Nice demo! I was so impressed with Denis' ROM that I made a copy of his as accurately as I could muster, even including the red label. His still looked better than mine though. He had a video about it on his YT channel. He would be flattered if he knew you did this.

I'm sure your being modest because I've seen your work and you make some really good stuff so I bet your version looks and works great! :)
I don't see why it couldn't be used on other 6809 based machines and the idea itself can be taken to other machines. I know the commodore has something similar to this.
