  • Remember flooding?
    The Bombers were unbeaten for the season heading into round 21, 2000. Western Bulldogs coach Terry Wallace decided to 'flood' numbers into defence to stifle the likes of Lloyd, Lucas, Hird, Caracella and Mercuri.
    It proved a masterstroke, as Chris Grant kicked the goal to give the Dogs a vital win that ensured a finals place.

      They didn't. Smith kicked one after the siren. It was never shown on the telecast though, only the goal umpire signalling the goal. This video cuts off before all that.

      If I remember right, Carlton was also undefeated that year. They played the Dogs the following week, and lost. So the Bulldogs ended 2 undefeated streaks that year, back to back.

      How is that not out on the full? Going by your logic, a player could dropkick the ball 20 metres over the boundary and that would be a throw in. Makes no sense.
