Crucifix in room only prevents symbols, not attacks or scares. If you hold the crucifix, you only get to clear 1, but if it's placed in a room, it'll protect from 2.

I'm actually suprised the only mortician sims out there are just disguised horror games at this point. There is pretty much a legit sim for just about every other profession. To be clear I prefer games that have overly realistic sim mechanics but go off the rails like My Summer Car, The Long Drive, Mon Bazu, etc(Surely I'm not the only one that wishes I had dying light parkour mechanics in house flipper just for the hell of it) but with all the incredibly specific job simulators you'd think odd and uncomfortable jobs would be the most common because it is so foreign to most people offering mundane realism and a level of escapism from reality in one package.
You got a look up what each tool does and how to use it. I like watching you play games like this. It's hilarious. The more you play the less it will scare you
maybe you need to use dowsing rods on the coffins when there is more than one locked door at the end. so you don't have to use lockpicks on those that are empty. :)
