I've counted 11 seperate animations cycles. That alone must have takene a long time. Add the model for the crabs, then the island, then the specification that the sand can be thrown in the air and the placing this mass of crabs where each has their own direction... yeah probably a good idea to do it in the Unreal Engine. That sand alone would have been a bitch to animate with all the tiny particles.
