- Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Cafe, an independent band, performs live "Do Din Ki Zindagi Hai, Do Din Ka Mela" (Kya leke aaya jagat mein from Scam 19920) at GIFLIF Fest. Music has been one of the key art forms that GIFLIF has brought forward in the past 4 years. Our attempt has been to search for independent bands that create music that's new and refreshing and not mere covers of the already popular songs (read Bollywood for India). GIFLIF's first music concert with Neeraj Arya's Cafe was conducted in Bhopal in 2018 and it makes us feel extremely happy to see how things have progressed for the band. In 2020, 2 of their songs "Do Din Ki Zindagi" and "Mat Kar Maaya" featured in one of India's most popular web series Scam 92: Harshad Mehta Story, directed by Hansal Mehta. It's equally awesome to see filmmakers/ directors now looking for independent musicians. So yes, if you are on the hunt for some good music, you are surely at the right place.

We lost my little brother a couple of days ago. A young doctor, he had turned 25 on the day we lost him. This was amongst his favorite songs, he used play and sing this everyday. Perhaps the first thing to have comforted me in the aftermath was this song. We listened to this in his memory, but got comforted instead.

All they listen is English contemporary music produced and written in europe and america. I am 20 and I took an effort to know about India, my country, my motherland, only after if popped in my Literature minor syllabus of my bachelor's last semester. It's a shame.I know.
