I like how the trailers they're using to dump the corn onto the ground and push and pack it on the silage pile you guys gonna be looking for any farm hands come this summer
I used to live in workout in that particular area Ford county feed got to go on but cimarron feeders I think is what it's called her Finney county feeders over round garden City got a pretty good operation too great video
That used to be done. Problem was the mill is the limiting factor. If it goes down everything including the farmers in the field stop too. This way if a mill goes down or someone does not show up for work farmers can pick and semis can unload.
At capacity 52,000. One of the family member owners is in charge of the farming operation. The Deere tractors you see belong to the farm and overlap at the yard.

here is another example from Kansas www.beefcentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Green-Plains-feedlot-Kansas.jpg This is common in the high plains from the Panhandle of Texas to western Nebraska, eastern Colorado to Central Kansas.
This is a common comment as this seems inefficient. The problem with going directly into the mill is, if the mill goes down, the whole operation stops. High Moisture Corn has a narrow window in this area to be harvested. By stock piling, more semis can be dumped keeping farmers harvesting. Plus the mills are moved from pit to another.
I don't know about the money aspect. They do custom feeding and likely have their own cattle I assume. All the corn is supplied by farmers from all over the area along with the feedlots own farm ground.
That is what a lot of people say. The problem is, if a mill goes down or employees get sick everything from combines picking corn in this narrow window of time to trucks stop.
It's a superb almost industrial device, congratulations, but sorry, I am shocked. I see a lot of huge tractors running for nothing and tons of CO2 in the atmosphere. Please, let's just stop talking about dollars for 1 minute and think together; after all this activity, are you 100% sure that mother nature agrees with this? Is there no other way to make money?
Incredible processing procedures.... one pit is almost the same size as my entire hay lot..

I saw on their facebook page they are actively looking for help.
@@RockinHFarmToys what's the name of the farm if you don't mind me asking
@@rebelgaming7718 Not all, it is Ford County Feeders, Ford Kansas near Dodge City. Don't know who their HR person is.
@@RockinHFarmToys ok thanks man
How much bushel does that one bunker hold?

How much would a 1/64 corn mill like that cost from you?
Park the mill under semi unloading belt ?

@@RockinHFarmToys also in guessing that the trucks could overload the mill?
@@Will91289 Exactly. The busiest day this year saw almost 300 semis. The mills cannot keep up at that rate.
What brand mill is that
I don't recall. A long time ago they were made in Holcomb Kansas. Now there is a company in the NW Texas area making them.

I was hauling hm. Corn into there in the fall of 19.
Now there are combines with more power than the V16 on the mills.
Hi again Eric! I have another question how can I change out the clearance lights on a DCP/First Gear Truck? Good video btw.
Are you referring to the lights on top of the cab? Pete and KW trucks are removable roof caps. Your drill out the rivets and mix and match those.
Rockin H Farm Toys oh okay! I never knew those came off. Thank you again!

Yes, the corn is ground up.
Do you sell Meyer forage boxes for 1/64? Or where I can find them thanks!
try 2 scale fab.
Seems to me a lot of double handling
I did wonder why the auger from the truck could just feed straight into the miller, instead of dumping it on the floor,
