those book ends as well! I just thrifted some gorgeous horse book ends Tuesday!
I can't wait for Sue's channel. LITERALLY setting an alarm for it!:)
Love you guys!! Enjoy your friendship so much!! I'm sorry that you girls are always feeling like you have to defend yourselves.... that was something about the restaurant issue... wow!!
Sue quoting Thor and Dolores Umbridge is a mood!
26 minutes has never gone sooo fast!! Loved the video 🥰
Has anyone figured out how we can clone Sue? Cause i kinda want my own Sue... LOL
Vincent Kendall Me too!
Same
me too
This is the exact thing I implied under a different video!!!
Here too 😊
Looking forward to Sue's channel. You two are my favorite duo thrifters!
Really looking forward to Sues channel! Love you girls!
Just started watching, after thinking I should start thrifting and selling online at Etsy myself. Y’all are such an INSPIRATION! 💙
I think the new restaurant is right behind you at the Hungry Parrot Pizza Co. Lol! Love the video as always! It is great to see Sue and I am excited for her new channel!
I am so jealous LOL ! Your thrift stores are huge and look like such interesting stuff in a fun place to shop
That creepy doll reminded me of Carol Channing. I expected it to belt out “Hello , Dolly!”
Love you Gals together❤
Always FUN!!
You two lovely ladies and Andrew have inspired me to get back into my thrifting and flipping ways! Thank you!
At around 11:50-the whole discussion between you and Sue regarding the green mid-century pitcher and glasses had me nearly rolling on the floor dying with laughter! I just have to give you my personal insight regarding this. I come from a really huge family-10 kids in ours and 7 kids on my Aunt’s side (my Dad’s sister). So my grandparents had 2 children and ended up with 17 grandchildren. Every year my Aunt has a huge summer party for her Dad’s ( my grandfathers) birthday. It was lovely but it was a ton of work, as you can imagine. The grandkids could eat off paper plates and drink out of paper cups, but the grown ups would sit at my Aunt’s incredibly ginormous dining room table and eat off of proper plates and glasses.
Well, my Aunt had a set just like this green one. It went perfect with the orange shag carpet. Hey, this was the 70’s-it was groovy! I was the “official” beverage steward-my job was to fill up all the water glasses in the kitchen, carry them to the dining room two by two and carefully place them on the table. Then once or twice during the grown up meal I would walk around with the small green pitcher and refill the water glasses. I was really little and this made me so happy! I felt so big and important! And I got praise and compliments from all the grown ups without any competition from siblings or grown ups.
So basically what I am saying is I believe the green pitcher is meant for refilling ones beverage-it is not supposed to be the “primary source”. At least that is how we used to do it. Because otherwise little- kiddie slave-labor-starved-for-adult-attention-and -compliments would slosh water or iced tea all over the nice tablecloth if one were filling up glasses already set on the table! My relatives used to kindly grab their short green glasses and hold them out while I two handed held onto the green pitcher.and refilled their water glasses.
Wow-this really brought back memories! I don’t know whatever happened to that set-maybe this is it!
Oh Sue, I’m soooooo happy you are going to make your own RUclips show! Don’t stop showing up on The Crazy Lamp Ladies show though, please! You guys are so good, just love it! Congratulations Sue!
Each morning I look forward to watching your video with my morning coffee. I can hardly wait for Sue to have her own RUclips, since I drink two cups of coffee each morning. ;o)
Lynne love this
Oooooh my goodness!! That is a gray Persian kitty. I had one for 16 years, my precious lil Whiskers. She was gray, but had copper eyes. Best cat ever! ❤
Oh! I had a copper-eyed blue Persian cat, too. He was Knobhill Cornelius and was a joy to have in my life! ❤️
@@Furcorners I knew I liked you, girl!! Whatta GREAT name for a Persian too!
Yay for cross body bags! I use them all the time ....My hands are free and I don’t forget my purse!
You two are so fun to watch ! Although , I am super curious about what happened in that restaurant. Yay! Sue"s channel, just more to love from the Crazy Lamp Lady's extended Family.
Yea!😍 My 2 favorite Bff 👍 Tfs ladies🌞
Oh that candle stick that Sue showed that she wants to make a lamp into ..... Its the perfect small size for people that have indoor plants on shelves where not a lot of natural light comes in and if they get that special light bulb it would look nice on a shelf with no shade at all. I have issues with finding short enough lamps to fit on the shelves I have plants on so that is an AMAZING idea!
Love watching you guys and looking forward to Sue's channel!
You two are so cute, I just can’t 🥰❤️ Jocelyn, you and Sue have the sweetest personality I’ve ever seen here on RUclips probably. Love you guys! 😘
I have learned so much from you & Sue. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
YAY Sue !!! I am really looking forward to your channel too. Count me in as a subscriber.
The green oval pyrex casserole I got for a wedding gift in 1972. Still have it too!
I love how Sue buys your kids stuff. Just like a Grandma.
I love the videos of the two of you together!
I am obsessed with sue! She is friend goals for sure!
You are simply the best! My new RUclips fix. Thank you for the entertaining content. I love thrifting.
yesss can't wait for sue's channel to go up! i wish our tj maxx had bookends like that... they have really good bags and cookware, but home decor is always a bit lackluster (or someone else is faster than me lol)
Love it! LOL at in a couple of years that plane won't fly anymore with Ashton!
That was totally unintentional, and I didn't notice the pun until I watched the video. I am the queen of unintentional puns because I have one of those minds that just seems to lock onto a word and play with it, spitting variations back out over and over again. I would have been the hit of the social season back in 1840's London...
Solution for the undersized pitcher...you put them all on a tray and fill the glasses and the pitcher in the kitchen, then deliver to the dining room...the pitcher is for 'refills'? Could work...
Love the shopping!!! Let's see some projects :-) Eager to learn.
Yes!!!!!
Love the Dolores Umbridge shout-out
