I've always loved Grumier's fencing. Always point on target, never overworking the distance, always looking effortless and when the opportunity presents itself, he's 100% into his change of rhythm and attack. His only flaw was he did not have that extra something when the big events came. Only one european title doesn't do justice to him but hey, that's how it is. Hopefully he will not be forgotten. Too bad he retired so early.
If Grumier didn’t lose to Géza Imre by two touches, he would’ve went on to face Park in the gold medal match of the 2016 Olympic Games. History could’ve turned out very differently.
Jiten Singh me too! 😃😃😃 Do you like épée too?! 😃😃😃 I had to stick to foil for four and a half years before I was EVER allowed to fence épée! XD Now I’ve been fencing épée longer than foil and sabre was a novelty to me! 😝😝😝
