You actually made a mistake here that didn't show up in the analysis. 9. b4 is indeed a blunder because after Nxb4 Qa4+ you can play Nbc6 and answer d5 with b5 like in that previous game. However in this game you played Nec6 after which O-O is winning for White. The difference is that there is no way to move the knight on b4 with tempo (a check), and White always keeps pressure on it, for example 11.O-O O-O 12.d5 b5 13.Qb3 and the best Black can get is a rook for two minor pieces.
